I wanted so badly for these to work out. I tried them on in a store and loved them but went to Zappos to look at color options. I loved the leather look and purchased, but it is so incredibly stiff it makes the shoe uncomfortable. It might stretch and soften over time, but at $125 it’s an expensive risk to take. I may try a different color/material in the future.

The Mayari are very cute and feminine. I loved the silver for summer and the fact that they will match everything. Unfortunately, this style does not fit my wide feet. They are definitely more narrow than other Birkenstock styles like Arizona and Florida. They will need to go back. Size charts are inaccurate. I usually wear a 7.5 in most shoes but wear a 36 in Birkenstocks. At least my old Florida ones that fit are a 36.

I really wanted this shoe to work. I have another pair of Birks so I knew what to expect. But the strap closest to the ankle was a little to close when I walked, and the toe straps just never felt quite right. I'm bummed that it didn't work out!

Great foot bed, but once again the straps are too big for the forth of my foot. I bought these because you could adjust them, but you can’t adjust both toe straps. I didn’t find them very attractive either, although the straps were a nice color. I will have to return them because my feet moved too much in them.

I don’t know how people think these shoes are comfortable... the arch in the middle of them is horrible. It’s hard and hurt my feet just trying them on. I walked in them for about 5 minutes and was in pain. Very cute sandals but painful.

I have high arches, so styles like the Gizah don't stay on my feet well - some sort of thong is better for me. And straps across my high instep are annoying and of little function. I have a ton of foot issues associated with connective tissue disorder (elevated metatarsal, arthritis, bursitis, neuroma, etc....). While these would not be good for me for wearing a long period of time, they would be ok for a quick dog-walk or errand and erratic swelling. But they are sized 8.5-9 or 9-9.5 and I am more like 8.5-9. My toes don't line up in a tapered shape - more like duck feet. All my toes are long - on one foot, three toes are the same length. So in the 39, because the toe is fairly tapered (sort of odd that a shoe this wide would still have such a tapered toe line) my third/fourth toes bump the edge and would get sore. In the 40, there's too much space in front of the big toe and the thong area is also a bit large to fit comfortably. If you have high arches, these probably have more arch support than any flip flop type sandal other than a Vionic, but they still don't have enough. Too bad, they are cute for what they are.

I've had two pair of Birkenstocks for over ten years and they're comfy. When I tried these on they were huge on me, even though I ordered same size as before, and they were very uncomfortable the way the straps were designed. Back to my old, very ugly ones...

Love the look but one shoe was way bigger then the other.

Very cute, but the toes strap on the right shoe is really long and sticks up. The other shoe does not have this problem. Seems like a quality control issue, so I'm returning them.

Footbed fits well and I like the style. What I don't understand is why most birks aren't made of leather anymore. My first pair of birks lasted 3years and I had the soles replaced after 2 years because the footbed and straps were going strong. Then I had these in silver pleather and the toe-strap ripped off after the first summer - long before the cork or sole needed help. This is a natural color and listed as a different material than the silver, but it looks like the same stuff to me. No thanks.

I bought these shoes in March and wore them almost every day through October. The toe strap in one shoe pulled out and I've not been able to find someone to repair it. I loved the shoes, but am disappointed that such an expensive pair of sandals didn't last longer than 6 months.

I wear wide but these were not wide enough for my feet. They also didn’t have any cushioning and were too hard for me. I walked three steps in my living room and immediately took them off to return.

The toe loop didn't work for me. Also, I don't wear this brand and found the footbed hard and the ridges didn't quite line up right on the sole of my foot.

For this style, the 39 is too long. Also, the strap around the big toe is not super comfortable for me. Exchange.

I have now had 2 pair of these sandals, both the toe strap broke in under 6 months. They are incredibly comfortable, but just don’t last.

Interesting sizing for width: the Narrow width is slightly wider than normal narrow width; and the Regular width is slightly wider than normal regular width. Has Birkenstock changed their sizing??

So, I ordered these in the color "Black Birko-Flor" and the picture that Zappos has posted for that color is not the correct one! The style is exactly correct- it's the finish of the leather that is misrepresented. The picture that is shown for "Black Birko-Flor" is a matte leather finish, and the ones I recieved are a glossy finish. I love the shoe and will return to exchange for a different color, but the color I wanted was listed as a incorrectly, unfortunately. BUT I love these shoes! Just look out if you're wanting the black matte finish because they do not offer them!

Nice sandals, unfortunately they don't fit my feet as I hoped they would. I have a high arch, and thinner width feet. These are very heavy and uncomfortable for me to walk in. Unfortunately, I have to return them.

This shoe was ok. Not my favorite look for birkenstock. Was comfortable and practical. I also did not like the brown broze color- looked kind of weird.

Very stiff soles. I thought they would be similar to the Mephistos I've worn for years. They are not nearly as comfortable.

Big and clunky and are larger than marked IMO. So comfortable though. I should have returned them but now they are my very comfy house shoes.

These are super cute. They run narrow, the leather is uncomfortable-i couldn't stick through the break in process. You can buy these in a wide width, not sure if Zappos offers that.

I love the style of these, but the leather rubbed on my skin and it kills :( I had to tape up my toes and feet with medi-tape to be able to walk when I was out in these.
