These shoes look great right out of the box. I also recommend (and should have taken the recommendation of the other reviewer) that you get these one size smaller than you would normally. For example I generally wear a 7-7.5, which Birkenstock says is a 38. I had to return the 38 for a 37 because they were too big. Otherwise great shoe so far.

These shoes are so comfortable! While they are a little clunky, they are still cute and fashionable enough that I can wear them with a dress and not look totally ridiculous. It's amazing to find sandals that are cute, comfortable for walking, AND offer any sort of support, so if that's what you're looking for, you've found it! The metallic sheen is a pretty color, and it goes with lots of things. Bonus: I have bunions, and these sandals do not bother them at all!

I have owned Birk's for years but this is by far the best style ever. It hugs your feet, doesn't rub your toes, and looks good enough to wear daily.

I'm a 7 1/2-8. The 38 fit perfect. Always had love and confidence in Birkenstock. Comfortable, good fit and well made. You get what you pay for.

Love these Birkenstocks! They are so comfortable and cute. Zappos is my favorite place to buy shoes because of their wonderful customer service and fast shipping. I wear a 7/7.5 and size 37 (regular) fit me perfectly. I required a narrow in the Arizona Birks, but found that the regular Mayari fit great. Don't hesitate, these are wonderful shoes!

These have become my new favorite sandals. I used to slip on my flip flops in the morning but now I wear these. They look good with casual dresses, skirts, shorts and I always wear them to yoga. They are super comfortable, very supportive and really cute! I have them in black patent and onyx and love them both.

Wonderful shoe! I am usually a 6.5 and the size 6 fit me perfectly. It's easy to slip on and walk around in. I live in Seattle and rely on public transportation for commuting, and get good use out of them.

I absolutely love these Birkenstock sandals. This is my second pair. My first pair lasted be about seven years and finally the leather broke inside the shoe by my toe. I was so happy when they arrived - they are my Jesus shoes! I highly recommend them. This is a quality brand!

Comfy and cute for a Birk...I like that they give my foot a different look than traditional Birks and are super comfortable. Good for wearing with skirts or jeans.

I love these sandals. So comfortable and true Birkenstock - so durable! The straps give them a feminine look on my foot.

This is my first pair of Birkenstocks and I'm so happy with them! I was concerned that they were a little too big but then I read the little pamphlet thing that's attached to them and it shows you the movement of the foot and says that the extra little space at the front and end of the shoe is necessary for your foot to move comfortably. :-)

This sandal is very comfortable, and it's similar to a Papillo style that I've had for a long time. The long front strap isn't set as long on the foot as the Papillo, but the style of the sandal is very nice and comfortable, and I tend to get swelling in my feet from hypertension, and it's still roomy. Very happy with the purchase.

These sandals mix comfort with style, I love the patent leather which really makes these birks feel slightly fancier than their leather cousins. This is the second pair of this style I've owned - the first pair lasted me 6 years (although I had to get them resoled twice!). They really are my go to comfort sandal and I love them!

These are super comfortable almost from day one, though I have been wearing completely flat flip-flops for years so there was a little readjusting to the Birkenstock support, but nothing worth complaining about. They are so lovely on. I got the silver and I could not be happier with them! I usually wear a 9 or 9½ (even 10 in some flip-flops) but the 39 fit me perfectly. Hooray Zappos!

The Mayari sandals are my go-to shoes for everyday. The comfort can't be beat, and they look great. I usually wear a size 9, but because these run on the large side, I ordered a 39 (8-81/2), and the fit is perfect. Thank you Zappos, for your generous return policy - I had to return 2 pair before I got it right! I ended up with the Habana oiled leather. I tried the synthetic materials and the first pair had to go back because the material had a sparkle to it that I didn't care for. Then I tried the synthetic suede, and again, the look of the material just didn't work for me. The Mayari sandals are 5 star terrific!

Exactly what I was hoping for! I have very flat feet and constant aches in my feet, ankles, and heels. I got these for an upcoming vacation and knew I'd need a while to break them in. I also thought the Mayari were cuter/more versatile than the regular Arizona's. The golden brown is perfect for every day wear and goes with everything! I almost ordered a half size down but actually tried a different pair of Birks on on the store and found these to be true to size (I'm an 8.5 and ordered the 39). I also ordered narrow. I gave this 4 stars for comfort because the footbed is really hard, like it's been a month and it still hurts if I wear these for a full day. Also, for flat footers like me, the arch support is great but it tends to rub after long wear. I have an accessory navicular on the inside of my foot and it gets irritated.

I have to tell you that the Zappos Customer Service department folks are superior in their help, support and encouragement. They helped me with shipping back and forth several times until I found just the right size, style and material for my new Birkenstock Mayari sandals - three pairs! I had several pairs of Birkenstocks that I wore down to a frazzle, but they were still going; however, it was time for a spiffy new pair of shoes, and I am so glad that to have found Zappos to help me get it right - especially with the size. The shoes are very comfortable, and in my opinion, stylish as well. Try Zappos! Quality, comfort and honest to goodness caring customer service. They do what they say they will!

Prefect summer sandal. Fits true to size, as all Birkenstocks they fit wide but the straps on top of the foot help to make them as tight as you need. They also have great arch support.

I ordered these in narrow perfect fit! took a little getting used to. I hadn't worn Birkenstock in years now they are my GO-TO sandals highly recommend!

I love these sandals. I wear them all the time in the summer. I have bunions but the straps on this pair doesn't rub against them. I also have a somewhat high instep and the arch support on these are fabulous. I wear them for hours and my feet feel great in them. I usually wear a 7.5 and in these take a 38. Yes, they do take a little time to get used to, but once you wear them you'll want them in different styles. I also own the Arizona in white, which are funky-nerdy, but not ugly! I get compliments on those all the time. I worried that these would come off my feet but they don't. The only issue is you can't wear these at the beach. The footbed is not waterproof. I gotten caught in the rain with them a couple of times and they were fine.

I love all Birkenstocks, and Mayari is no exception. Great shoe, great support, my faves during the summer.

I think I need to return these sandals. My second toe is a good half inch longer than my big toe, so the toe bar does not hit the base of my toes in the right place. I am very disappointed.
