Running in a skirt is great. This one has long enough compression shorts to protect against chafing (although I got a little on a long run), and the skirt is flattering. Like other reviewers, I find the waist a bit loose, even though this is my "big" hard-to-fit area. I tried a small and it was too small. I am 5'3" and about 145. I would benefit from a slightly higher rise in the waist, also surprising because I am pretty short-waisted. I wouldn't only wear a longish shirt with this skirt. The pockets on the shorts are great. My iPod Nano fits very well, and I don't notice it at all when I'm running -- much better than wearing it on an arm band, which is what I used to do.

I want to amend my July, 2010 review just a little. While I still love the skirt and still run in it and the shorties continue to stay in place, I have one complaint. The seaming where the side slits are puckers on multiple washings, so it doesn't lay as cute anymore. Otherwise, well worth the money.

This is one of the best running skirts ever. I am a big fan of Skirt Sports in general, but I love this skirt. Reason being, the shorts underneath are longer, they don't ride up and are so comfortable. I wear this skort for both working out and chasing after my kids. Its the perfect skort for anyone with an active lifestyle.

Skirt Sports says that this color runs a little small in the short, and they are not kidding. I love SS and have several, but you probably need a size up in this red color. I usually wear SM but had to return for the MD. Warning: the size up makes the skirt part fit completely differently, but still looks good. Plus, I PR'd in 2 marathons wearing it!

Love this skirt! It's comfortable and the shorts underneath are long enough to be modest and they stay down during the entire workout. I wear it running. I wear size L in this, and in pants, I'd be a 10 or 12. The only thing I wish is that it was a inch or so shorter, but I am only 5'1" so it's probably perfect on taller women! It's worth the money...buy it!

I absolutely love this! this. I was hesitant for fear of the shorts riding up and chafing. They do not. I wish Zappos carried more colors like the Skirt Sports website. Love Zappos for the service and their free and fast shipping. I am 5'6", 130 pounds, wear a size 4 to 6 in most bottoms. I ordered a size small.

I love the GymGirl Ultra skirt! I have five of them in different colors and prints and just can't get enough of them. They are comfortable, flattering, and most importantly, the under-shorts don't ride up. I have tried many other running skirts and they all ride up when I run. These do not! It's like a breath of fresh air. I also love the pockets on the shorties so I can stash my keys, gels, and iPhone (and the sonic music port makes it super easy to listen to music while I run). Buy this skirt - you won't be sorry!

This skirt is very cute,the perfect length (not too short), good material and well sewn. However it fits poorly. The waist is disproportionally large and it is low waisted. If you have curves, it might not fit you well. If your belly is your trouble spot, try it.

I was looking for a sporty skort that wouldn't look too sporty. The print makes it more "dressy." Even 2 XS is pretty baggy though, so I'd advise to order smaller size than you usually do.

I can't get enough of this little number. The fit is sublime and the details rock. And I love feeling like a girl when I'm on my morning run! I strongly recommend this skirt for any athletic endeavor!

Love this fun skirt! Bike, run, walk, or shop in it. I have had several girls stop me and ask where to order it! It washes well and hold its shape. It is even flattering in a large size! Order one, and then you may want to order 4 more!

Love this skirt. A little to short for shopping but great for the gym and walking. Washes great, hang to dry. Easy on, easy off.

Love this style! Shorts are long enough to prevent any chafing, and the pockets are so useful and well-placed. This is my second Gym Girl Ultra skort. I'm usually one to avoid drawing attention to my bottom half, but the zebra print is very cute and flattering. And, as always, Zappos shipping rocks! The skirt arrived 12 hours after I ordered it.

This skirt has quickly become my go-to running skirt this summer. The shorts stay put, and are long enough to prevent any chafing issues. I love the two pockets - one for my key, the other with the hole for my iPod ear phones. Very comfortable, well worth the price.

This is a great and functional skirt for running. The pocket/grommet for your iPhone and headphones is a really nice touch. The shorts do stay put as others have said before me, and they are made of a mesh fabric that is surprisingly comfortable. The length is short enough to be flattering and comfortable while running, and long enough that you can run errands after you workout and not feel overexposed. I bought 5 skorts from Zappos and kept this one. The only other running skort I like as much as this one is one I purchased from Lululemon.

I bought this skort for golf. I hate how frumpy most golf clothes look and this skort is fun and comfortable. There are pockets in the shorts underneath for extra balls.

I ordered this skirt about 6 weeks ago. I use it for casual running. I routinely run 5Ks, I'm 5'3", 130lbs, usually a size 6. I ordered a medium and it's maybe a touch big, but I have no complaints about how it has worn or looks. No ride up, great coverage, looks super cute, Skirtsports has thought of everything. Love it, buying a second one now in a fun color.

I ordered this skirt in black and in white. I am using it as a tennis skirt because I could not find a real tennis skirt that was not super short. The shorts do not ride up at all and the skirts are very cute. I would definitely recommend these for any athletic endeavors. The only issue I have had is that it's hard to get the tennis ball secured in the shorts but since it's not a tennis skirt I can't fault them for that! It has nice pockets where you can put money or your phone.

This is a great run skirt. It doesn't ride up at all. The only thing I'd change is the pockets. This skirt would be even better with a zip pocket in the back.

I own about 5 running skirts with no luck. I found this one and love it! This skirt does not ride up. Stays right where it needs to be. This is my new race day skirt! True to size. I'm a size 6 and a medium fits perfect.

This is a great skirt for me. It's a little longer than some and I like the extra coverage. Extremely comfortable playing tennis. Like the ball pockets. Shorts definitely do not ride up. Looks cute as well.

The skirt's slit on this skirt goes higher than the slit on the capri skirt, but it was still flattering nonetheless. The pockets are slightly less sturdy than those on the capris (the material is thinner, I'm sure for warm weather reasons). I had a credit card, pepper spray and a house key stuffed in the left pocket, and the credit card would start to slip out as I ran. The shorts on these did not ride up at all on me - chafing problem solved! I love this skirt and will keep using it for my daily runs.
