Shoe feels like a sneaker but is more versatile. It is very breathable due to upper mesh composition. It is stylish enough to wear where sneakers would be inappropriate.

Generally happy with purchase. Arrived very quickly. Fits well and accommodated my Superfeet inserts. Only problem was the top strap seems to be tighter than I'd like but hope that will expand as the shoe breaks in. Due to this, the velcro barely catches. Don't order a size smaller.

There was no break-in period required for these shoes. They are a great lightweight, breathable, and durable traveling shoe. During 10 days in Morocco which had me walking an average of 6 miles a day in 120 degree weather these shoes survived everything from maneuvering through crowded paved streets to hiking up rocky mountains and sandy dunes. And now I spend about 8 hours a day on my feet in them for work. Totally worth every penny.

Good description of the shoes which fit perfectly. The shoes were described well, the website was easy to use. Free delivery was provided and speedy service was given from a real person on the phone. What could be better!

I wore these shoes for 10 days straight while I walked around Italy for 12 hours a day. They were absolutely fantastic! Easy to slip on and off and mesh allows ventilation when it's hot outside (also if your feet get wet the shoes will just drain). I wore these without socks and they were comfortable (I wore them for a week before my trip to break in the mesh and break in the heels). These shoes saved my feet from the perils of Italian cobblestone streets!

Very comfortable shoe! I have walked several miles in these with no discomfort. Like that the liners are removable. Find the mesh parts a bit scratchy on bare feet, but they get the most grip when you're wearing socks anyway. Had to re-order a 1/2 size down and even then have to pull them tight and have plenty of room. When pulled tight, the little clips on the end of the velcro bang together which is annoying but doesn't limit the functionality.

I bought these shoes for a trip to Asia. It took two days of wearing them with socks to break them in and they were wonderful in the rainy/muddy conditions that we experienced. Very comfortable for long hikes and you can wash the liner if it gets too dirty. I am a Merrell believer now after using these shoes and their Siren Ginger sandals for our month long trip. They are very comfortable and great for summer wear.

These are very stylish for this type of shoe with a trimmer sleeker look than most shoes of this type have. They are comfortable walking shoes as sold, but with my orthotics, which fit nicely in them, they are superb. The straps do barely make it across my very high instep but if a high instep is not a problem for you, they will fit great.

I really like these shoes very much, and they are a style that looks nice as well. I have plenty of room for my orthotics, and still not tight afterward. The only thing that some people may not like is that the strap that goes over the foot to the clasp is rather roomy. Not a snug fit with some gaps. No problem for me, and it's comfortable. I would recommend them.

Great shoes with lots of support and comfort. I ordered 1\/2 size down as other reviews said and they fit perfectly. My only complaint is that the velcro strap to tighten comes on the inside of the shoe, so as I walk the 2 ends sometimes hit. Somewhat distracting, otherwise a very good shoe.

Cute wore around Disney World gave me the option to ride wet and dry rides without having to worry about my feet hurting once my shoee got wet like normal sneakers or althetic shoes do!

These are cute and sturdy and ever so comfortable - like Merrells always are. However, the smallest size they have available is size 6. Why do you leave out all your customers that wear smaller sizes? I normally wear a 5.5 but I thought I would try it. Nope, doesn't fit - it's too big. C'mon Zappos. Where is your "we fit everyone" mantra? I'm having this same trouble in many of your Merrells. Maybe you need to order more of the smaller sizes so you don't sell out so quickly?

I use these shoes for rafting and fishing -- great shoes! It is hard to get the sand out of them, but I think that's true with any shoe! They're slip resistant... mostly.

Stylish and comfortable. I like to put the clog type toe sox on with these. Great for walking. Comfortable for me with a new knee replacement. Plan to take on a cruise to use on board and on shore excursions. I am ready rain or shine with these shoes.

I ordered a few different style of hybrid shoe to find the perfect one to work in wet or dry conditions for some rain forest trekking I'm planning in Costa Rica. This shoe was perfect! With the help of the adjustable straps it hugs my foot perfectly. The design will make my short wet hikes much easier. Unlike the other shoes I tried (Keens and Tevas) this one covers the bulk of my foot with a breathable and quick-dry material, so I won't have to worry about stuff working its way in. Also, I'll most certainly be using these beyond the rain forest because they are adorable. Much less conspicuous of a water shoe than the others I tried.

These shoes are great! They fit well and are really comfortable and cool. I bought them for the beach, but they are also good for rainy days. They dry quickly. The buckles are a little hard to maneuver, but by loosening the velcro I can easily slide them on and off without having to use the buckles.

Cute shoe and versatile, but did not work for me. Shoe would not tighten enough for me. I am a 9.5 N to Med. Wish it came in N, I would order all the colors. Bonus-removable insole for orthotics.

Love these shoes. I normally wear an 8 1\/2 but the 8 fit me better in this shoe. The return process was so simple and I got the smaller size right away. I will keep shopping Zappos because they have the best service. Kinda wish they could teach some of the other companies out there!

Bought these shoes for my upcoming trip to Europe. Needed an athletic shoe for walking that doesn't lace up (claustrophobic feet) can be taken off and on quickly (airport security), and can be loosened and adjusted easily for tired feet. The fact that they are water-friendly will be a big plus in rainy London. I would add that in addition to all this, they have a mesh insert in the toes and sides for ventilation, round toe design provides space for toe room, can be worn with or without socks, sole has really good traction in case of wet sidewalks or hiking in dirt or sand. Great arch support, very true to size and cute too! Zappos delivery never ceases to amaze me! Ordered on Friday, delivered the next day. How do they do that? Thanks!

I purchased this shoe in order to have a more stylish sneaker that is easy to get off and on. It has the additional benefit of being able to get wet and drying quickly. This came in handy at our recent visit to Disney as we were caught in a drenching Florida rain. My feet never felt wet and the sneakers dried out quickly. They are very comfortable although not as cushiony as a running type of sneaker. I love them and received numerous compliments the first time I wore them. Great summer shoe.

Love these! I bought these to play golf in. I hate golf shoes and am always looking for something cool, waterproof, and comfy with lots of support so I don’t fall out of them when I swing. This is it! Thinking of ordering the green. Very true to size and no issues right out of the box for the first 18.

I love the look and feel of these shoes except they do not work for someone with a very high instep. The strap doesn't adjust enough to accommodate my instep, even though the fit everywhere else. I've got to send them back.

Took this shoe to Kauai and it was great. It does run a bit big, so I ordered a half size down and it worked out well. I do have some trouble getting it tight enough around my ankle, but there\'s enough support elsewhere. Great traction.

This is a great shoe. It's comfortable out of box. only wished the top strap had elastic, easier to get on and off.
