This shoe is working out perfectly for me. I am a first-time tapper so I didn't know exactly what to buy. I did buy 1/2 size larger than my street shoe size and it seems to be perfect. The taps seem good and securely fastened.

These shoes hold up well and the sizing seems to be very accurate. We had to loosen the screws to make the taps louder, but that was simple enough. One thing I didn't know in advance was that our dance studio only keeps the very young students in the solid sole tap shoes. My daughter is just 8 years old, but the dance studio has pushed her ahead a couple of times, so she is now in a class that is doing toe and heel stands so she needs to be in the split-sole taps. A good thing to clarify with your dance teacher before you buy. The best thing about Zappos is that you can return the shoes for up to 365 days!

The shoes are a great value for the money. I ordered the correct size and had to return and reorder one size larger because they really do run small. Great shoes though!

2 pairs of shoes arrived very quickly! Great quality! Competitive price! Return of one pair easily arranged - just awaiting credit to be posted.

Tried a few different makes of women's tap shoes and these were the most comfortable for my rather thick feet. Sound good in class, too! Because these are roomy and have not only the elastic but the lace tie as well, I am thinking I may put those little arch support pads in there for added comfort. Only complaint is that I wish they were leather instead of the artificial material as they might breathe better then.

These are good shoes, but run very small. My daughter wears a 2.5 in the Capezio Mary Jane 3800C. In this shoe, the Capezio Yette Mary Jane, she wears a 4.5. The price on the Tyette is better, and we needed a black shoe just for her recital. The one complaint my daughter had was that the lining bunched under her toes. There is a thin fabric that covers the insole; it is this fabric that bunches up. Not very comfortable for dancing! I looked at it but couldn't figure out how to get it to stay. Maybe a glue? Or maybe just rip it out altogether? Recital is over now and I'm sure they'll be too small next year anyway.

These run about 1.5 sizes too small. I had to order twice to get the right size. Otherwise, they are great!

I am taking tap lessons for the first time ever for the exercise. I didn't want to spend a lot of the shoes since I wasn't sure how long I would need them...I'm having a lot of fun and the shoes are super cute! They do seem a little small though. I probably would suggest ordering a half size bigger.

My tap classmates are jealous. Capezio is grand, the price is fabulous and there is no word created yet for the customer service at Zappos. I would do it again and again, tap, tap, tap.

I love my new tap shoes. I just enrolled in adult tap class and wanted to get beginners tap shoes. I usually wear an 8 1/2 but in the item information tab it said go up a whole size or half a size. I ordered the 9 1/2 and it fits perfectly. I am so happy I bought these shoes. Super fast shipping by Zappos as always. I ordered them at 2pm, and received them at 1pm the next day!

Seemed a full size too small. Very cute and shiny patent tap shoe for my daughter. She loves them!

These run very small. I ordered a 3.5 for my daughter and they were at least a full size smaller than the 3.5 shoes we just purchased for her. We are going to try the 5.0.

Only the wide was in stock so maybe that is why it was not comfortable in the tie area on top of my foot. You can't really see in the photo, but there is an elastic under the ties. You can adjust the ties but then the elastic bunches if you need to tie it tighter than the elastic length.

They are cute but no where near true to size.
