Don’t give up if they don’t feel super comfortable right out of the box. Google “breaking in your birks” and you’ll get tons of tips. It takes a few weeks of wearing them for the cork to mold to your feet, and for the leather to soften. If you stick it out, you’ll be rewarded with a shoe that will last you for years, with great support and comfort like none other!

Okay, so, the Mayari is now my favorite Birkenstock style, hands down. They fit my feet like a glove right out of the box, and I don't think a day has passed since they arrived that I haven't worn them at least part of the day. The fit is comfortable and much more secure-feeling (like a perfectly fit glove, as I said) than the other two Birk styles I have, which are "fine," but just don't stand out in terms of comfort the way these do. My foot slides back and forth more in the Arizona, and the Gizeh style, though I think it's a bit cuter than the Mayari style, isn't nearly as supportive and secure. Love it! I've developed chronic foot pain in the last year due to a bunion and achilles tendinitis, and I'm not kidding when I say that wearing the Mayari's seriously lets me forget all that. My feet feel normal and healthy again (when I'm wearing the shoes)! Super cool! Thank you so much, Birkenstock and Zappos!

These are the most comfortable and cute sandals! I own two pairs and will continue to buy. Last forever with hard wear. Did 40+ miles at Disney in a week and my feet never hurt once.

i love the more feminine style of the thinner straps. Birkenstocks are always incredibly comfy, and the same goes for these, but i don’t recommend wearing these for a full day if you have arch problems.

After trying 3 styles of Birkenstocks, the Mayari fits great! I really like the style to go with casual skirts and shorts. My first choice was to have leather straps, but the color I wanted and size I needed was only available in the mocha birkibuc. I am a little concerned that the straps will hold up as well as leather, but for the summer, the comfort and coolness of the synthetic will work great. I have a narrow to medium width foot, but the unisex narrow and women's regular widths were too big in the toes, and my toes did not sit in the footbed correctly. These were one of the only Birkenstock women's styles I could find available in medium and narrow widths. I would definitely recommend them for narrow feet that don't seem to be working with the other styles. I am not ready for a true "comfort" sandal, but had some neck pain this year and need to start thinking about wearing more supportive footwear. I am so excited that Birkenstocks are popular again and that I finally found a pair that works!!

I've been wearing Birkenstocks for over 40 years, and these are my favorites! I love the style and the way they fit my feet. Super cute and comfortable! I wear them to work, on walks and in the house...because I don't like to take them off! The Tabacco finish goes with everything!

Fits the same as all my Birks, about a size smaller (but in line with all other Birks). Love the style, and as always so comfortable!

Where have these shoes been my whole life! Love, love, love. I will not take them off until the snow flies! I have horrible, painful bunions. And my toes have become out of alignment, putting pressure on other toes and joints. These shoes hold that big toe over, without the SIZE of the normal thong size sandal. OMG, I am so relieved and comfortable. Then the material you do not have to break in. HEAVEN.

I have a long narrow foot, and find these Birks have excellent support and stability for action wear. Have numerous pairs of Mayaris, have had a couple pairs repaired at the local Birk's shoe hospital, due to continuous heavy wear, as I use them for exercise walking/jogging, and as golf shoes-- and have for years. I am concerned about the announcement of the "narrow-regular" fitting both--it doesn't, just means that if this is what Birkenstock is going to I won't be able to wear them. Not good news for anyone with a non-average size foot. Wishing that you had more colors, reds, blues; I bought the mocha color to try dyeing them red. It wasn't difficult, they are not bright red, but definitely a reddish brown. I will see how it works over time. It would be way easier if you just made colors in real Birks, and not the plastic, or near-Birks as they do not have the quality and fit of the real thing.

I think I've worn these sandals every day since they were delivered. Very comfortable and versatile with different outfits.

Love these! I am a ‘narrow’ 40 in my two Arizona birko-flor. I originally ordered a 40 in this Mayari, they were too big and so I exchanged them for a 39 and they fit perfectly.

My daughter loves these. Exactly as expected. Color and quality is great.

They weren’t comfortable at first but after I wore them a few times the felt a lot better. After a couple of weeks of wear they are extremely comfortable and I can walk for hours without my feet hurting.

So comfortable! The toe stretches if needed and the suede foot bed is so soft, feels great. I bought 2 colors!

Usually wear a 6.5. Sized down a from a 37 to 36 and they fit great!

This is a 2nd pair of Birkenstocks for my daughter's 15th birthday party. I bought her a pair of Birkenstocks last year (I wear them, too!) and she loves them! During the summer, it is all she wears. While they are kind of expensive for a teenager, I would much rather spend a little extra money now and save her foot trouble in the future. My daughter wears a size 11 and the 42 narrow fits her perfectly. What more can I say! High recommend.

I love my new sandals, but have to say, the sizing information is somewhat confusing and I ordered 3 pairs before getting the correct fit. The narrow width is said to be correct for narrow and medium (US widths of A or B) and the regular is said to be correct for wide feet. I have never bought wide shoes in my life, so ordered the narrow width which proved to be entirely too narrow. Regular was perfect. Many reviewers said to order a size smaller if you are between sizes. This is bad advice. If your heel is slammed back into the heel cup, you will end up with a giant callous as I did with my first pair of Birkenstocks many years ago. I know now those were too short. Birkenstock advises going to the next size LARGER if you are between sizes since the whole concept of the footbed is to allow your foot to spread out and move naturally. The most important concern is where the arch hits you. I wear an 8 1/2 and ended up with 39 regular. My feet are happy!
