ordering a smaller size

I love my sandals! I have a thicker left foot than right and it’s nice that I can loosen the buckles for more or tighter space. They’re worth the money. I bought them because I have trouble with my back/tailbone at times. And thankfully I’ve been blessed with a shoe that doesn’t hurt, but helps my back not to ache after a lengthy time walking in them.

A little stiff the first wear, but after that that fit was perfect. Soooooo comfortable. These shoes are the first thing I put on after a long day. I was worried about the fit around my toe, but not a problem. Not restricted at all and I love the look!

This is my third pair of Mayari I have purchased in about 25 years. The second pair I even had re-soled. These are my everyday shoes, (I live in the South so I wear them a lot). Could not ask for better made or more comfortable pair of shoes. Love them! Love them!

Not only did I receive the pair the next day I found them to be very comfortable and stylish. I have the Gizeh but now would like to stick to MAYARI if I buy another color.

I've worn Birkenstocks for 25 years and I love them! The fit is always perfect. I wear these sandals because they are soooo comfortable.

Loved the shoe, but it was too big. I ordered a size up as the Birkenstock website fitter told me to, but it was too long in the heel. Love the ability to adjust the tightness though, that is a nice touch. I felt the thong in the toe was comfortable as well. Will be looking forward to adding the correct size to my collection!

Fits like my other pair of the same style, i like the color but wish it was a little darker

Beautiful! I've only ever had the classic Milano style, but I've always loved the comfort and fit of birkenstocks. The Mayari offer the same comfort and fit but are so cute! I love the narrower straps that feel much more feminine. I'm not sure how the toe strap will feel over time, I've only worn these around the house to try on as I may return for a smaller size. These did feel a little big, despite the fact that I rounded down as I'm between sizes. I'm between a 7.5 and 8 and ordered a 38, which feels slightly too big. I'm ordering the 37 to see if it's better. Thanks to zappos awesome return policy and customer service. These shipped super fast and came 2 days earlier than I expected! Thanks, zappos!

This my second pair of Mayari. My first pair I’ve had for about 5 years and they’re now just getting worn out. The only complaint I have is you do need to break them in but after breaking in they’re very comfortable. I am just recovering from ORIF ankle surgery and need a good supporting sandal. I feel these will work and love the style. I always get compliments when wearing them.

The shoes were great but I have extremely narrow feet and even in a narrow they wouldn’t work. I really wish they would have worked out!

This style, and the Florida, are my favorite Birkenstocks, but I find the Mayari a hair more comfortable. It also stays put better, for me. I really like the toe loop (did not expect to: was very skeptical.). Color- I just got the Stone color, which I find is an excellent goes-with-everything neutral. Mostly light grey but with a hint of a beige-ish color. Size- I have a wide forefoot, and wear 8 to 8.5 usually, depending on the shape of the shoe. I got the Mayari 38 regular width and it is perfect for me. Inner surface of the Birkibuc straps feels a bit like lightly brushed fleece, which feels great agains the foot. Love this sandal.

I really liked these the longer I wore them. The footbed conforms to your foot, and really fits well. They are stylish and good for walking all over. I’ve worn Birkenstock for over 20years and they don’t disappoint!

I absolutely love these sandals! I’m on my second pair, the first pair lasted me 2 years and probably would have lasted me longer had my puppy not gotten ahold of them. They’re so comfy and more stylish than the typical Birks.

I love these sandals! Very easy to break in. I usually wear orthotics but I find the support sufficient.

I’m in love, will never where another sandal again.

So comfortable and supportive, stylish enough to wear out with jeans or dresses etc. great for walking around the city in!!

This is my second pair of Birkenstocks. These are my favorite go-to-shoe, so comfy! I'm always glad when sandal weather arrives so I can wear my Birkenstocks! The Mayari is feminine and can be worn with just about anything. I wasn't sure I would be happy with the antique lace color as I was actually wanting white. But, I am pleased with this color and have received compliments already. The color is versatile. The fit is amazing. Love my birkies!

I am glad I read precious reviews about sizing! I ended up buying a size down from my typical shoe size and it was just right. These are my first Birks and I am very pleased with how they look and feel. I will definitely be buying more!

I was leery about spending so much money on sandals. Zappos was offering $25 off your order so I ordered my first pair of Birkenstocks. I have plantar fasciitis bad! After wearing these sandals, which really didn't take a long time to "break in", I'm in total love with them and will be definitely ordering another pair!!! As a teacher in a preschool I'm on my feet all day and these sandals are amazing!!

First off I have to give kudos to Zappos for providing exceptional customer service. I wasn’t happy with the quality of the first pair I got (they had excess glue and one toe loop was substantially bigger than the other) anyway...I call and do the exchange. Super nice lady on the phone told me they would be delivered the next day. They weren’t. Before I could even think to call Zappos to express my disappointment they had already sent me an email apologizing for the delay! (Seriously amazing service) Received my shoes the following day. Idk what all these reviews are about how they run big???? I’m glad I didn’t follow those recommendations and ordered my TRUE SIZE. I am a 9-9.5 and the 40 fit absolutely PERFECTLY!! If I went any smaller my toes and heels would be touching and/or hanging over the edges. I’m not going to say they’re super comfortable out of the box, but this is my first pair of Birks and I’m beginning the commitment to break them in. I sure hope everyone is right and it is worth it! They are really cute and different from your “standard” sandal styles. I splurged and ordered the oiled leather and I’m glad I did. I am very happy with my purchase and hope to get a lot of use out of these!!
