I think the description of the height of the shaft is misleading. It says 10.5". I tried the Big Kids' boots on, and their stated shaft height is 11", and these boots were a good 3" shorter.

Love these boots!! I am typically size 7 1/2 to 8, but the size 7 fits perfect & room for bulky socks!

These are really cute and fit comfortably, but I felt that they were too heavy for me. I returned them and got the lighter weight packable hunters. Unfortunately, they did not have navy, so I went with black.

These boots are the best. I'm barely 5 feet tall and all of the rain boots I find in stores hit me in a weird spot on the back of my knee. These Hunter's are perfect. I can wear them with everything and they were comfortable enough to wear for 5 hours walking around rainy Portland this spring.

Love the look, great fit. I am 5 ft tall so often have a hard time finding boots that don't come up too high. These short versions of the original Hunters are perfect. The Wellies are really high quality, the color is true to form (I got the green) and they are super comfortable. My only complaint is that they get a little scuffed up with wear, but that's to be expected. They are definitely pricey but worth it

I have been wanting Hunter Boots forever! I am so happy with my purchase. They look great and feel great! I found the original short boots and fell in love. The taller boots usually are tight around my calves and these hit just under. They are perfect, now I have to order the Green ones!

I LOVE these boots! I have had the higher pair in the past and they just weren't great for shuffling around the city all day! But these are the perfect height and so chic!

My daughter loves these she has them in red and now hunter green. She is petite so we got her the short boot. They are true to size and a true classic. I have had mine for 10 years and wear them often. They still look great!

Received these Hunters just in time for more rain! I wear an 8 1/2-9 and ordered the 8 and they fit perfectly! I also ordered the socks for cold weather. I have thicker calves and with these I'm still able to fit my skinny jeans into the boots! Love them! Will definitely purchase more colors!

I am in love with these boots. I bought the bright yellow ones and they are like sunshine on an otherwise dark and stormy day. I also ordered the Ugg rain boots (which are less than 1/2 the price) but these were just too awesome to pass up, so I returned the Uggs. I wear a size 9 1/2 and I usually have to size up for shoes that don't come in 1/2 sizes. For Hunter boots though, I wear a 9 and they fit perfectly. I have another pair of Hunters (tall rain boots) that I've had for 10 years and they still look new. I figured why mess with a good thing! They are worth the money!

Fantastic boot. I love the Hunter style but the tall boots are too slim for my calves. These fit perfectly. I usually wear an 8.5/9 and the 9 are just right with some room for a larger sock or an insert for greater arch support if needed. My feet run on the wider side too and there were no issues here. I think the green is really classic - a bit more fun than black or grey but still easy to wear with most outfits. Very sturdy and good grip on the bottom. Overall, highly recommend!

I'm absolutely in love with my nee hunter boots. I have big calves so the tall ones are tight on me. These are just perfect! I'm usually a size 8 on other shoes but they do run big. I ordered a size 7 and it fits perfect! I definitely recommend this brand!

i love these boots. My daughter bought a pair and I loved the look so I bought a pair. They fit great, I had to buy a size 9 since the size 8 were a little snug, I am usually a 8.5. The color is beautiful. I highly recommend.

These Hunter boots are the perfect height - not too tall and they hit mid calf. Size was right on, they make puddle jumping so much fun while staying super dry + cozy warm!

These are great for rainy days in CT. I originally ordered the tall pair in the same size. I am 5'4" and they did not work for me at all. This height is super cute and works with skinny jeans and gym clothes. Love them!

I love the shorter boot, feels more comfortable around your calf. Fits true to size.

I love the style and look. These are more comfortable in the sole than the tour style, seems thicker. I wear an 8.5 and ordered an 8 based on things I read online but ended up exchanging for a 9. They had a little more room and fit better when adding the socks.

I love these boots! I bought classic black and have worn them almost everyday since they arrived! I am usually a 6 or 6.5 but these run big so I am a 5. I wish they came in half sizes as they are a tiny bit snug but the 6 was way too big. Highly recommend they will last forever (i've had a red pair for 5+ years and they're still in perfect condition :)

I love these boots! They fit just like they should and look great with the Hunter Boot Socks underneath. They keep your feet warm and dry and look cute doing it! I would recommend these to anyone who is looking for a functional and stylish rain boot.
