These are are some of the best fitting and best looking boots I have ever bought. I wear a 10 running shoe (Nike) and these are true to size. They took all of 15 minutes of wearing them around the house to break in. The next day I had them on during a nine hour shift and no discomfort at all. Plenty of support at the heal to keep the foot from rolling over with the insert that came with the boots. They look better in person than in the photos. Well made and a good grade of leather used. These will not be my only pair of Ariat boots, I am impressed..... and I will order from Zappos.com again. Fair price on these boots and speedy delivery. Hat tipping to Ariat and Zappos for a damn fine pair of boots.

Hands down, the most comfortable things that I've ever put around my feet, which hate when things are put around them. If I can go barefoot, I do. When I can wear these, I do. I've worn them out on the town, and have always gotten compliments. I've worn them to work, (as an electrician), and I feel like I'm cheating and have worn slippers to work. I've worn them at home, when I'm sitting on the couch watching a movie, in hopes of breaking them in even more. And it's been almost 10 years since I bought them. I regularly clean, condition and wax them, to keep them soft and comfy. Like wearing a hoody and shorts on a cool night next to a fire in the backyard. Like putting on just a robe and slippers, and enjoying a homemade stout on a winter evening. Like feeling the sun on your skin on a warm day in the mountains, looking over the landscape. I'm not kidding. I don't usually write reviews. I felt the need to write this one because as I looked over my order history, I realized how long ago I ordered these boots, and thought about all that they've seen since then. I can't recommend them enough if you're looking for style, comfort, durability and/or the feeling of wearing slippers to work while looking really cool. These are dressed-down-incognito-rock-star-boots-with-style. I bought a size 11, (I usually wear 11-12), and they felt just a bit too big. The return exchange was so easy. I hated to send them back and wait for the news ones. I wanted to break them in NOW. I couldn't believe how fast the new ones got here. I put them on immediately. I've worn them for hundreds of miles, I'm sure. I've used a salve and wax whenever they've looked like they were getting dry. And they keep. Getting. Better. My feet are drooling just thinking about them. (gross.)

4 years later after literally wearing them every day (except in sports and formal events) I'm. Finally buying another pair. These have been great. A usual week to break in but wow. I love these boots, great on planes, easy off easy on for security, tough, looks great with jeans all day long. My sole is staring to crack so I need to replace them since water is getting in when I step in a puddle. I live in the tropics (Philippines) and wear these bad boys all the time and love em'. I just wish I had a good cobbler and I'd keep them going another 4 years.

This is the first pair of boots that I have worn in a very long time and I was very pleased with the comfort, size (13), width (EE) of the boot. I am able to wear them all day without any issues. I had a little trouble the first few days but again this was the first pair that I have owned since the 80's. After that, I am able to wear them all day with ease. I get a lot of compliments at work. I am able to wear them with almost anything which makes them perfect for a office setting. They am great for casual Fridays and then go straight to dinner after work. I have also purchased other pair Ariat boots that are more dress boots and they look and feel amazing too.

These are very cool, rugged, sexy boots. They're not too cowboyish, but rugged like a cowboy workboot. However, they're nice enough to look good with business casual or a night out. It took a while to hit the right size. I usually wear a 12 or 11.5. I ordered a 12. They were way too big. Then I ordered an 11 based on reviews about the boots being a full size too big. They were too small. Finally, I received an 11.5, and they fit perfectly. I finally figured out the sizing issue that so many people have had trouble with. Since it's a cowboy boot, it should slip a little on the heel (1/2 inch or so), and the arch of the foot should fit snug (not too tight or loose). The arch should be the only place that the boot holds onto your foot. If you have thick feet, you'll need a full size large. If you have thin feet, you'll need a 1/2 size smaller. Once you find the right size, these are fantastic boots. I got compliments the first day I wore them.

Love these boots. I live in a city - San Francisco - where there is no practical justifiable purpose for boots like this, except that they are fun to wear. With a western boot in a city, there is a risk of looking like a pretentious poser. However, these have a casual style with jeans that fit in well, and they certainly worked well on a ranch in Sonoma. Very comfortable, feel good to wear, and are okay for driving. Very glad I got them. (I also got the matching Ariat belt, which does match too closely - which is ideal.)

Boots are amazing, but had to go down one full size. I wear a 12 in every boot I owned, but had to get a 11 sent to me. This was my first time using Zappos and the experience was awesome. Great customer service and fast shipping.

I am typically a size 11, but after reading the reviews decided to go with a size 10. The left boot felt tight, so I went up to a 10.5. After breaking the boots in, for a week or two, they loosened up a bit; I need to wear a little bit of a heavier sock. I probably should have stayed with the 10 and hoped they loosened up. Other than having to wear a bit of a heavier sock, I love these boots. Not only do they look great, but they are comfortable. I have worn these boots with jeans and chino pants. I am not a cowboy, just like boots. I would definitely get another pair.

These are awesome boots. They run really big, just like everyone else says. I usually wear an 8.5 or 9 and am embarrassed to say, I'd to go with a 7.5. My feet are pretty narrow too, and they are a little snug width-wise. The only minor negative is some of the markings on the soles that make them look old and used. It is just paint and comes off very easily. Great, great boots.

These are great looking boots. A little heavier than I wanted, so I didn't keep them. Definitely need a full size bigger.

About a year ago it hit me I wanted some boots and I originally liked the Laredo work boots but then I forgot about them. In October a chance conversation I overheard at work reminded me of my quest and I saw the Ariat Rambler at Zappos - who I'd never heard of. Instantly I knew this was my boot. The Ariat Rambler is not another fancy, pointy toed dress boot and it's obvious they were intentionally designed this way for those of us who know who we are. Thank you. Since this was an online transaction I read all of the reviews because I was concerned about the fit. The boot in the video appears to be styled differently, dark blue, and looks absolutely nothing like the picture on the website so I was initially skeptical about ordering not wanting a return or exchange hassle. But I took the plunge and the actual boots look great like on the website. I thought the fit (9 EE) was probably perfect but wanted to try an 8.5 to be sure. I called and figured I'd first have to return the 9's before receiving the 8.5 but I was wrong and Zappos was very understanding and told me to just keep both pair to see which fit the best and then return the pair that didn't quite work. My boots are 'very' comfortable, easy to walk in, and hey, boots make a statement. I highly recommend Zappos and will do business with them again. And Katie even sent me a card! Thanks Katie!

Upon opening the box, I was pleased to see that the boot's "distressed" look from the picture held true to what I actually received. I immediately put them on and was pleased by the very quick (talking maybe 2 hours most) break-in time. I've worn them nearly every day since the purchase and have received many comments. My only negative comment is that they are not made for long distance walking. It felt as if there was very little arch support (almost like flip-flops) after a recent long walk. I decided to follow what other reviews had noted and purchased one whole size smaller, and I'm glad I did. I normally wear a size 14, but purchased a 13 D, and they fit very well. They even have a little space to give. I would also like to make a quick note that Zappos customer service went above and beyond for me on this sale, and for that I am very thankful!

This is a really well made boot. The rough Bomber type leather is both casual and dressy. Be prepared for some room in these. I am an 11 1/2 to a 12 and had to return my first pair. The pair I ended up with is an 11, and it still has at least an inch if not two at the top.

Great boots. Made in China, but besides that they're great. I'm glad I read the reviews and went for a full size smaller than usual.

Very nice boots. If you want it, you must order a one number less, but very good product! I'm very happy.

The color looks more likely a darker wooden color in the real boots, and I normally wear 8, but as most of people commented, I bought half size smaller ones, and those absolutely fit on my feet. Scratched feeling and bright rich color on the photos weren't present in the real boots, but I am satisfied about those. Boots tops were much smoother than what the photos show. Watch the video if you are concerning about that. The price is a bit higher than I would expect, but I personally like the square shaped tips of those boots, because it gives them more masculinity. Those really look mature and masculine. overall, I would like to recommend these if you really like masculined boots and these are the best boots so far!

I went a size smaller and did EE for width and they fight great. Need a little time to break in, but so far I am very pleased.

Most comfortable boots I've bought, not to mention the fact that they can be worn for almost any occasion, I would highly recommend them!

I didn't listen to the tip provided about the shoe width. I wear a size 9, ordered the size 8 with the medium width. Size 8 was perfect but had to go with the EE width. Thankfully Zappos has such awesome customer support...I got my new boots the next day so I could compare against the boots that didn't fit well.

I ordered this a few weeks ago and I think they are perfect. The distressed look makes them appear warn, used and abused, that is the look I wanted. They feel great and I ordered another pair for my son.
