These were great and even a little more stylish for a Birkenstock sandal, but the toe post was really uncomfortable, even though I do wear flip flops fairly often and don’t have a problem with them. The ones I bought were the Birki-flor material, so maybe the real leather ones will be better.

I wanted sandals to replace flip-flops and heard how comfortable Birkenstocks are. I didn’t want the original “hippie two-strap” style, though. I decided to give these a try. I have wide feet so the adjustable straps are great. It’s still too cold to wear them for any length of time here, but for the short amounts of time that I’ve worn them around the house, they’ve been comfortable. I’m thinking that the leather will stretch out and soften up a bit as I wear them once the weather warms up.

It seem to be an overall great product. I only struggled with having the proper arch support and the fact that my foot is a little narrow. I felt like it bounced around a little more than I would like. I don’t think this brand is for me.

I bought the betula Mia very similar to these. I have a 7.5 med to narrow foot. The pair of betulas are 7.5 narrow and fit amazing, these fit a little too narrow and my foot looks swollen in them due to padding. I have skinny feet. The toe loop was very constricting that my toe was turning red. I returned these. If you have a narrow foot, try the regular width first or size up. I ended up buying the betulas again instead.

Finally decided to spring for a set of Birkenstocks to see what all the fuss is about. First of all, the arch support was terrific but the bottom was rock hard. I know these cork soles are supposed to eventually adjust to the contour of your feet, but Good Lord how long would that take?! In the meantime, I could see having aching feet. Got the 37 European size, which is what I would usually order from Ecco or other Euro brands (my feet are 6 1/2 US size), but the shoe was at least half a size too long. Would risk exchanging for a 36 but the main reason I am returning is that the hard lip that goes around the edge of the shoe where the toes lie was already banging up against my middle and ring toes and I don't have a particularly wide foot. Can't image that a small size would change that and might make it worse. Not a good choice for me personally.

Slightly too long for size. Great for wide foot. Bought these to wear while cooking in my tile floored kitchen. Have been wearing for about a week. Too early to tell about durability. Easy to slip in & out of, super comfortable, not bad looking, & no more tired, achy feet. Will likely try a second pair for wear outdoors.

I love the fit and the overall style but thought I was ordering leather no suede. Description could use improvement.

I think the shoes are cute but the leather strap around my toe is irritating.

These are my first official pair of Birkenstocks! I've admired them for years and finally took the plunge. I ordered the EVA/Arizona Essentials style Birkenstock a few months ago, but they do not compare to a traditional Birkenstock sandal. The Mayari's, (color: stone) fit me perfectly. I am a size 8 and ordered a size 39, I have average width feet and the regular width is perfect. I gave 4 stars for 'Overall' and 'Comfort' because I was expecting a soft sole and the sole is definitely not soft. I was instantly dissatisfied and wondered if they needed to be broken in. I wore them around the house for two days and realized they were amazing (I was comparing them to the 'squishiness' of the EVA/Arizona Birkenstock sandals and sure, they aren't as squishy and soft as the EVA sandals), but they fit amazing and have matched every outfit I've tried them with!

I had to return and order a size smaller than I thought. Fits pretty well. The fixed toe strap is tighter on one shoe than the other, I’m hoping it will wear in with time. I like the shoes overall.

These feel pretty narrow. I’m hoping they’ll stretch out a bit and get more comfortable over time.

Looks and feels like it’s going to be a winner but I would like a different color and need a smaller size.

They cute comfy and nice

I’ve always wanted a pair of Birkenstocks. They have really improved their styles and are known for comfort and support. This shoe is very attractive. Unfortunately, their sizing doesn’t work for me. This shoe was too long and too wide. Had to return.

The jury is still out on the toe strap… part of me wishes I’d sent them back, but walked outside and they got dirty. The footbed is fantastic and very comfortable, but every time I put them on they hurt on the great toe area. It gets better after a few minutes except when I’m walking on any incline or decline. Hopefully this will improve in time. They are very attractive.

I ordered the 9 - 9.5 Regular Stone Birkibuc. I normally wear an 8.5 W or 8.5 WW. I had seen on the Birkenstock website that the 2 widths they carried were actually listed as Regular/Wide or Medium/Narrow. That is the reason for the 1/2 size smaller, as you can see the strap holes are at there max width. The minus one star - the right sandal fits tight around the toe & I may have to add a hole to the strap but there is very little end to do so. Wish the straps were a tad bit longer. The length is a bit long at toes but I prefer it this way (I would rather ram my shoe into an object that I didn't see than my toe). Other than that, I love these sandals, I hope they hold up for my entire lifetime but the way the rest of the reviews are going it doesn't look good.

It's a beautiful shoe and fit well for length and width, except for one thing. The high sides on the inside of the shoes is rubbing on bone at inside base of ankle - very painful from the minute I put on the shoes. I wear a 12AAAA; these shoes would have been great if not for this problem. Sadly, I am returning them.

Mavari runs about 1/2 size large. I exchanged for the next size down, and it fit great. I love the color.

Ordered the 6/6.5 as I am usually a 6.5. Felt far too big and the arch in the wrong place. Went with the 5/5.5 instead, still feels a little off, but I know Birkenstock's are known for needing to be broken in.

I love the Mayari sandals, but for the 3rd time, I have received sandals that did not have a consistent sized toe loop. I have had to return them now three times for a new pair because the inconsistent toe loops were too tight. Super annoying. Quality control issues aside, the sandal is very comfortable, supportive, and stylish. I have a foot disorder in my right foot that causes me to have pain when I walk. These shoes are the only shoes that I own that give me almost no pain when I walk in them. This is due to the rigid cork which does wonders for me! Just wish Birkenstock would have better quality control... for $99 shoes, there shouldn't be this issue so many times. Knocked a star for this

Love the stone color. I have received a ton of compliments. These are my first pair of Birkenstocks. There is definitely a break-in period. I am about 2 weeks in and they are just about there. Happy with my purchase.

I was waiting for these beautiful sandals as soon as I tried them it hurt my toes. Too bad I was looking forward to wear them , had to returned them.

I love these but wish they came in narrow I will keep them they are very comfortable if a bit wide in toes
