This is the second time I have received two different shoes....not sure what’s happening at Zappos! If it would have been a pair I would have given it a 5 star across the board!

I love birkenstock’s! These are my 13th pair and the only downside of these sandals is that since they have a toe loop, if you want to wear them in the winter with socks, you gotta wear those birks that have toe holes. I like birko-flor because it’s the only type I can ever find on sale and there’s no “breaking in” period as the part that is against your skin is like a felt like material. I’m usually a size 8 in Nike tennis shoes and about an 8.5 or 9 US in ASICS and the 38 fits me perfectly. I have a couple of pairs that are 39, the straps are a little big but the footbed doesn’t seem too huge on me. Arizona’s are the only ones I can go up a size in without it looking ridiculously huge on me. If I go up in size on the Mayari and Gizeh, my entire heel wouldn’t be in the heel cup as i try to get my toes comfortably under the toe loop or toe thong.

I love this shoe! Beautiful color. I have a very narrow foot and was concerned about how wide Birkenstocks were, but the narrow width fits my foot well. I ordered down a size. I normally wear a 6 1/2 - 7 sandal. The 37 is perfect. So comfortable!

I’ve been breaking them in for a week now or two. It’s my first pair of birks. I’m told the more you wear them, the better they feel and mold to your feet. They are a bit stiff but not uncomfortable - no sores or rubbing. After reading reviews I bought bought a 37 instead of 38 (7.5) I would usually buy. At first I thought might be a little too small as my big toe is right at edge but a longtime Birkenstock’s wearer who is same size as me said they were perfect. I have a regular width (narrower but never buy narrows) and arch. I don’t particularly like flip flops/things but these feel secure. Going to St John for a week and these will be my everyday sandal to go with everything. One thing to mention- they are not white as advertised. They are very pale gray. I think they are nice neutral that will go with everything even though not what I was expecting. See pics below. You can see the real white bottom against the upper is more gray.

Love this shoe! This was my first pair of Birkenstocks. Ordered size 9 (my usual size) but had to return for and 8. So easy! And it took about a week to break them in good, but now they are the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. Just ordered another a pair of the Madrid style. Cannot wait for them to arrive...tomorrow! Love Zappos.com. Love!

These are comfortable, really well made shoes! The arch is very supportive. I have plantar fascia with one foot and the shoes seem to make it easier to be on my feet during the day. The style is a little funky but having a German background, I'm OK with that!

Too big! Has Birkenstock changed their sizes? I take a 6.5 in most shoes and 7 in running shoes. Wide forefoot and narrow heel. These were the recommended size 37. Huge. I ended up going with the 36 in habana oiled leather. I have an older pair of Mayari that are a size 37 and these new size 36 are the same exact size. Strange! I added a pic of the older size 37 Mayari in gray birkoflor, and the new Mayari in Habana oiled leather.

I ordered the Mayari in the tobacco leather. I previously owned a pair in the birkoflor material and the toe strap ripped out after 2 years of hard wear. I didn't want that to happen again and opted to go for the real leather. If you have worn the birkoflor, the leather is a drastically different breaking period. The first time I wore them I thought my big toes might fall off and the straps left crisscrosses right on the joint. After 3-4 wears the sole began to form more to my foot and I stopped having the problem with the texture. I think it is important to note that all of the straps on the shoe will feel extremely rough for the first few wears until the leather gives a bit more.

I had no idea what size to order so read a lot of reviews. I almost always wear a 8.5 although some tennis shoes and flip flops I wear a 9 and with heels sometimes I need an 8 so the back doesn't slip. I ordered a 39 and it was perfect. I definitely could not have sized down any, not sure what a larger size would look/feel like. I do not have wide feet by any means and the regular is still perfect. I think with the 2 strap adjustment you really have a lot of room for variation but a narrow certainly wasn't necessary. I love the feel overall and am very happy.

Apparently this brand runs large. I ordered my size and they were huge!

I bought for my 14 yo granddaughter. She picked the color and they look good against her tan. She loves them!!

All flip-flop/thong sandals hurt my feet, so I did not have high hopes when I ordered the Mayari sandals. I wanted a pair of black patent sandals for the summer (and Zappos is so great about returns) that I figured I did not have much to lose. I was shocked when I put these on and they did not irritate the space between my first two toes. It is going to take a little while to break these in as they do not have the soft footbed, but I am absolutely thrilled with this style! I always take a 40N in Birkenstocks and these fit perfectly. I have thin feet with high arches and long toes and these sandals actually make my feet look feminine. I am thinking about getting a second pair in a different color. Thank you, Zappos!

Bought in silver in narrow. Arrived lightning fast. Put on my feet and can't force myself to take them off. My feet are in love. They look much cuter on than I was expecting. Very pleased! I ordered the same size as a pair of Naot shoes I have and the fit is perfect. Thank you Zappos for offering narrows and such cute color options!

So comfortable. I slip them on right out of bed. Helps with my heel and arch problems.

Style and comfort are awesome. So versatile. Only knocked off two stars because i ordered the wrong size and we fixed it but they sent me the wrong color now.

I love these sandals so much these were my replacement pair. I still wear the 3-year-old pair but wanted to be sure I got another pair in case Birkenstock ever stops making them. The Mayari look is less clunky than the classic Arizona (though I own and love a pair of those, too) and I wear them with everything. The Birkenstock arch and sole support have been a boon to my high arches and 60-year-old foot issues.

Love!! Felt true to size and extremely comfortable with little to no break in time! So happy with my purchase I bought a second pair in Magenta!

This shoe has the great arch support and comfort that all classic Birkenstocks have. What's nice is that the straps are sleeker than the more clunky styles, such as the Arizona. You get all of the support with a minimal amount of shoe. The sandals are very cool in the hot summer. The straps wrapping around my big toe took a little getting used to, but they aren't at all constrictive.

Love these shoes! I am so happy I purchased them. Great support, great fit and a lot more stylish than other Birkenstocks that I've owned.

I bought these to wear while walking all day on vacation and they did not disappoint. They are very comfy although the large arch support takes a bit of getting used to. These shoes are true to size or maybe slightly big.

I have been wearing Birkenstocks for my whole adult life. When I used to teach, I loved that I could be on my feet all day and never be sore. Now that I am a mom, I love that I can slip them on quickly and be comfortable chasing my kids around all day. I was looking for a pair of more feminine looking sandals to replace the New York pair that I have had since college. The Mephisto Helen shoes were recommended to me by a friend, but when I bought them and tried them on, my feet were too wide for the tops. My toes were spilling out over the footbed and it just looked terrible. I also bought the Birkenstock Gizeh but had to return those as well because the rounded leather part above the thong extended out on top of my big toenail and just looked silly. The width of the Birkenstock was perfect, though. So I was happy to find the Mayari because I felt like they were a great combination of smaller, thinner, more feminine buckles and straps, with a wider footbed. I guess I never realized how wide my feet are. I normally wear medium width shoes, but for some reason my toes are happy spreading out in these. If your feet are narrow, you probably would have to make the straps very tight. I do not know how comfortable that would be, or if it would compromise the look of the shoes. These are super comfortable for me and I do not think I have taken them off all day. I love the Golden-Brown Birko Flor color. It is just a little fancier than brown leather flip-flops. I am really happy with these and I know now that I will always own a pair of Birkenstocks!

The day they arrived I packed them in my suitcase and left on vacation. Once I arrived at my destination, I went for a nice long walk! Great comfortable fit - no blisters or sore feet. I can only wear Birkenstocks as they have great arch support. These feel great on my feet.

Great sandal! The patent leather makes it a little more dressy than other Birkenstocks. I would recommend ordering a 1/2 size smaller. I had to send back my first pair b/c they were too big.

I found these shoes surprisingly stylish and comfortable. I have gotten many compliments. To all my sisters with low arches. You have to give it some time they will hurt at the beginning. Give it a few days or many wearings. I keep them by my bed so they are the first things I put on in the morning.
