My first pair of Birkenstock’s and I love them. They are pretty comfortable and I have a lot of breaking in left to do. True to size and like this sandal style!

adorable shoes. i love looking down at them. however, i'm a size 8, and i got a 39. i never had birkenstocks before, so i didn't realize they would be a little larger since the reviews were a bit mixed about how the sizes ran. i wore them for a few days, and my foot is sloshing around. i tightened up the straps (nice option) and it improved. i also am NOT used to the thing between my toes (i'm a total slide person) but i thought these might be a better option than just the traditional flip-flop. i'm adjusting. but they look great with everything!

cute. seems a full size bigger than i thought. the toffee color has a metallic like shine which doesnt relly come through in the pic

I usually wear size 6.5 - 7. Ordered these in 6- 6.5. They were very big. Returned them for 5, which is usually way small. Size 5 fit perfectly

Love the thin band vs the wider, traditional style. Have only owned for 2 days and have already received tons of compliments on style and color.

I actually wear a 7 to 7 1/2 in a gym/tennis/walking shoe. I heard these run big and they do so I ordered a size down...the 6 to 6 1/2. Still too big so I ordered the narrow in the 6 to 6 1/2. I ended up with 5 to 5 1/2 regular. These do fit. So 2 sizes smaller for me. I have had two foot surgeries and have issues with something between the toes but these work because that part is flat and not rounded.

I LOVE the look of the blue oiled leather, but they were not comfortable at all and the toe loop on the R one (not shown) was much looser than on the L one. I think the straps probably would have become more comfortable with use but I didn't want to risk it. The stone fake leather pair were comfortable out of the box. I give 2 stars for the blue and 5 for the stone so 4 overall.

I wanted to like these sandals, but sadly I had to return them. I have a pretty wide foot and these were fine,, but they were at least a 1/2 size too long. I usually wear a 7 or 7 1/2, but these were just too long in the size 7. I ended up getting another pair of Vionics as the size 7 is the perfect size in length and width. I guess I’m not a good fit with the Birkenstocks, but I thought the shoe and color were cute.

I usually wear a US 9/40 but I read that these run large. The 40s were huge and even the 39s felt too large. I ended up going with 38s

Loved everything about these sandals except the ridge that goes under the toes is too high and hurt when I walked.

They're true Birkenstocks, comfortable (although the sole is stiff, as always), and more stylish than the average Birkenstock. They lack a strap that buckles around the heel. As a result, they look better but they're a lot more effort to wear.

I normally wear a size 10 sandal. And, just about the only sandals I wear are Vionics. I have flat feet and Vionics have a great arch support and recessed heel bed. My favorite style was discontinued some time ago so after reading many sandal reviews on line I decided to try the Birkenstocks. I ordered the Mayari in both size 40 and 41. It was a tough decision. Although I tend to like my sandals a little loose, the 40 seemed to fit better and the hump in the toe bed seemed to be in the right place. I believe I could wear either size but I went with the 40 as they just seemed to conform to my feet better. It has taken me several days of walking around the house in them to feel comfortable enough to wear outside. I believe I will be happy with these. Am returning the size 41 pair. Thank you Zappos for making it so easy to try several sizes/styles before making a decision. A the price of these shoes, making the right decision is very important.

I need the narrow width in these, so that's great. I usually wear a size 8, ordered a 39 and they seem TOO BIG. I like the style. I'm hoping the 38 works.

Rather disappointing... I have a pair of Mayaris that I totally love which I bought at a local dept. store several years ago. They are my favorite sandals of all time, but they're showing their age, so I decided to order not just one but two new pair, in black leather and tobacco leather. First off, the tobacco color isn't even close to the photo--it's a much paler and kind of sickly brown compared to the warm medium brown that's pictured. The black pair looks fine, but the toe loop is way too tight on the right shoe, and too loose on the left shoe, and the straps aren't the same snugness when buckled to the same notch (and not because of my feet). I realize these will break in and stretch to fit over time, but I'm not comfortable with the look and feel of the different toe loops so I'm returning these and may try to find a pair locally instead. It's been a while since I bought new Birks but these seemed to fit a bit longer in the toes than my other pairs, too...though it's hard to say for sure without wearing them for a few years! I'll buy these again, but hope for better luck next time.

This is my third pair. This is the first one that I'm having trouble getting comfortable wearing. There may be something wrong because it caused my large toe to go numb. I'm trying them out again a few minutes at a time to see if that will help. Wish I'd realized it before I wore them a bit so I could exchange them.

This is my 4th pair of Birks, and these feel narrower for some reason. The toe strap is pretty comfortable, and I'm sure I will love them once the footbed breaks in. The blue oiled leather is very nice. These are definitely my prettiest birkenstocks!

I was hesitant because the style came and both narrow and medium. I used live chat and received the best help. She suggested I try the medium and she was right! These were comfortable but I have yet to wear them for an extended period of time. And that is why I only gave them four stars for overall. I absolutely love the color of blue that they are. Almost as much as I love Zappos!!

I love these sandals. My only problem is that I have a whacky third toe that doesn't like the ridge at the top. I'm so in love with these sandals that I'm trying to train the toe to not go to the right of the ridge!

Never having owned any Birkenstock's I wasn't sure what to expect. That being said they weren't as comfortable right out of the box like I thought they might be. I thought these shoes were really cute and I liked the color, but I just didn't love them. I was afraid they were too expensive to keep if I didn't love them. Sorry.

I am exactly truly perfectly a size 7. These were HUGE in 38, which size chart says = 7-7.5: nearly 3/4 of an inch of empty shoe front and back. Am reordering in a 37.

First pair of birks. Still breaking them in, my arches aren’t used to such support. I got the narrow and it was perfect.

Nice look to the usual heavy Birkenstock. But for my flat feet they were too large.
