This is my first pair of Birks. I've tried them on before in stores but found them too stiff and did not trust that they would "break in" properly. However, I experienced plantar faciitis for the first time and after reading that Birks might relieve the heel pain, I decided to order a pair and am SO glad I did. But for the high arch support, these were immediately comfortable. After a few hours of light wear, I no longer felt the arch either. In combination with my KURUs, I no longer have heel pain.

I’ve worn Birkenstock’s for 5+ years. My choice has always been the gizeh but late last year (December), I decided to venture out and got the mayari (habana leather). And now let me tell you, leather and the mayari are now my 2 faves. After wearing the habana mayari non stop, I decided to get the black oiled leather. I can’t complain, Birkenstock’s are self explanatory and so is Zappos. As for sizing, I have some wide feet, and I wear a 9 in all other sneakers/flip flops/sandals/heels. I wear a 40 (9) regular in both the gizeh and mayari. I haven’t enclosed pics as yet but I ordered the oiled blue leather in the same mayari style, so I’ll post the pics on that review of all 3

i wear a 7.5 in most shoes, although my running shoes and flip flops are usually a size 8. i got the size 38 (7-7.5 US) Birkenstock Mayari in mocha, and they are perfect. i love them, and i can’t wait until they are worn and molded to my foot in that Birkenstock way.

These were my first pair of birks and I have loved them! I have had them for about 3 years and they are still holding up great. I like the toe strap and I like that they are less clunky than the other styles.

My first pair of Birkenstocks and I love them! Took about a week to break them in but after that they molded to my feet and are so comfortable.

I am normally an 8 1/2 but needed to get a 7 tie fit. Your fans should know. I like my sandals. I'll get back to you on their wear....

I wear a 7 in women’s shoes and ordered a 37 narrow in these...perfect fit! I have an average width foot and have never worn narrow width shoes, but I felt like the standard width looked too wide on me. These give me a little height to my short frame which is always a plus. Mocha color is very pretty and feminine also. Received these within about 24 hours of ordering...thanks Zappos!!!

Love these! So comfortable and I get compliments on them all the time. I even wore them for 9-10 work days while I was pregnant and my feet never hurt. Size down. I’m normally a 7.5 and I ordered a 37 and they fit perfectly.

Purchased these for my sixth grade daughter and it was love - and ultra comfort - from day one!

Excellent shoe. I wear them several hours a day and they are very comfortable. I've worn Birkenstocks daily for over 30 years, and this is my favorite style, which I have in two other colors. I was apprehensive about the toe strap when I bought my first pair, but it's very easy to get used to it, and it has never made a mark on my foot or caused any discomfort. Highly recommend.

I’m a size 9.5 so the 40 fit perfect! Comfort and style is wonderful. Can’t even go wrong with Birks. They always exceeds my expectations.

Great sandals, but they run large. I typically wear size 7 1/2 shoes, so initially ordered them in a 38. Had to return them for a 37 (equivalent to US 6 1/2 on their size chart) -- but those fit perfectly!

Takes a couple of days for them to conform to your feet, after that they are super comfy! Love them!

Love! This is my third pair, previously I had the synthetic uppers. The leather is wonderful. Very comfortable.

I wear a women’s size 10 and ordered a 9-9.5 size which for perfectly. Had to return first pair due to oversized, but no difficulty with the return.
