Great pair of comfortable shoes that look good and never go out of style.

I wear them year round and buy a new pair each year. That way last year's pair becomes my outdoor work shoes and the new pair are for going out etc.

I wanted a high quality pair of boat shoes that weren't made the the biggest boat shoe brand out there right now, as I feel the more popular the shoe, the less craftsmanship is put into it to meet demand. I chose Timberland for its reputation of high quality materials, excellent craftsmanship, and affordable price. CONSTRUCTION: These shoes are well built and made to last. None of the materials feel Cheap or like they cut corners. The top leather is hand stitched, which I like because that mean's a human being is ensuring the quality of craftsmanship of the shoe. The sole is durable and has the proper razor cut waves in it to ensure slip resistance on wet surfaces. COMFORTABILITY: Right out of the box I noticed how comfortable these shoes are. They didn't feel stiff or rigid, keeping the break-in time to a minimum. The leather insoles aren't bad. They're boat shoe insoles. Anyone who has owned boat shoes before understands this. AESTHETICS: It is the classic, timeless boat shoe style that everyone has come to instantly recognize over the years. They are versatile and can be worn to work, out on the town, to dinner, and pretty much everything in between. I couldn't be happier with my purchase

Replacing a pair just like them that are finally getting a bit long in the tooth (at least 8 years old). That is not to say the old ones will be retiring; just slowing down a bit in their old age! New pair is just a fresh player into the game that's not quite as tired. Look and quality just the same as the old pair.

I have had the same pair for almost 10 years. They have lasted through travel, outdoor use, and even more formal events. They wear well in time and have never given me any trouble other than simple wear in the soles. I just bought another pair. Will likely never go with another pair of bot shoes in my life.

This is my third pair of the same shoe and not because they wear out.....I still own the other 2 pair(one resoled). I just wanted a newer pair for casual going out. The other two pair I ware out on every day........one pair is 30 yrs old. I would order a 4 pair in 10 yrs.

this is the second pair of this exact shoe that I've purchased. This to replace the first pair that are now two years old, have served me well enduring hard wear. True the soles are a bit thin and wore before the rest of the shoe, but the comfort and durability of the rest of the shoe inspired me to replace them with the same item.
