This is the only shoe I'll wear besides my running shoes. I don't know what else needs to be said! Once you break them in, its a hug for your feet. I vastly prefer the Mayari for the way it hugs the foot but still allows some freedom, and the way it helps keep your big toe engaged properly. I'm not a doctor but I attribute these shoes to saving my feet from developing bunions! Also, if you think you have wide feet, try the wide version of this shoe. I was reluctant to but it was a total comfort game-changer!

Ah, so much money I’ve spent through my life pursuing the perfect sandal, and here it was all the time. I adore Naot, garden in Teva, occasionally splurged on CorkEase or Mephisto, and then…..THIS! The footbed feels like a Bed for Foot! It’s secure on my foot. It’s lovely. I’ll be back - over and over. Thank you.

These have the high quality construction expected from Birkenstock. (especially compared to some much cheaper knockoffs I’ve had) The boiled leather is a little stiff, but I’ve been wearing them for short errands and they’re breaking in nicely. I usually wear an American size 7, and ordered a 38. They were way to big so I exchanged for a 37 and a have a great fit. I expect them to last for years.

These are very cute and extremely comfortable. I live in a large city and walk everywhere in them. Not only did I not need to break them in, but the white leather still somehow looks great. I wear them daily and highly recommend. I have wide feet and was worried they’d be too narrow, but they fit just right.

I was a little nervous about this style of sandal. I wasn’t sure if the way it went around my big toe would bother me. I tried on a pair of knock offs of the same style and they were NOT comfortable. I literally held off for a year before deciding to just give them a try because I love the way these look. I am SO happy I did! these are SOOOO comfortable. And SOOOO cute! I love love love them. These are such a good investment for feet and style. My only regret is that I didn’t get them sooner ??

Super cute sandals. A little daintier than a traditional Birkenstock so looks great with a sundress:)

This is my second pair of this exact style of Birkenstock sandal. I love the fit and feel. They have style with arch support. I have a slightly wide foot at the front and do not like my toes squashed. These fit well. Lots of toe space.

I ordered 2 pairs of Birkenstocks, these and the classic Birkenstock with the soft football bed. I really like them both however I feel more feminine in the mayari. It’s not as bulky as the classic sandal even though I really enjoy the soft footbed. I didn’t think that I would like the toe strap, But every time I try them on, it grows on me, and feels secure. I wear a 9 1/2 in women’s and an 8 1/2 in men’s and I ordered a 40 and they fit perfectly.

These are super cute for summer. The color is perfect, almost like a shiny ivory or pearl. They fit and look great!

These are only my second pair of birks but I love them more than my first. My first I like they’re the EVA Gizeh style I bought during my first summer pregnancy last year but my feet would sweat anytime it was hot out. These Mayari birk-flo have been quite comfortable right out of the box. I do wear them around the house and basically every day, it’s my second summer pregnancy and I have zero complaints about them, I want more but will wait a bit.

i bought these at beginning of last summer and they’re my first pair of birkenstocks. i’m a size 6 and i got a size 36 and they fit perfectly. they’re super comfortable and i don’t have a problem walking long distances in them. they’re also really cute and pretty much go with any outfit. i pretty much wore them exclusively all last summer and will probably wear them for the entirety of this coming summer!

Love love love the Mayar! I've worn Mayari for the past 20+ years and I'm continually buying new pairs as I wear them out. Typically they last several years for me, even in this crazy Texas heat. Buy them! Your feet will thank you (plus they are super cute!)

These are great sandals and a fantastic alternative to flip-flops, which I may never go back to. I've had a number of issues with my feet over the years -- bunion surgery on both feet and a stem cell injection on one. I also wear custom orthotics in my running shoes. Shoes that slide on, and with no arch support, that require me to "work" to keep them on while walking don't work for me. I used to LIVE in flip-flops but now wear them to the beach, the pool or to yoga. I cannot walk around in them for an extended period of time. I've been hesitant to try any sandal that does not strap around my ankle as I felt it would be just like wearing flip flops. A friend showed me how Birks really mold to your feet and stay put, no flip-flopping. I ordered two pairs -- the Mayari and the Yara (with an ankle strap). To my utmost surprise, the Mayari were 100% more comfortable and fit my foot better. This is my first pair of Birkenstocks in 25 years. I wore them around the house for a few days to start the break-in process. I've been venturing out with them and walking around town. I'm still getting used to the feel (although, every time I put them on it feels like a foot massage). I know once these truly form to my feet they'll be my absolute favorite sandals to throw on. I'm glad I went for the slip-on versus an ankle strap -- makes them easy for on/off at yoga and to run the dog out for a potty break. I can definitely see myself buying another pair in a different color or material or even trying a different style. I'm SO happy these are working out. I wear a 8.5 in regular street shoes -- I bought a size 8 (39) and regular width. They fit great!

These sandals truly exceeding my expectations, especially the arch support. I have feet the same shape as a boomerang and they contour to them perfectly! I am 8 months pregnant so I needed to adjust the width one notch, which was another great feature. Also due to my pregnancy it is hard staying on my feet at work for long periods without my lower back and sciatia on fire. These shoes took my back pain away and most of my foot pain. Such a lifesaver. Thank you Birkenstock!

Love these - great for pregnant, swollen feet

The straps are made of a stiff leather so I needed some time to "break" them in. I wore there around the house for a bit before venturing outside. They are super comfortable now and I'm pleased I ordered them.

Comfortable and the toe loop doesn't pinch toe or cause blister for sensitive feet. I have higher arches and nerve pain in my feet and feel the arch is a touch hard/aggressive for extended walking (even after several years wear), but without going for a full-on orthopedic sandal it's does just fine. Sandal has held up very well and doesn't look its age.

I was expecting a break in period but these were comfy right out the box! I’m so glad I finally got my first pair of Birks

I can’t lie, this is the 4th pair of Birkenstock’s, they are comfy and fit perfect right out of the box.

Sandals fit perfectly right out of the box! They’re very cute and although the picture doesn’t show it, they do have a white rubber layer under the cork. I purchased the regular width even though I have narrow feet because I’ve had issues with the narrow width sandals running a little shorter than true size. I’m looking forward to wearing these a lot over the summer!

I almost did not order this shoe because, based on other reviews and comments, I thought I would need a narrow width, and Zappos did not have the lavender oiled leather in a narrow. After trying another style in narrow, which did not work, I decided to try the myari in regular width. I am normally at least a 39 in a sandal, but I have learned that Birkenstocks run very large, so I ordered a 38 regular. Perfect! I don't know if it is different for different styles, but these do feel too wide at all. When fitting Birkenstocks, the footbed is key. When the fit is right, your foot feels like the footbed was custom made for it. The muted lavender color is beautiful and the patterned footbed is a great accent. I have read several comments on the "scratched up" look of the oiled leather - in my experience, that is characteristic of oiled leather. It does show marks, then they can usually be rubbed out, then other marks show up. If you don't like the look, then you probably want to select a shoe made of another material. I did change the toe strap on this shoe, based on some other reviews I had read, to going over the toe ring rather than under it. I found that significantly more comfortable, and I suspect the straps might wear better that way. They do need a little breaking in, but I have worn them at home for a couple of days with no significant problem. The only thing I miss in this sandal is the suede footbed. These are a smooth patterned leather, which you can tell from the picture, which is quite comfortable. I just miss that "aahh" feeling of stepping into a new seude birkenstock footbed. However, it doesn't take long to wear a seude footbed smooth anyway, so that is not really a problem. I am very happy with this purchase.
