My wide feet and high arches make me hard to fit. I've never spent so much on any shoes, but took a chance on Pikolinos; and they have been worth every penny. Out of the box they were instantly comfortable, even on an injured foot. The leather stretches just enough to slip over my arches, yet gives enough support without binding or pinching. I can't wear heels any more because of my injury, but these go equally well with dress pants or jeans; so who needs heels! The European size 39 seemed made for me; the medium width was perfect. I bought the Romo color, and look forward to buying them in Brandy. Several reviewers mentioned this as a good walking shoe, but this wouldn't work for me as the heel base seems too narrow for extensive, all-day walking. Super cute, highly recommended.

Fabulous! soft as anything I can describe. Fit perfect. Run a tad bit I think. But I love them! Felt like I'd had them forever.

This shoe feels like butter when you first slip it on. I have very small feet and have a difficult time finding shoes in a 5. This fit so well and I wanted to keep them but because of the weave in the leather, my little toe and second toe were poking out the the slats and they became uncomfortable after wearing around the house. I tried mole skin and everything else I could think of because I absolutely love the design and comfort of the shoe, overall. It may just be a personal issue with my feet, so I would still recommend trying them out.

You will love this shoe. They are the most comfortable shoe I have ever owned, yet don't have the dowdy look usually associated with the term "comfortable shoe." They are business casual suitable, and look great with jeans. Can't say enough good things about them.

This is my third pair of Pikolinos and, like the others, they are incredibly comfortable! I wore them straight out of the box and they were comfortable all day. The Romana has great cushion and such soft leather woven leather that supports the foot yet gives with each step. They are also very stylish - I had a compliment from someone the first day I wore them. I can highly recommend.

These shoes are extremely comfortable as well as versatile. My only complaint is that they do stretch a bit, so if they seem a bit snug at first, I would not trade them in for a larger size.

Pikolinos shoes are always my go to shoes for comfort & style! I have walked all over Italy & France in comfort. The heel height is just perfect for my jeans & low enough for my capris!

I love Pikolinos Romana shoes! Must confess that I have four pairs now in various colors and styles. They are both comfortable and stylish. Airy, cool and summery yet don't show my toes. Flexible enough to accommodate a wider foot. Great for wearing to a business-casual office, and they go well with both pants and skirts. I deserve credit for many others who have admired and bought these shoes as well (from Zappos, of course) after admiring them on me.

Incredibly comfortable. Can't quite figure out what to wear them with. Look best with long straight narrow jeans, I think.

The shoes are wonderful- very soft and really good looking in person, but I had to buy two pairs to choose the size because the previous reviews were inconclusive. So for my size 10 M I had to choose -41 and it fit me like a glove, really happy now!

My doctor at the Clinic was wearing a pair of these shoes when I first saw them. She said "These are the best shoes in the world; I put them on right out of the box and have worn them non-stop. They're still comfortable!" I tried them and she was right. These are now my 4th pair!

Addendum: Just wanted to add something to my already over extended review -- anonymous from NYC on 6/8/14 -- i like to give all info possible but i see that in my swooning over its comfort i left out some details which i always include: fit: i am size 37 in this type of shoe & that is the size i took & it is correct. I did mention it was slightly narrow that i would have taken a wide, although I'm generally a medium. (But that may be just me) And the color: i only saw the "terrano" which is the natural color. This shoe has weird color descriptions. We don't speak that language- helloooo. It is a beautiful color, a little lighter than online, but almost. It has no orangey tint which i like. Simply natural. :)

These are the type of shoes you put on and say "ahhhhh" they are that comfortable. Again, I'm attracted to shoes that provide comfort & stability without appearing old lady. I'm only in my 40's but cannot & will not wear unstable shoes, & definitely no teeter-tottering for me ever! I don't like all flat however either. Plus, they have to look on trend, and I even like some to be a little edgy. I have a similar shoe made by Rieker (they appear to be 99.9% alike) but this is a wedge, while Rieker's have a heel albeit small. Nevertheless, i made a return label because: Problem is it felt a little too snug, like i would take a wide if available. On the other hand, you can see the leather is woven so it will most likely "give" over time. Secondly, on my foot it doesn't look that great on. I'm so on the fence about it because how could I pass up a shoe/sandal that is so super-comfortable? It comes a little long in the front (not size-wise, but appearance-wise) & while I wouldn't call it "pointy," it is more so than my taste would desire. But the details here are incredible! The finishes are incredible - the way it feels butter soft...incredible. The back strap is unbelievably comfortable. No buckles necessary! It hugs your foot so wonderfully, the engineering here is genius. Someone remarked here that it feels like the most comfortable glove, I would agree but times 100! They are pricey, so I would want them to look fantastic on me, not just feel fantastic. (Every shoe looks different on different feet so it may look great on you.) I was going to send them back tomorrow, but I will take a few days & keep trying them on to look in the mirror & perhaps I will love them more. I'm telling you all this to try to convey how comfortable I find them to be. If I decide to keep them, I would want them in every color & maybe the Rieker's ones too so a wider variety of choices. (That's almost rent!) We shall see. Good luck! By the way, Zappos service & Zappos' reps rock! They are the best all around.

As everyone has said, you put these shoes on and they are perfect immediately. I get a ton of compliments. I am in cities where there is a lot of walking and am only buying great looking shoes that are comfortable - these are going to Germany with me for the ultimate test of cobblestone sidewalks. They look great with skinny jeans and make casual look stylish.

This is my first Pikolinos. Once I put these on my feet, I kept them on. It was like dipping my feet into freshly whipped butter. So very comfortable!

I've been wearing Pikolinos for a number of years and would highly recommend them. I've tried other brands, but Pikolinos are the best, very comfortable and easy to take care of.

I am very happy with these shoes, and thank the other reviewers. They are comfortable right out of the box. They fit more like a 8.5 than a 9. Very light. They will be great for traveling.

Very nice shoe, but my foot is too thin so it slides forward too much. Inserts don't work well with the airy design, so must return.

These shoes are great and really comfortable. They are real soft and fit great. The soles are not thick so I would not walk on cement for a long time with them on, but I love them.

This is a shoe that is slipper soft to wear, and beautifully made with an unusual look. A word about the size. I am a seven and a half and the shoes fit perfectly with not an inch to spare. It is supposed to fit up to size eight but it would surely be too small. So half sizes are okay, but full sizes should go for the next size up. In other words, a seven and a half to eight would be too small for a person normally wearing an eight. Zappos is the very best ! What a rush receiving these the next day.

I do love these shoes though they do feel a little snug. I think with wear they should be fine. I have received many compliments on them.

I love this style. I own two other pairs of Pikolinos in size 9. Unfortunately, I have bunions that push the leather lacing apart and it looks ugly on my feet. I may try one size larger and see if that helps. wonderful soft leather.

As I have grown older, the needs of my feet have changed, even though I still like sleek, sexy shoes. These shoes fit the bill. They are so comfortable, light, airy, and flexible. They also look really nice on the feet! They were comfortable right out of the box. I love them!

This is a great shoe. It fits as advertised. My only critique is that they should describe the detailing on the top of the shoe. I would recommend the shoe but let folks know that they have contrasting stitching on top.
