I knew going in that my foot that is usually a woman’s 9.5 or 10 US sizing would take a 40 instead of 41. I went to a store near here and tried some on. They fit perfectly and I couldn’t be happier. Love, Love, Love Birkenstocks. I haven’t had a pair in a while and now I wonder why I haven’t.

?? I love these sandals! These Birks run large. Normally I wear a size 37, but I had to return them and order a size 36. They have awesome arch support and they’re cute too!

These are great and love that they’re super adjustable straps. I don’t normally like things between my toes, but you can reconfigure straps so they stay on without needing to rely on the “toe scrunch” maneuver sometimes needed to keep flip flop type shoes on. Great support for plantar fasciitis!

First pair of Birkenstocks. Hesitated for years. Sad I waited. I absolutely love these sandals. I always look for sandals with a heel strap, but the fit on these makes the back strap unnecessary. Again, instant Birkenstock fan, after years of avoiding too!

I love Birds and especially this particular style. I have worn them all over during my recent Scandanivian trip. I actually ordered the current pair as a back up!??

Worth the money!!!! These were my first pair of Birks and I now totally understand the hype! Before these I basically lived in my paper-thin flip flops, however these offer so much more support and traction for rainy summers! I am normally a size 8 and ordered a size 39 and they fit perfectly. Definitely worth the investment, especially if you normally live in flip flops like I do!

After 7 tries I am thrilled with this pair of sandals. My 11 foot is so grateful I didn’t give up! Arch support, adjustable straps and secure heel cup. CHECK! Disney World here I come!

Very comfortable and stylish!

Ok, I am not a Birkenstock kinda gal. Bought my first pair a few weeks ago and I love them. Very comfy and look better on my feet than I thought. Always good to invest in a decent pair of shoes that you know you will wear periodically. I will be wearing these as opposed to my paper thin flip flops from now on! Make my feet happy!

Great pair of sandals! Just might have to get another pair in another color!

These are my first ever pair of Birkenstock’s and I absolutely love them! I have never really been a fan of the basic “old school” style, but love they have different styles to choose from now. I was hesitant at first because of the price, but after wearing them one time, I totally see why! They are unbelievably comfortable! They are worth the money and from what I’ve heard other people say about them, they last a very long time. If you are on the fence like I was, go for it! Love, love them!

I wear a size 8.5/9. I ordered the 39 Medium width. I think the 40 would have been too floppy. The 39 is perfect-not much room in the length. I haven’t worn Birks since the 90s, and I am happy I tried them again.

I am so glad that I finally ordered a pair! Comfortable right out of the box! I love the style!

I have to be very selective about what shoes I wear because of my arches and my feet like these Birks! I like the ability to adjust the straps so they don't "flop" when I walk. This style also looks nice when I wear causual dresses. I will be purchasing another color for sure!

Looking for solid sandals that would support feet. Definite upgrade from flimsy flip flops. Love the silver. Super comfortable, no breaking period.

I love these sandals, had 2 pair of birko-flor and with both the toe strap broke after a year or so... so this time ordered the leather and could not be happier. I think the leather is a good choice as relates to standing up to wear and tear. They are very comfortable and dressy enough to wear to work. Cannot say enough about Birkenstock sandals. I live in various styles all spring summer and fall. Would also like to say thanks to Zappos for the speedy delivery and great packaging... thanks!

I'm usually a 38, but had tried on a 38 that I ordered elsewhere that seemed really big and more of a slate color. I went ahead and ordered the 37- for reference I'm usually a 8 in boots, etc., and a 7.5 in flats and things. I have another pair of Birkenstocks in 38 so I feel these ran big. I'm worn them a few times, and am beginning to break them in for that wonderful Birkenstock fit. The toe strap initially looked and felt big and kind of uncomfortable, but this is already feeling better and no blisters or hot spots thus far. This is my first day wearing them all day, fingers crossed! I like the black, I think the straps are cute and a little more dressy than Birks usually look. I don't love the color of the buckles. While I usually prefer to buy used, etc., feels good to get Birks new and to let them mold to my particular feet and gait. A great purchase I hope to wear all over Spain this summer!

Everything the other reviewers have said about these shoes is true. They are incredibly supportive (I bought them to help me get through a bout of plantar fasciitis), and not nearly as hideous as other Birks. The only reason I'm chiming in is that I want to emphasize that the "narrow" here would be a medium or even a wide in other brands. I'm a pretty consistent 7.5W or 7.5C in Cole Haan, and an 8 in La Canadienne. These sandals fit me perfectly (with some extra space front and back, and buckled in the middle of each strap); I don't know how someone with truly narrow feet could wear them. I also have trouble imagining who can wear the regular width shoes! You'd have to be an E width to need them.

Super comfortable and cute!

I bought these for my daughter to wear to Spain. She wore them all day the first day and absolutely loved them. Her feet tend to ache after walking, so it is remarkable that her feet did not hurt at all the first day wearing these shoes.

These are my second pair of Birks and I'm so glad I tried this style... they look and feel great. They are officially my favorite shoe.

I had heard that Birks took a while to break in and was expecting them to be uncomfortable at first but this was not the case! They were comfy right away and I have worn them everyday since they arrived. I was also worried about the leather being stiff/rubbing but I have had no issues and no blisters or sore spots. The leather seemed to soften very quickly and they have exceeded my expectations!
