I wanted a sandal with protection for my toes. This is it. Five Stars in all categories.

These are the best. Quite comfortable, good cushioning, with elastic straps underneath nylon straps so you can tighten or not. This shoe is perfect for everything. I love my sandals. No blisters, straps are soft and pleasant. Nylon is the way to go; no shrinking, stretching or maintenance, and the shoe is the correct size. Zappos shipped them to me in Maui for free within 5 days of ordering.

Toe protection is pretty sweet and makes for an awesome choice river and lake activities. Can get a little sticky in hot weather when water isn\'t involved making a more breathable design a better choice.

I\'ve worn Keen shoes for about three years. I needed some waterproof sandals for the lake Independence Day weekend. Decided on the Newport H2. Great arch support, great fit. The only issue is after I got them really wet (walking into the lake), each time I wear them, the soles get black color on the bottom of my feet.

Great sandals! I'm a 28 year old guy who for the longest time felt that these sandals were ugly. Recently I tried them on at a local outdoor retailer and instantly fell in love. The perfect fusion of sneaker and sandal. The only issue with this sandal is that it's a bit frustrating on sand. The sand is tossed up into the sandal and is trapped in the covered toe area. Other than that, great shoe.

Bought these before a cruise to the caribbean. Zappos hooked my up with fast shipping, so I was sure to get them before the cruise. I needed a new pair to replace my old open toed Tevas (which have lasted 10 years). Had these about a month now and wear them everyday. Holding up very well so far. They seem to get more comfortable after a minute or two of wearing as the rubber warms up. They are a little warmer than open toe sandals, but make up for it in protection. Size was accurate, I was worried about them being too small so ordered 2 pairs. I'm a 10.5 and the 10.5 fit perfectly. Based on the time I've had them, I'd recommend them to a friend.

I saw a friend wearing these and they looked like very comfortable shoes/sandals. I was not wrong, these are great! I have not worn them for the entire day yet, but I am sure they will hold up fine even after many hours in them.

My husband and I each bought a pair of these Keens to wear in our new activity of kayaking. On our first few trips we wore tennis shoes, which certainly protected our feet but were just not that comfortable and took forever to dry out. Friends recommended these shoes, and they have been great. The toe cap protects the toes from stubbing in the water of our rocky James River. They are very comfortable for wearing in or out of the water, and fairly quick-drying. Probably because of the rubber toe cap, they are warmer than most sandals, however. And while they fit well, they take two hands (for me at least) to get on. On the whole, I recommend them highly.

The shoes are very comfortable. The only thing that bother me a little bit (but it's okay) is that my feet become wet sometime when I walk more on a sunny day.

I've been wearing Keen shoes for two seasons now and I love the amphibious ability they have, as I live on a lake. I have also worn them to Boy Scout Camp, too. The problem here is that I cannot buy the H2 in a wide enough size from Zappos. The H2 I purchased were too narrow at a D width, and I had to give them to my son. I would love to buy two new pairs at an EEEE width and size thirteen. Can someone help me with this?

These are one of the most comfortable shoes that I have ever bought! They fit so well, and are really stylish looking. They look cute with jeans or shorts as well as with casual summer dresses and skirts. The only downside to them is that the lack of lining inside and the waterproof footbed means that your feet stink after wearing them for an entire day (you will try and blame the sandals, but it's your feet). The sandals themselves are easy to clean, and don't hold onto odors once your feet aren't in them - They also dry really fast if you actually use them as water sandals.

Comfortable shoe when properly fitted...They run about a size small and are uncomfortably hot if they don’t fit right...Next time I may go with a version with a little less webbing.

Great fitting active sandal. Offers moderate protection around the foot and toes which are a plus. Use them all the time by the pool, boat, and docks, as well as going shopping in them... all around good utility shoe! True to fit and great ease of tightening/loosening. Love it!

Not for narrow feet - If you look closely at the detail photos, you can see that the foam lining is a single, continuous layer underneath the tongue area and the sandal straps. When you cinch up the zip cord and the straps get drawn together, this foam lining has nowhere to go, so it wrinkles up and folds over itself - very noticeable in the first few paces walking around the house. If you have narrow feet like mine (B-C width), this is a deal breaker. Good news is that the Keen Laguna is very similar in price, style & fit (although it's leather), but the foam lining doesn't extend down the sandal straps - when you cinch up the cord, the straps overlap the tongue area and the foam doesn't bunch up at all.

Well Built - These Keen shoes appear well made and are quite sturdy. Required a bit of breaking in before they were truly comfortable, but I have a wide foot. Should work well for riverbank fishing this summer.

Great sandal/shoe - I just took away 1 star overall because they don't provide much of a grip on slippery rocks. But what shoes really do? Also they don't dry as fast as I expected after reading the reviews.

Love this shoe!! I wear a 7 medium and this shoe runs narrow and I had at least an inch from my big toe to the front of the shoe. I found it at a local department store and ended up purchasing a 6-1/2 Wide which fits perfectly. This shoe is very comfy and so stylish. I had to return it to Zappos but they make returns so easy. I only wish Zappos had offered this shoe in wide widths. I gave this shoe 3 stars overall due to it running narrow and 5 stars for both comfort and style.

Not too bad - These are pretty comfy. Worked well for my trip around Yellowstone, but not recommended for hiking as rocks tend to get into them pretty easily. Also, they are not as cool as I had hoped, but they're comfortable summer walking shoes.

Looks Great- On Everyone Else's Feet! I just ordered this shoe because several of my friends have them and love them. I must have goofy feet, because the shoes just do not look right on me (my pinky toe looks like its about to pop out through one of the slots in the side- I think it's just the unfortunate layout of my feet rather than the sandals). I'm sending them back and ordering some trusty ol' Tevas. On a side note, I ordered these at around 10 pm last night and they arrived TODAY at 3:15 pm. Zappos- the...best...company...online...hands down!!

Keen's Newport H2 - Despite the feel you have of heat and of walking on plastic when you 1st put it on, you get over it quickly. This shoe really is comfortable and protects your foot much more than you would have thought.

Like the shoes... I have had these for about 3 weeks, and I have been wearing them a ton. I like wearing sandals, but prefer how my toes are enclosed with these shoes. I think the shoes are generally "odor free" as advertised. I find my feet sweat in them a little more than a more open sandal like a Teva. While waterproof, they do dry slowly. So getting them wet doesn't do any damage, as long as you don't mind damp shoes for next day. Haven't done too much athletic in them (hiking, etc.), so I can't comment on how functional they are for more strenuous activity. (As an aside, I was quite happy with Zappos! I ordered a two-day shipping, and got bumped to overnight for free -- awesome!)

I'm buying my second pair now - These are the most comfortable and durable sandals I have owned...I'm finally replacing them after three and a half years of wear. I have traveled all over the world with these. They are great sport sandals and have held up well to machine washings. The only negative thing I would say is that they trap sand and stones inside due to the narrow strap design, but you can easily remove the sandals and dump out the debris.

Good value for a water shoe - This is a good water shoe. Very solid for walking on rocks in the water. Lots of stability and protection. Only complaint would be that beach sand gets in, accumulates, and won't come out without taking off the shoe and rinsing. I normally wear an 11.5, but had to re-order an 11 for this shoe. If you get a shoe that is too long, your little toe can pop out the side. Overall I like the shoe for water activity, but I think it is a little hot for normal wear (but then I don't like anything more confining than a flip-flop).

New H2s look sharp, not quite as comfortable as my old pair - I've had a pair of Newports for about 3 years now. The first time I put them on, they felt like I had slipped my feet into incredibly comfortable gloves. The material the old pair is made of is micro-fiber like. It has a little stretch to it and I really like that. The material in the new pair reminds me of ballistic nylon. It seems incredibly durable and seems to hold up well. These new H2s just don't have that wrap-my-foot-like-a-glove that I get from the old pair. I still enjoy wearing them, they are comfortable, and they are my “dress” Keens now. I still slip on the old pair when I can though.
