This shoe is not comfortable at all. I don't see how come the average is 5 stars.

Great casual shoe. Got many compliments from people while wearing them out. While they are comfortable, I wouldn't recommend wearing them if you plan on walking long distances. I have high arches and while I wasn't in any pain from these shoes, they offer no real arch support. All and all I would recommend for the price.

I have had too many pairs of this shoe -- perfect summertime kicks due to the absorbent foam insole that allows you to roam around with no socks needed (you can wash the footbed as well, which you will need to). Fits true to size and has a very casual look for a night out or a day on the beach. Surf's up.

Some of my favorite shoes. I always buy these shoes on Zappos because they are an awesome fit. Great casual wear. The insoles can be removed and replaced with ease. Also makes the shoe very easy to wash, just take the insole out and toss together in the washer. Now I have these in many different materials, for example: canvas, leather, cord. By far the leather last the longest with everyday use. Highly recommend this shoe.

My 17 year old loves these. I love the free shipping and handling Zappos offers. These can be washed right in the washing machine too. Just let air dry.

Ive been buying the same shoes for two years now just different colors and there's a reason for that, these shoes are incredibly comfortable, sizing may be a bit off, if you fit a 10 but they are all out, get a 9.5 they are the exact same fit, I've tried both.

Perfect summer shoe. Nice clean style. Comfortable enough to wear without socks. It's a flat bottom shoe so there isn't much "arch support" but the padded sole provides plenty of cushioning.

Great shoe for shorts or semi dressy. Comfortable light weight, mid cut (not too low or high), great fit. Hoping they'll have another shoe, glue coming up on this one!

Great Shoe! Very comfortable even on longer walks. Of course its not a walking shoe, but going from beach to street there is no discomfort. Good fit, great style. Highly recommend.

The shoe is exactly what we ordered and they fit perfectly. There was an issue on the billing side (totally my fault), but their customer service dept went above and beyond the call of duty to satisfy this customer. The shoes were delivered on time at a price you can't beat. Good job, Zappos!

Great once you get them on but they are very shallow so you kind of have to squeeze your foot in and then pull the heel around. Love the style!

Vulcs are some of the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. I wear them to bike, commute, casually, and even for some formal occasions! I like the style, and the fact that they're made to wear without socks! My only complaint is that I can wear them out completely within a year, but with this price, I have already bought 4 in total over the past few years.

Best Summer Shoe ever invented. I have 2 pairs and I love these shoes. No socks required. The insoles are rubber like a flip-flop and easy to take out for cleaning. If the insole is getting a little "stinky," put it in the washer, comes out brand new. Now I only wear flip-flops at the beach, where they belong.

I can't tell if my feet or getting bigger or if these shoes are getting smaller. I had an old pair of Rata's for 7 years and they were stretched out but still snug. When time to get a new pair I got a half size larger and still found it to be too tight.

This shoe is perfect for the person that's laid back and needs a pair of comfortable shoes they can just throw on and not worry about getting them messed up. The main reason I like this shoe is because I NEVER need to tie them. The removable soles in them are extremely comfortable and can be cleaned very easily. The only real problem I had with the Rata Vulcs is that they don't have that good of ventilation. If you decide not to wear socks with these shoes on your feet will smell horrid after a couple hours of wear, But overall this shoe is great and I would definitely purchase another pair in the future!

These are the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. I ride my bike in them, have sloshed in the river, rode in the rain. They have survived all my hoodrat adventures and still look great. They do stretch a bit so I suggest getting the smallest size possible without cramping your toes. Other than that great shoes. Buy and enjoy.

Love these shoes. I usually go for slip on casual shoes but these are great. Very comfortable and descent support. Haven't had vans in a while (I've had a few pairs of sanuk) and really dig these. I wear a 12 and these fit perfect.

Great casual shoes. They won't last forever because they are canvas and a vulc sole but comfy and relaxing.

I own 3 pairs of these in different colorways--definitely a summer/spring beach kinda shoe. Keep in mind these come from the Surf-line from Vans, so of course you shouldn't use these for skating but these are really great off the beach, walking around, or just chillin' in. These also have removable footbeds so feel free to add your own if you choose. I will say one thing though, since these are from the surf-line, the material is not as thick or sturdy as the shoes from the casual and/or skate-line (Ex. you can flatten the shoe flat, that's how lightweight, design of the shoe is). Considering all this, these were probably meant to wear without any socks, but with them is just fine. Best beach shoee hands down. Plus looks great in shorts and cuffed jeans!

Love this shoe. I have never owned this style of shoe before but they look good with jeans and can be worn casually with a collared shirt. They are little hard to get on your foot being that the shoe is kind of form fitting but I believe this is simply how this shoe is tailored for the foot.

Overall this is a great shoe. If you want a nice style with comfort then this shoe is exactly for you. If you wore Vans in the past you would know they are wider than Nike or Adidas.
