If you have to wear rain boots, these are the ones to go with! I got the short ones because I'm 5'4" so the normal height is way too tall. These are more proper proportions for my height. They hit about halfway up my shin/ lower calf. I don't wear special "boot socks" with them, but they do rub at your calf if you don't tuck pants in or wear boot socks. I usually just wear ski socks or tuck my pants in. There is no insulation in these boots, so your feet can get cold sometimes. To help the temperature, I bought insoles for the boot, which really helps keep my feet warm, and give me more comfort and support for my feet in the boots. These are very functional boots. I walk my dog all the time through mucky, muddy fields, and these keep my feet and pants dry. The red color is so cute too.

These were a gift for my daughter with special needs. The classic tall boots do not fit. The short boots fit great and are easy for her to put on herself. Beautiful color!

Usual excellent Hunter quality... I only returned them because I decided to go with a different color boot/sock combo. The bright pink is a nice color; was looking for the pink glitter (long sold out) but it was a nice alternative. The delivery, service, ease of return and selection from Zappos was excellent as always.

We bought these Original Short Boots in Dark Slate as a gift for our granddaughter. They were out of stock of this color last January so we decided to try again. So glad that we did because they are simply perfect in all respects. As an added gift, the Hunter short socks in the same slate color are darling.

I'm very happy with these boots, I've been on the hunt for a good pair of rain boots and was happy to find these at a discounted price. I usually wear a size 10 and based on other reviews I ordered a 10. They fit fine, although I think a 10.5 would've been just right (if that size is even an option, I'm not sure) they don't squeeze my feet or anything, but I would like just a little extra room to wear thicker socks. Overall they are great, stylish boots that keep my feet dry!

The fit is very true to size, I was worried as most of other reviews state they run big! I normally ware size 7.5-8, I ordered the size 8 and they fit perfect with thicker socks. Loveeee. These are my second pair of short gloss hunters. My first pair I purchased in 2012 and literally had to get rid of them a few months ago because of a leak in one of the boots. Super cute and reliable! Definitely need long socks or jeans/leggings so the boot won't rub against your skin. I am typically a size 7.5. I always order the 7 in hunters opposed to sizing up to an 8. The 7 fits perfectly, I even have enough space for thick socks on the cooler days.

Love these boots! I need a size up to accommodate my wide feet with thick socks, and my wide calfs and they work perfectly.

I am in love with these rain boots. They are the only rain boot I will buy. I have issues with balance, so I get dizzy if I have to bend over to put on boots. You can just step into these and just as easily step out. No bending over required! Plus they are short enough to fit my large calves, without looking too short. This has been an issue with other rain boots, and rain boots don't stretch! These are also super cute due to their glossy sheen. What lady doesn't need a little extra gloss in her life? Am I right or am I right, ladies?

I have wide feet so I tried these on in a department store before buying so I knew they would work out great. Plus I saved $40 by ordering from Zappos, didn't have to fret about color and size, and Zappos delivered in 1 day, just in time for our first messy snow/sleet/rain storm in the northeast. I can't quite figure out how to make the decorative buckle work but I love them anyway.

Love these boots! I had tall ones in black they were too much boot! These are the perfect! The glossy pink is beautiful... lots of compliments!

I LOVE the Military Red, it’s more of a dark, brick red so not as bright (cherry) as they appear. They will go with everything, pair them with the boot socks, you’ll never take them off! Definitely a timeless staple that I’ll wear for years to come.

LOVE! I hesitated over spending so much on rain boots, but I LOVE these! They are much easier to get on and off than a cheaper pair I own, probably because there is more room in the calf area in the Hunter boots. I got them to muck about in the yard with the dogs when it rains, and needed a better quality boot for that. I got the green color because they were the least expensive color, and it’s fantastic. I wore these to a festival and walked a good 2 - 3 miles in them, and although they are totally flat (no arch support), I was fine (and with dry feet). Yay Hunter!
