Still love these shoes after all these years. Bought my first pair at Maxfield Blue on Little Santa Monica Blvd. in L.A. in 1973 I think. If you are a 7.5 like me, get the 7. I did need a little break in time...like an hour or two a day for about a week, but that's just me. I've been wearing flats or flip flops for years...now they are fine for hours of wear. As usual, Zappos rocks with shipping fast.

These sandals run true to size, but the leather is very hard. It takes a few wearings to break them in, but once they are broken in they will quickly become your favorite shoes.

I'm petite so I like a heel and I also have bunions :-( The Kork-Ease Avas have been my shoe salvation for the summer! i wear them all day, walk tons and they look great with everything. When they were new, I did have my shoemaker stretch out the front straps (near the bunion area) they've been good to go ever since. Highly recommend these. I also like the Kork-Ease Bettes.

I bought these shoes because I am recovering from a broken foot and needed a stable shoe that was still little cute. These shoes are really comfortable and worth the price. I love the retro look.

Love it when everyone says, You're wearing Korkease! Product comfy, (padded sole), gets more comfy with wear. I am a true 8 and they fit perfectly. And, they make me tall in shorts!

I've been looking for a platform sandal that didn't have too high a heel or too narrow heel and these are perfect. They are very comfortable. My only complaint is that I wish they came in in 1/2 sizes. I usually wear a 7 1/2 so I ordered these in an 8. They are comfortable but it seems like they are stretching a little bit now and they are getting too loose. I'm sure a 7 1/2 would have fit better. Oh well, I still love them!

These are the first pair of Kork-Ease that I've purchased and I will be ordering another pair. They are very comfortable and stylish!

These shoes are comfortable and more stylish than the picture may convey. There's one little spot that is tight against my big toe, but it doesn't hurt and even after wearing them and walking in them for hours, my toe was fine. I'm impressed.

Could not have ordered a better shoe. I am 5'10, pointy heels are a nightmare for me. This shoe gave me a nice long leg look but with a hip Bohemian vibe. Perfect for summer. So comfy to wear and walk in for hours. Sizing is also spot on.

So comfortable. Love this shoe. Can wear them with anything!

I received these shoes today and wore them right away. They felt absolutely fabulous. Usually I'm a flats kind of girl, but these felt very comfortable, wide enough so I don't lose my balance and true to its size. I highly recommend.

Bought these as a replacement for shoes that I had worn out and they are perfect! I was worried they would look clunky once I got them in person but the wedge is suede and gives them a softer look.

I bought this shoe in bronze and I absolutely love them. Took a few days to break in, now they are soft, supportive, and comfortable. Don't even mind the ankle strap because its so soft.

Well-made and comfortable, true-to-size, and retro -- what more could you ask of a sandal?

These are the perfect shoes for summer. Although I did have to break them in a bit, I can now wear on short walks. I would not wear these for all day outings with lots of walking. But I love the style and thought they were very flattering. My husband, who never notices shoes, told me they made my legs look great. Highly recommend these shoes for petite ladies- they'll make you taller while being proportionate and not clunky. I will definitely buy more kork-ease shoes.

Very comfortable shoe for the height of it! Have worn them all day with no problem but chafing from the strap around the ankle. However, after broken in they gave me no problem. So neutral and easy to dress up or down.

Love this shoe! It reminds me of a pair I had in 1978! My feet are narrow and this runs quite regular, so I gave them to my daughter who loved them as much as me. She says they are very comfortable except for a little blistery on the top of her toes while getting used to them. We normally wear an 8 1/2, but the 8 works great. The 9 was a little too long.

I love these wedges! Back in the day we called them Buffalo's! I ordered a 7 but usually wear a 7.5. They are a little snug around my toes but I know from experience that they will stretch. I ordered an 8 also, but they were too big. The cork design is great and goes with everything. As soon as the Natural Vachetta is available in a 7, I will make the purchase!

I have been searching for these sandals for years and finally found them. Used to wear them as a kid in the 70's. My mother had the high ones and I had the low ones. We called them Buffalo Sandals. Anyway I originally ordered the 9 which is my normal size but they were too tight in the width. Wish they had a wide width so I returned and ordered the 10 and they fit perfectly, they don't look too big at all. 9.5 wide would have been perfect but I'm thrilled with the 10 regular. So comfortable.

Loved these shoes in the 70s and love them now! Can't wait until warm weather to wear them. I hate that they don't have half sizes, I am pretty much a 7.5 and I ordered a 7 and as soon as I took them out of the box I knew that they looked tiny. They were tight and short (my foot is on the narrow side too). Ordered the 8 and they fit, but are quite a bit bigger than the 7. 7.5 would have been perfect. I am returning the 7 and keeping the 8! Love them and Zappos, lightning fast delivery, next day upgrades all of the time!

Women of a certain age will recall these beauties from our wilder years. I was thrilled to see them return, and snatched up the style that most closely matched my earlier pair. Truth be told, in my former life, I took these platforms to the cobbler and had him add another six inches to the base, wrapped in suede to math the original. I did not try that this time! Once they arrived, I was transported back in time, which turned out to be both good and bad. The good was a memory of the slightly clog-ish gait that the shoe produces. I loved it! The bad was that the upper leather is really stiff. Here is where maturity pays off. I took a hair dryer to the uppers to warm the leather where I spent about five minutes in each position and then manipulated the leather for another three minutes in my hands. They were instantly broken in.

I'm slightly bigger than a 7 but not a full 7.5, so I ordered a 7. They seemed a little tight and a little short. However, I think in the right size they would be very comfortable and they are certainly cute. What concerns me is that either Kork-Ease is making two versions of the same shoe, or they are changing over their production, and not for the better. The "buff leather" versions of their shoes seem to be made in Brazil, with leather insoles. The "vacchetta leather" versions are made in China with man-made insoles, but no price difference.
