Well - I bought this in June and am just now making a review. I just had to come back and post comments. It is now October in KC and I am still wearing this Mayari! I ordered the Silver 40 (women's 9) Narrow (who knew Birks came in Narrow?!). Oh My! This is by far my most comfortable sandal this summer. First pair of Birks - I read so many reviews (last year I fell for the high reviews on the Frye Harness - those are still not fitting) -- but hit a home run with these Mayari! Even with my narrow feet - they stay on - the toe loop helps - I usually cannot wear a clog or slide of any kind - just walk right out of them. But this 9 Narrow in Silver is cute and fits like a glove! Thank you Birkenstock for the Narrow fit!

The Mayari are quite comfortable out of the box but I do recommend easing into wearing them for long periods of time. I wasn't sure if the toe loop would be bothersome but it's quite comfortable. I was debating on color as I'm usually a 'stick with black' sort of gal, but I'm glad I stepped outside of my comfort zone and went with the onyx. It's a nice gunmetal sort of gray that should go with nearly everything. I was very unsure of what to do about sizing as many of the reviews seem to indicate that you should order down a size and many say to order your true size. I am a solid 8.5 (39 in Dansko) and decided to just stick with 39 narrow. The 39s are an exact fit without much wiggle room so if you're 8.5 I would suggest 39 and if you tend to run towards 9, you might want the 40.

I've been wanting a sandal with more support than a flip flop, and bought these as a cute way to join the recent Birkenstock trend! I have a wide foot and typically wear a 6 1/2 - 7, so I was a little unsure of what size to order. Based on the reviews I first tried a 37, but they felt a little large and online fit resources suggested my heel should land towards the back of the shoe - if not, it's too big. Down to a 36 I went, and they fit perfectly!

I have four pairs of the "thong" style and am deeply in love with them. I thought I should I try a different style...I love them more! They are more comfortable (you don't feel the toe thing at all) and I think they look classier. I walk my dog many miles every day. I can't imagine traveling or city walking without Birkenstocks. This style seems to be 1/2" longer than the thong-style. But I still wear the same size.

I was going to wait until I'd had a chance to wear in my new pair of Mayaria's before writing my review, but it's only been 2 days and they're already so comfortable!! Out of the box, I loved them! I purchased the Mayaria's in Stone Birkibuc. I wasn't sure about the Burkibuc but I really loved the Stone color so I gave it a try. Let me tell you, it's super soft! LOVE! Before I purchased these, I tried to Gizeh style which I didn't like at all. I liked the style, in theory, but the hard plastic toe bar was really uncomfortable. These are a whole different story. Super soft around the toe and very comfortable. I have kind of a wide...ok, fat foot and was worried about the straps fitting. But, they fit great, my foot feels secure in the foot bed, plenty of arch support, and the straps aren't too tight. Very, very happy with this style and color and will probably buy more of this style in the future. If you're on the fence, I say go for it! You wont be disappointed! I can't wait to wear these all summer. :)

I love Birkies but they aren't the most beautiful sandal, mainly because of the bulky wide leather sides. This style is not like the rest, thin straps. Ridiculously comfortable, wore them all day from the moment I tried them on out of their shipping box.

LOVE! Got a small blister the first day, but after that healed no problem. These are very comfortable and so cool looking. I get compliments every time I wear them. And as always, Zappos rocks! Love, Suzi

Love the Mayari! Bought it in Mocha and in Black. No break-in required...comfortable for all day (8-10 hrs) wear immediately. Very feminine and one of my fav's.

So comfortable. I walk a lot in summer and these offer the perfect amount of support. My feet finally don't hurt.

I love these silver Birks! They are exactly what I hoped for & I wear them a lot with various summer outfits! I love that they are slightly more stylish than other Birkenstocks I've had in the past and I get compliments on these sandals all the time! I think women like that they look casual but can be pulled off as a tad dressier with the right summer dress or shorts. They stay on my feet well. I am very happy with this purchase!

Very comfortable and nice looking shoe. I had to return the first pair I ordered and zappos had the smaller size at my door the next day. Such a great company!

I love my Birks. My first pair. They are very comfortable. Took a day or two to get used to them. Everyone has commented on how nice they look. They like the blue color.

These are the most supportive shoes. My poor arch fallen feet are so happy when I wear these. In fact, they are about all it wear. I buy new ones every six months or so. They are also somewhat stylish; in a flat sort of way. I recommend them.

I bought the neutral stone version of this sandal after seeing my sister's very cute blue metallic pair. These Birks are comfortable from the first moment. I love 'em!

I love these! This is my first pair of Birkenstocks and I should have taken the plunge earlier. I put them on and took the dogs for a long walk and I had no pain, nor blisters and I have very wide feet.

These are my "go-to" shoes for the summer and I love them! I have a very high in-step, which makes some flat shoes uncomfortable. My Birkenstocks, however, have always felt great right out of the box. This style gets extra kudos for being adjustable in two places for an even better fit. I chose the golden brown and was pleasantly surprised at the little extra sass the gold sparkle gives. I will certainly be ordering the Mayari again!

I get flak for being a long-term Birkenstock sporting girl (got 1st pair in 8th grade and never stopped wearing the classic Arizona style for 15 years). However, this Mayari style is an awesome upgrade. They are totally classy and dress up the classic Arizona style immensely. Such a simple design twist and all the same comfort and amazingness. I love these shoes.

I wish Zappos sold everything I need because I love them! Order today, wear tomorrow. I usually wear a size 6 dress shoe and ordered these in the 5-51/2 and they fit beautifully. So comfortable and they are quite adorable! Thanks Zappos for being the best customer service business on the web!

I love this great casual summer shoe! It's so comfortable. I ended up getting a size below what I would normally get and they fit perfectly. The antique lace is a light pearly color and it is a great neutral. They will go with any of your casual clothes. I am a college student and these are amazing shoes to just throw on and walk to class.

These are my favorite shoes, period. If you've got large, wide feet like I do, you won't be disappointed with these. I'm about to order another pair simply because I need to get the other ones resoled and I don't want to be without my Birks for even a day!

Love these Birks! They provide comfort for my aching feet (I'm a runner) and they look stylish! I'm not sure why I ever stopped wearing Birkenstocks... but I'm back!

I have severe arthritis in the ball of my foot with no remaining cartilage. These sandals are the best shoes I have worn. The toe ridge and the way the straps don't put too much pressure anywhere have kept me walking. I have wide feet but get the Narrow size one size smaller than other Birkenstocks and they feel more like a regular shoe.

I have high arches and plantar fasciitis. These do not have enough arch support and they are killing my feet. Unfortunately, I have worn them too much to return.

Always my "go to" casual summer shoe. For two years I've tried to leave the house in other "fun" summer sandals but can't do it. Due to arthritis in my hips and knees I need comfort and support, yet at fifty three, I want to remain current and stylish. The patent leather Birkenstock fits the bill. I wear them everywhere - shopping, lunch with the girls, out with my husband and to the lake. They are darling with casual summer skirts, bermuda shorts and capri's adding comfort and support at the same time. I prefer "black patent" because it looks great with everything "summer". Along with a black patent leather "messenger style" handbag. Gives you a classic casual summer look. They are comfortable out of the box but trust me - they become "yummy" after a month of wear and get better and better in time. I'd say "best" if you break them in before a vacation. My foot is size nine with the width falling between medium and wide. Size 39 is a perfect fit. As always, Zappos customer service can't be beat. Seriously, if Zappos estimates next day delivery, you can bet the bank on it. Your order will be on the front porch the very next day.

Comfy and stylish...what more could you ask for? These Birks deliver, and no animals were killed in the process. I didn't realize these were not leather, and I almost sent them back (don't usually like to wear non-leather shoes), but they are so comfortable that I kept them. Despite what you might read online about the straps not stretching, they do stretch a bit. I've had to go one-hole shorter on both straps. You won't be sorry with these shoes!
