Not So Comfortable -
They looked and felt great when I tried them on, but as the day wore on, so did my heels and after the second day, so did my instep. Adjusting them did no good. I was very disappointed because I loved the way they cradled and supported my foot as well as the way they looked. I wear a 7.5 street shoe, but an 8 running shoe so I got 8's. I guess Keens just aren't for me.

Cute shoe, but no support for plantar fasciitis.

Watch the Small Sizing -
These sandals run small. The back heel band pushes the foot forward so you may not take the size you usually do. I wear a 101/2 to 11 shoe, and the 11 is too small for me. It would not be if the back heel strap were adjustable. Women's sizes do not go above 11. They should. If you go to men's sizing, the back strap is very high, and the heel area quite wide.

I love Keen shoes and have five other pairs, but this style fit me strangely. I generally wear a 5 but got these in a 5 1/2 on the advice of the reviews. There is plenty of room in the back of the shoe, almost too much, but the heel strap seems to force my foot forward and jams my toes into the toe guard. The first few wearings were uncomfortable. They are slightly more comfortable now but I still end up with sore big toes after long walks. I'll keep buying Keens and recommend them wholeheartedly but this particular style is probably better for people with short toes.

Keens are a half size short!
I just ordered three pairs of Keen shoes, and all three felt at least a half size too short. I highly recommend ordering a half size bigger than you usually wear.

I'm not so crazy about these shoes. They're very hot to wear and after a full day, my toe tips are black. I bought a half size larger, as suggested, and the fit is fine. I do like that they're enclosed toes. Lots of people notice them and seem to like them.

Stick with the Newports -
These look nicer than the Newports, but they are a slot smaller and a very narrow. I have a medium width foot and these were made for baby feet in comparison. The sizing is also different from the Newport. I have a 9-1/2 Newport but that is way too small in the Venice. Order a full size up if in doubt.
Besides the fact that these were obviously made for a narrow foot, the shock absorption on these is not up to the standard of the Newport. The Newport cushions while these offer no support at all.
This isn't an upgrade to the Newport, this is a fashion downgrade. I have Keen Newports, Trinidad's, Yogui's, and Bronx, and the Venice isn't up to any of these shoes… Even if my foot was narrow and tiny, these things would be going back.

Least offensive of options-
I've had real trouble finding a "water" shoe that doesn't look awfully clunky or ugly. These seemed like a good bet, but am returning a pair because they run very short--my toes are at the very end in my normal size, will try a half size larger.

Okay the first thing you need to know about these shoes: They make your feet smell horrible and the shoes will stink too! Other than that they are super comfortable! Would be awesome for outdoor hiking/swimming shoes! Great traction, no breaking in needed.

About 1 year ago I posted a great review for the Venice H2. Now I'm back to post a not so great review. I did not wear these for extended periods of time in the past year up until last month when I wore them to the zoo. Having owned other pairs of Keen Newport H2, I figured these would be comfortable for a full day of walking. I ended up with blisters at both arches, right where the fabric is glued into the sole. I figured it was just because they needed to be broken in, so I took them on a trip to Hawaii with me. I wore them and walked about a mile, and developed blisters in the same spots. It hurt so badly that I had to stop at a store and buy a pair of flip flops just so I would walk back to the hotel. In my opinion, this is unacceptable for sandals at this price that are supposed to be made for walking and hiking. I'll stick with the Newport style since it doesn't seem to have that rough spot at the arches.

Wonderful shoe, but runs short. Most Keen's that I have tried seem to run 1/2 to 1 size short. Please ask them to make women's shoes in 11.5 and up.

What has happened to Keens? They don't seem to be made like they used to be. I ordered this style as a replacement for a four year old pair, and I have to say I'm sorely disappointed. Not only is the left shoe terribly curved in at the toe making that one shoe fit small (the right shoe was fine), but the arch support isn't what it used to be. My old shoes are more comfortable, even with as broken down as they are. Unfortunately, these are headed back. It's too bad because I used to love this style for hiking/biking. Not sure if I'll try again or not.

Soles wore out in 2 years of frequent wear and Keen does not make them to be resole-able. Very disappointing. Otherwise comfy, but not good for walking on dirt/gravel as stones get inside the shoe. Definitely for city walking on pavement...not for dirt.

I found the shade of purple to be very harsh and unattractive. \r\nI found the shoe to be very snug in my usual size and my toes rubbed on the front. I didn\'t even need to take a step to know that they were too small.

Didn't fit well -
I ordered size 6.5 and 7. The seven was way too big, mostly too wide, and I returned it. I thought the 6.5 fit, but it turned out that the foot bed was to short & I got very sore toes. I gave these to my daughter; she normally wears size 5 or 5.5. She has to tighten them up because they are wide, but she likes them. I don't think Keens are the shoe for me.

I'm a big fan of Keen sneakers and was looking forward to getting the Venice H2 for the summer. Unfortunately, I had to return these for the Newport H2s (which I love and recommend over these) because my pinkie toes kept popping out from behind the strap closest to the toe whenever I walked.

Purchased these for a trip to Disney World after reading all the great reviews. I did not have a good experience with them. Wore them the 2nd day and ended up with huge blisters on the bottoms of my feet. Had to rent a wheelchair for next few days because I could not tolerate the walking on those blisters.Needless to say, I am very disappointed in these shoes and would return them if I could. I did wear them a few times before the trip and they felt comfortable enough, but I would not recommend for a long day of walking.

I work as a river guide on the Ocoee and got these to wear while rafting. The toe protection is great. That being said, they function much better as a shoe that might rarely get wet, instead of as a river shoe. The soles do not grip wet/slippery rocks, and my feet slide around within the shoe. The strap on top tightens, but once strenuous activity begins, they loosen up a lot. They are extremely comfortable, but they are much better suited for dry locations. I gave them one star over-all because they weren’t good at the specific reason for purchase - river shoe.

Design Flaws -
I wanted to like these sandals. They're so pretty. But they had some fatal flaws and I returned them. Most of the problems stem from the raised sides and back, and solid front. You can't see it in the picture but the foot is slightly recessed. Little stones, dirt, twigs, etc would get in the open top but I couldn't shake them out as I do with most other sandals. I had to take them off, dump them out and put them back on. Often. Also, they were hot. The design didn't allow cool air to get into the sole. The sole itself was way too soft. It felt good walking in the house or on a very smooth surface but if I would step on a twig on a trail, the sole bent around it instead of giving me some resistance. As I said, I really wanted to like these sandals, but in the end had to send them back.
Soft sole.
