I purchased the Kamik Olivia, Heidi and Ellie hoping at least one of these pairs would work. I normally wear a 5-5.5 in sandals and a 6 in boots. The 6 fit true to size in all three pairs wearing a relatively thin pair of socks. I liked the narrow heel because my foot didn't slip out when walking. But...and this is a big but...the shaft was so narrow that I could not wear any of them with a pair of skinny jeans tucked in - leggings, maybe, but definitely not jeans. For reference, I am only 5'0" and am not athletic by any means, so my calves are not very muscular. The widest part of each calf measures 35 cm or approx 13.75 inches. Yet all three pairs were still too snug and therefore not versatile enough to allow for wearing different types of jeans/pants tucked in. Too bad. I hate having to return three pairs of boots!

The top cuff of these boots is very, very narrow. Either the measurment listed was NOT taken from the top cuff OR it's incorrect altogether. I barely got my leg into this boot, wearing only pantyhose. I normally wear a size 5.5 and I have a very high instep. The ball of the foot of this boot is very wide and the arch is very narrow. They almost look like an exaggerated footprint. The instep is also very short, as it was putting pressure on the bone on the top of my foot and made it painful to walk in them. I took two steps off my couch and I was done. They're very hard to pull on and off. They are also very thick and stiff, however the color is nice (I'd ordered the grey) and they seem well made. Unfortunately, I had to send them back.

I bought these hoping to find a less expensive alternative to Hunter boots. I will have to keep searching because this pair was very tight and difficult to get on/off. I am normally a size 9 and the sizing for the foot was okay, but the shaft and ankle were too tight. They were also difficult to walk in.

Cute boot, but extremely narrow calves. If your calves are even slightly muscular, stay away!

Overall, I'm glad I purchased these boots. They are comfortable and so much more stylish than the ubiquitous Hunter boots (and far less expensive!). They can pass as dressier boots but look plenty cute with jeans or leggings. The only thing I don't like about them is the silly side buckle. It's purely decorative and the strap constantly comes detached from the buckle. The buckle also tends to catch on things and is starting to bend. (There is a piece of metal that attaches the buckle to the boot.) I'm quite sure it's just a matter of time before the buckle comes completely off. I have a friend with a pair of these books and noticed the buckle and strap has completely detached from one of her boots and the just the buckle on the other, leaving the strap to flap around without any place to go. Don't get me wrong....I like the look of the buckle...but it's not worth if it's going to fall off so easily, because it it's a much less attractive boot when it does.

Note: I bought these boots mainly to muck around in my backyard (no for style). First the pros: The color, the quality of the boot and the fast shipping from Zappos! Now the bad. When I read the other reviews and most said "size up and they are narrow" - boy they weren't kidding! I have thin legs and these boots were snug in my calf. Also, when my foot was in the boot, it had that squishy air pocket sound when I walked. The size was correct - so it wasn't that I needed smaller. SUPER annoying and that is mainly why they are going back. Disappointed.

I was so excited and ready to love these boots. Second time I put them on I crossed my legs and one of the buckles came off. Good fit but I wouldn't buy again.

With lightweight hiking socks, the foot part felt fine. But the shafts are too tight and rubbed against my calves as I walked and worse for up and down stairs. As I am looking for a rainboot with enough traction to hike in (coastal Alaska in summertime) the tight shaft doesn't work for me. Ended up with a pair of LL Bean boots which don't have as sturdy a footbed, but which are at least comfortable on the upper part.

Cute boot, but a little too tight in the leg and hit at the thickest part of my calf. I'm 5' 4" and wear a size 6 in clothing, so I'm not a big girl, but I found these boots to be too tight in the calf. They would have been fine over tights but I couldn't tuck any pants in to this boot. They seemed to be well made and would have liked them if they were shorter.

I got these boots for my trip to Ireland where it rains all the time, and I really like them. They looked great and stylish and they kept my feet warm and dry. They were also comfy enough to walk around in all day. The only reason I did not give these boots 5 stars was because the buckle on the side of one broke already. I've only has the boots for 2 weeks, and I was upset to see the buckle broke already. Great rain boots except for the broken buckle!

The boots are great for the rain and winter, but they are very tight in the calf area and a little heavy. The most annoying thing is the buckle on the sides of the boots. one buckle actually broke just after a few times of wearing them. The buckle would fold back all the time and I would always have to fix it and now it broke off. not very happy about that!

I tried these on in the store in my normal size 7, but I could not even get them on. I decided to chance it and just order an 8, but it was the calf that was actually the problem. I could barely get these on, and they were way too snug in the calf. I run, so I do have some calf muscle, but I have never considered myself to have large calf muscles at all. These boots, unfortunately, went back.

I like these boots and they definitely keep you dry. A couple of issues are the width of the leg, I have thin legs and usually have a hard time buying boots. These were a bit narrow and I think I can only wear with skinny jeans/pants or skirt. And peeps should be cautious when driving they are stiff.

I received the boot today and it is beautiful. It is tight around the ankle so this is an exchange to one size up. It is still tight but tolerable. I will follow up with feedback once I have worn them.

Cute, plain boot but difficult to get on as it felt tight along the top of my foot. I have a regular width foot and typically wear a 7.5-8. I ordered (and returned) an 8.

Got these as a gift and I am a size 9 (I am usually a size 9 9.5) but I could barely fit my foot into the size 9. I recommend ordering a full size up. I am returning and getting a size 10 because they are way too cute to pass up!

I seem to be allergic to these - tried them on at home for about 15 minutes, with socks, and my feet and ankles started to itch. Too bad: I like the look and the shaft height very much.

As some other people said, the calves on these are very tight. I have average calves and I felt like these were suction-cupped at the top. There would have been no way to wear these with anything thicker than tights. In addition the ankles on these are very big. It just doesn't look right. I also had to order a full size up and they fit just fine. The only good things I have to say are that the thick material looks like it would last and the removable insoles allowed me to put my own inserts without any problems.

I would have rated this 3.5 stars if I could. Overall, it's a good rubber boot. But the insole inside the boot was disappointing. In fact, I had to remove the existing insole and replace it with a better one that I bought. The calf circumference runs small (and the women I bought these boots for have skinny calves. For most of them the calf circumference of the boot fit snugly but not uncomfortably. For a couple of them it was too narrow, I had to purchase them a larger sized boots in the hopes the circumference would be wider).

I really wanted these boots to work for me. I love the color (eggplant), it is an intense purple. But, these seemed to be more like a narrow, and a full size smaller. I wear a size 11 in every other shoe I own, and I could not even get my foot into this boot. Very disappointed in that, but if it had been the right fit, I would have loved it. If you order it, order a size up, unfortunately for me, 11 is the largest they have it in, so I'm stuck with no rain boots! :(

The Kamik's are really cute and I love the olive green color. They are completely waterproof and the soles have stayed perfectly in tact all season. Additionally, they are super easy to slip on and off. But they are super uncomfortable! I have narrow feet and I normally wear a 7 or 7.5. I ordered the 7 and they rub, ever-so-slightly, everywhere! It's not noticeable until you really starting walking around for awhile (which is why I think I ordered the correct size, but the fit is just weird). Living in the Pacific Northwest, I need a boot that can handle lots of wear (and walking!). After the first couple of weeks, the buckles on both sides became warped and broken. The buckles don't really serve a purpose, but now they just look goofy. And, not only is walking uncomfortable, but driving is, too. Boo. I was really debating whether or not to splurge and buy Hunters boots and now I wish I would have.

Arch and top of boot are too tight. Grey color is lighter than expected. I'm normally a 7.5 and I ordered a size 8. I like that it's made in Canada and that you can send them back for recycling when worn out. The insole is very comfortable. Because of these positives I'm going to try the same boot in black, size 9.

I do not have large calves and I am a 9.5 or 10, but even with the size 10 I could not get my feet in these boots. The ankles are very narrow and I would have to struggle to get them off and on each time which isn't worth it, so unfortunately I am sending them back. They seem like good quality boots but the fit is odd. I never thought rain boots would not fit me.

These are very heavy boots and they are way small. Consider going up one or even two sizes if you plan on wearing thick socks.

I have had a pair of other Kamik's that I just loved. These however are a lot narrower, and really hard to squeeze on and off. I'll be returning them.
