This is my second review on this style, this is also the second pair of this same style. The first pair were so so comfy and fit perfectly. This pair fits okay, a bit tighter than the first pair. I attributed this to being new. I had also mentioned that the new pair was very stiff. (They fit okay; I were a 7 1/2 and a 38 is just right for me) After wearing for a couple months, they have not gotten more flexible across the straps or in the sole. This is the first disappointment I’ve had with Birks. I came home from work today with the tendon in my arch screaming at me. I’ve been wearing regularly, so can’t return, but can’t wear them either and I’m very disappointed.

Surprisingly uncomfortable. I’m shocked...returning. I was more comfortable barefoot. Not my first pair of Birks.

I bought these in March of 2018 but found out I was pregnant and due to swelling of my feet put them in the closet to bring out this summer to wear. I love them...so comfortable and cute. A month into wearing them though the toe strap broke. Unfortunately Birkenstock doesn’t offer any type of guarantee or repair to their shoes. Not sure I will purchase another pair of Birkenstock’s.

I bought these at the end of last summer to replace a pair of the same style that I had worn for years and that I loved. Brought the new pair out today and I am unbelievably disappointed. They do not feel like the same shoe, but rather like a cheap imitation. The footbed is rough and the sides of the footbed at the heel rub my foot. The toepiece is also rough. The underside of the leather straps feels like sandpapaer. The entire sandal just feels .....off, like it was the last shoe cut from a piece of material and didn't quite fit the pattern. The entire shoe is a bit off center, and feels crooked on my foot. Overall it is a HUGE disappointment, and unfortunately, I cannot return them since I bought them so long ago.

These run very large and even so, were quite uncomfortable.

This is my second pair of Mayors, and this pair is nothing like the first pair that I loved. I've worn the other pair so often (including hiking) that they are worn down. I got this pair as a replacement, and I am sorry to say they are painful to wear. The strap on the right side cuts into my little toe so deep that it bled (the left shoe did not do this). I've worn them now and cannot return this pair, so I guess I'll deal with it. But I definitely won't be wearing these Birkenstocks. Unhappy.

I LOVE my Birkenstock Arizona’s with the soft footbed. In those I wear a 40 and they are like a glove. Last year I decided to buy some Mayaris at Nordstrom rack but they were a size 41- but it was such a good deal that I didn’t want it to pass me by. Well the arch was TOO high on them so I got rid of them and decided to order the Mayari in a 40 this year. Well the 40 was still too small in that style so I decided to try a 41 again. I received the 41s today and my left foot’s arch is still SO sore from just trying them out around the house. I have them boxed up to send back tomorrow. I’m so sad because I really wanted these new trendy Birkenstock’s to work, but I guess I get to stick to the plain old Arizona’s.

I invested in this shoe a few years ago and i live in the chicago area so dont get to wear it very often It is not my only sandal It is in perfect shape and the cork cracked on one sandal riight where the leather toe band is The sandal is un wearable Very disappointed because although i in vested in what i believed a good brand it did not last

I am so so disappointed with this purchase! Can I give ZERO stars? I received a pair of defective fakes. That’s the only way to explain the pair I got in the mail. Shocking! I’ve been buying Birks from Zappos since 2012, own several pairs of their sandals. These Mayari had 3 very big problems: 1) footbed was much narrower and shorter than every other pair I have, even though I ordered the same exact size. Before ordering, I was told by Zappos that the same footbed is used across all styles. Not so here. 2) on the inside of the strap where it meets the footbed there was a big, sharp glob of glue, which cut my skin when I put them on. Horrible quality control if you ask me! I’d expect much more from $100 sandals! 3) the lettering on the inside of the footbed was in black, not in gold, as in every other pair of Birks I own, and as is shown on the stock product photos here on Zappos and everywhere Birks are sold. The shoes I received are fakes and I am just so upset that Zappos would allow such a thing to happen! I’ve been wanting to buy this style for a long time. Had them in my Amazon cart for ages, and the price kept going down and down. When it went down to $66 I ALMOST bought them. But then some reviewers there stated that shoes they got were clearly fakes. I didn’t want to risk wasting my money. So I bit the bullet and paid full price at Zappos...only to get a defective pair of fakes! Horrible! They went back immediately and I got my refund... Zappos Cust Serv didn’t seem at all bothered by this. Shocking! I doubt I will try to re-order. Might have to find a brick and mortar store that carries Birks, so I can verify with my own eyes that I am getting what I’m paying for. Not nice, guys. For almost $100 I expected better!

I love these shoes, but my cork soles are shredding after less than six months. Not sure if this is just a bum pair but super sad about the quality of the shoe.

I LOVED these sandals every sec I wore them right up to the moment my right toe strap broke, one year in. This is not the quality I expect from the Birkenstock brand and price point. Unfortunately, these shoes are wasted money

I've had TWO pairs of these, and both pairs had a toe strap break. They were less than a year old. I've had birks for well over 20 years, and was extremely disappointed in these. Sadly, the same foot broke, so I couldn't even match the intact ones. :(

Worst pair of Birkenstocks I’ve ever purchased! I have worn Birks for over 30 years, and bought from Zappos due to a recommendation from a friend. Within 6 months the cork started cracking at the arch on the right foot. It wasn’t long before the left shoe did the same. The crack has now found its way through the footbed on both shoes. The leather footbed is now cracked across the arches! Absolutely NOT what I expected from Birkenstocks! I’ve got pairs that have lasted well over 10 years. Super disappointed, and will never purchase from your site, nor will I recommend Zappos. Bummer...

I am so sad to say that while I've loved Birks for decades, my recent interaction with their customer service and their refusal to stand by their product has forced me to decide I will never deal with this company again. It used to be a very different company that it is now. It's very unfortunate. If you want to buy the shoes because they're comfortable, I understand. However, rest assured that if there is a problem, Birkenstock is not going to help you out in any reasonable way.

I have worn Birkenstock's for over 20 plus years and have always loved them. With this pair the quality seems to have declined. The sandals are leaving black dye marks on the tops of my feet which has never happened before. I actually question whether or not they are authentic Birkenstocks. The writing on the soles is black instead of the traditional yellow and the Birkenstock seal is different.

Love this sandal! I have never owned any Birkenstocks before, but got these after a friend purchased some. It took a few tries to get the right fit, but once I figured it out, they fit perfect and are so comfortable! I ended up ordering down a size from my usual 7-7.5. The 6-6.5 fit perfect with the regular width. I purchased the stone color and love them. They go with everything and look super cute with my jean capris! They felt wonderful the first time I put them on. I will definitely be ordering more in the future!

Not sure what happened. The shoe said 37 which is 6-6 1/2 but on my feet it looked like they were an 8 or 9. Way too big. Have to return.

Unfortunately this was not the item I ordered, so I sent it back. Did not contact zappos due to ordering 2 pair sandals & decided to keep other pair.

I bought them the beginning of June yesterday I’m walking through Walmart and the leather came out of the sole. This is the ONLY issue I’ve ever had with Zappos. I have no box no label and I’m out $135 just super disappointing. I called and the customer service rep said I’d have to have the box. With all the shoes I buy from Zappos they should stand behind the product

This is the third pair of silver Birkenstock Mayari I have owned in recent years. Have foot problems, and I live in Birkenstocks yr. round and wear them out. I love the silver as they are a matte silver and are very neutral. The Mayari style is my favorite fit of all the Birkenstock sandals. I wear a 39N and it is frustrating that Birkenstock does not make more colors in the Narrow fit. This size gets out of stock often as it is a common size. 8/8.5 women's American shoe size. They run a bit wide in general, I need Narrow, especially for my heel. I would order more Mayari style sandals if I could find other colors in my size. I also wear Gizeh style Birkenstock sandals, and same thing, not many of the colors come in the Narrow sizing. If considering these silver Mayari, you cannot go wrong. If you are new to Birkenstock shoes, it does take a week or two of breaking them in to mold to your feet, then they are so comfy. I have multiple Birkenstock sandals and my feet feel best if I rotate wearing a couple different pair a day or switch days with different styles. Plantar fasciatus, arthritis, no arch, etc.

I've been want to purchase a Birkenstock sandal for a while now and what better time than for summer! Looked into different styles and settled on the Mayari in black oiled leather. I read some reviews on the style and many complained about the toe loop breaking after minimal use but I really liked the look of the Mayari so I purchased a pair. When I received them in the mail I was really looking forward to wearing them but when I took them out of the box the toe loop on the right sandal was already broken. I returned them the next day.
