A very comfortable and well fitting shoe except for the gel-pack insert in the heel. It has hard, somewhat sharp edges that can be felt right through one's sock. Love the shoes, hate the uncomfortable heel thingy--I'm returning them and looking for something with an old-fashioned, simple foot bed.

Great shoe. Very well made. Excellent sole and truly one of the only slip resistant shoes on the market that still manages to look nice with dress attire. Excellent shoes for the price. They are built to last and are very comfortable to walk around at work all day long.

I have worked in food service for 9 years; good-looking, comfortable, safe and durable shoes are of great priority to me. I've had these for about a month now. How do these match up? Good looking: these are pretty sharp. I've noticed few stains on them since they have stain-defender (whatever that is, it works). They do catch scuffs, but real leather does. Just polish once in a while. Comfortable: for me, this is their biggest flaw. The leather at the top of the shoe is very stiff and can be abrasive to the front of the ankle joint. This could be an indicator of a long break-in period, which means the shoe will be durable, but I've only had them a month, so I'm not sure yet. However, it has eased in like a baseball glove, so these shoes are getting more comfortable and still fitting well. Safe: I always used to wear the shoes of a major competitor because of the pattern on the sole of the shoe. However, I have found these to be equally good or possibly better for safety on wet or even icy floors. I think safety is top priority here. Durability: Well, a hard month of use has resulted in them getting a little scuffed and that's it. No visible wear on the tread, no change in support, and they have gotten a little more comfortable. I think these will probably last about a year and a half or two years, which would be a record for me. Overall: I was happy! These have an upscale look that might not be necessary for casual food-service, but they have a nice style to them. Durable and safe. Not very comfortable at first, but can be broken in.

Awesome shoe...my husband loves them and they look great for the price. For dress and casual. Wish they came in brown.

Great shoes. Wear to work, business casual to suit and tie. One or two days to break in.

Great shoe. Fit is perfect. Gel insole takes some getting used to, but once you do it makes your day.

1. These shoes are not made for hard work. 2. They are not water-resistant, after a month, these shoes are broken. The worst shoes I've bought. The only good thing is the style.

The construction is absolutely terrible with this shoe. I bought a pair a couple years ago and the leather began to chip apart after a few months. I thought it may have been due to the bad winter we had, so I decided to buy another pair recently. After 6 weeks of very moderate use, the leather broke at the seams on the top of the shoe. Zappos.com is awesome; however, I will never buy a Dockers shoe product again. The shoe is very comfortable, and a true slip-resistant shoe, which is what I need to wear at work. There are not many shoes available that are casual/dress and true no-slip, so I'm still on the search for something that looks good and doesn't fall apart.

These shoes last! And the sole is forever. They did start cracking but I have had these shoes over a 7 month period. Highly recommend and very nice with slacks

Good for Office work.

This is my 4th pair of Dockers Society shoes because of the way they look and feel. I go through a pair every 6-10 months (because I work on my feet for 50+ hours in a quick service restaurant). Shoes for Crews does not have anything near as nice for the cost of the these Dockers. They do a great job, and I have never slipped while wearing them. I will continue to purchase these shoes in the future!

I bought these shoes in 2013 from another retail shoe store. I have frequently had problems with my feet getting sores from shoes. Not this pair. These are very comfortable shoes that look great when dressed for work; and look just as good with a pair of jeans, too. I recently ordered and received another pair of these shoes from Zappos since their price was a better value. This was my first shopping experience with Zappos, but I will be back as a customer again.

These are fantastic. I wouldn't recommend any brisk walking or running, but they're very comfortable, and affordable. For me, personally, they were 1, almost 1.5 sizes too big. I typically wear more casual shoes, but I think the size difference is worth noting.

I work in a restaurant. Good non slip shoes but they are plastic leather. Not real leather. They are very stiff but I think you just need to break them in.

These shoes look really good and pricey, but they are not. I had a couple of issues with them at the beginning. One: They felt tight when putting them on. Once on, they were comfortable for the most part, and have gotten more so as I have been using them. The materials stretch, in other words. I say for the most part, which takes me to issue Two: No Arch Support. I can tell very quickly if a shoe has it or not, since my ankles and shins hurry after just a few minutes. So if you're like me in that regard, be ready to buy some orthotic soles. That took care of it for me. Good luck!

Tried 3 different slip resistant black shoes. These were by far the best looking shoe. They also had the most comfortable insole. However, the upper came too far up on my foot and rubbed my ankle. Also, my foot was slipping out of the shoe when walking. Looks and comfort couldn't overcome the flaws for me.

These are very comfortable shoes, right out of the box. Sharp style. They are great with jeans. I gave these three stars on overall only because they definitely run big and they are heavy shoes. These are really meant to be worn with jeans versus work pants.

Great Looking shoe!! Good for work and going out. Needed to replace insert after 2 months and the leather started cracking after 5 months. I have bought two pairs of them and the leather has cracked on both pair. Price isn't bad but for the money I would of like to gotten a year before the leather cracked. I am tempted to buy another pair but they are just not worth it.

These shoes look great; however, it wasn't comfortable enough for the restaurant job I have. I wait tables so I'm standing on my feet about 11 hours per shift. I got blisters from it. Thanks to the great customer service from Zappos I was able to exchange them for something else. One star for the shoes and 5 stars to Zappos. Always!

Comfortable and the non-slip was great. However, after wearing them to work everyday for a few weeks they quickly began to fall apart.

These shoes felt comfortable at first but after a few weeks I had to buy insoles. I am a server so naturally I walk for many hours. The shoe looks sharp and they are slip resistant but the cushioning does not last. I will not buy another pair. They are over priced.

Great looking shoe but ripped a seam the first 3 minutes

Terrible quality. Sides split out within a couple months without even being every day shoes. Wore them maybe 3 times a week.
