Versatile and flattering! This dress is fabulous! I can wear running errands, to the beach or park with my kids, or it can be dressed up! I have it in the blue and black. I wear the little foam bathing suit shaping pads in lieu of a bra - these make me feel a bit more support. This is definitely my summer "go to" outfit!

I love this dress. I have two of the morning glory dresses, which I bought quite awhile ago. It is so comfortable to wear in hot weather. My opinion is that the fit runs a little large, but I'm seeing that other reviews say the opposite, so maybe they've adjusted the fit? I actually have the dress in small and medium. The medium is loose around my waist, but still flattering. I did have to hem it as the original length was not flattering on me (I'm short). My only other critique is that I think it's hard to wear a cardigan over it, as you have a little lump from the knot closure in back.

My perfect dress. Period. I was looking for a new black dress that could dress up and down so that I could wear it to an upcoming wedding and then get some use out of it in the summer. This dress does it all. The halter style is very flattering and the extra tie in the back gives it a little style and lets you cinch up the bust a bit. A little extra support never hurt anyone, you know. The hem falls just below the knee, which is perfect for my scarred soccer knees. The cut is cute - kinda flirty - with a nice A-line drape. I found the waistline to be perfect - not too grabby. The fabric is a tad shiny, like a swimsuit might be, which I was sort of worried about since I am wearing it to a wedding, but with a pair of antique silver heels, it just looks dressy - not pool-ish. As far as the Patagonia logo on the back, I hardly care. If you're really opposed to it but love the dress, I'd suggest pinning a cute brooch over it. I thought I might do that until I decided that I like that everyone else will be wearing uncomfortable wedding type clothes and I'll have this super cute and very comfortable Patagonia dress to enjoy. Then I'll spend the summer wearing it with flip flops over my bikini. LOVE IT.

Cute and comfortable - I needed a dress for my friends casual outdoor wedding and I am very happy with my choice. It’s just dressy enough to be appropriate, but still comfortable enough to dance and eat in. The halter does not pull on my neck like others I have worn and the fabric is not too clingy around the mid section so I can sit down and relax without worrying about the dreaded stomach roll.

Oh the Glory! This dress is SOO comfortable. SOO Flattering. I am a tall, rather well endowed woman...this dress is supportive, and comfy. Wear it with flip flops or wear it with diamonds and heels. You'll not regret this purchase. I bought it for a trip to Mexico and I couldn't hardly bring myself to wear anything else I brought.

My daughter loved this dress, but the fit is slim, so we are ordering the next largest size. She is never a LARGE, but that will be her size in this dress.

Very flattering and comfortable - This is a great little dress. It can be worn as casual and sporty or dressed up a bit. Either way it's sexy and classy. It's very flattering and doesn't show imperfections through the material. I'd love to have in more colors!

Nice dress but won't hide a pooch - This dress is very nice if you are happy with your mid-section. I bought it hoping it would help hide my nearly gone post-baby tummy. However, even though I fit into my pre-baby jeans and clothes, this dress wasn't flattering on me (size 6, 5'7'') right now so I'm returning it. I bought it in the berry color -- it may have worked for me in black but I will wait until I'm back in shape before purchasing it again.

Soft and comfortable, but not for tall women - I am tall (6ft) and larger breasted and the neck is not adjustable so the empire line hit at breast height instead of under them. Had it been adjustable, like the back tie is, this would have been an awesome dress. For regular height women, this would be great. As for fit, I think it fits true to size, the back tie allows some adjustability and it has stretch to it.

Summer dress needs summer body - This is a lovely dress, but the material is a bit clingy, especially round the tummy area. It looks great on, is very comfortable, but when I saw a side view, I wanted to lose 5 pounds.

This dress looks fantastic! I took other reviewers advice and ordered a small (normally I would take a medium). I am a 34DD, and normally I cannot wear shelf bra tops/dresses without looking like sag city. However, the material is a stretchy but substantial fabric and going down a size it supports me nicely. I did try to wear it with a strapless bra, but it is low cut in the back and difficult to do so without your bra showing. As always, Patagonia has made a quality product for us No-Fuss women that still want to look stylish!! Wish this came in more solid colors!

I bought both this Patagonia Morning Glory dress and the Prana Quinn dress in black. Despite the similarities between the two dresses and me not being able to decide between them, my boyfriend immediately said the Patagonia one looked way better and that he did not like the Prana one. The Prana fabric was also a bit heavier and had a more cotton feel to it. I bought it for a trip to Europe in a few months and have already worn it around the house due to its comfort, versatility, and style. I am a 34B and the support bra is sufficient. It does not have any padding so those of you packing more in the bust area may need to wear a bra with it or those of you uncomfortable without some sort of padding up top, may need to wear a scarf over the bust area to avoid the nipples showing. I would highly recommend this. I wish that it came in more solid colors so I could buy more.

I bought a small as I am typically a size 4. I didn't really like the "slim" fit around my 59 year old midsection so exchanged for a medium. The top still fits well and the dress loosely skims me. Love the fit. Love the dress.

This is a fabulous dress. The fit is beautiful and feminine with forgiveness if your waist is not an hourglass. Fabric is great, as is typical for Patagonia. The black holds it's color with washing much better than average in my experience (gentle washing, cold water, hang dry). This is a go-to sundress. Highly recommended.

I was pleasantly surprised by this dress. I wanted something comfy that I could throw on after a day at the pool with some flip flops that would be comfortable yet presentable. This completely fit the bill. Fit is true to size and the built-in bra is great. Deducted one start for style only because it isn't amazing, but still really cute and functional. For reference I'm 5'4", 110 lbs and took an XS.

I love this dress! Very flattering fit, perfect lenght (right above knee, but I am 5'2"). Color looks good with a slight golden tan from summer. Very comfortable--good all day long dress for errands, lunch, even into casual dinner.

I love this dress! It fits beautifully and is so comfortable! I love that I can dress it up with mice sandals or wear it casually with cute sneakers. I also love that this material doesn't wrinkle!

Purchased this for my girlfriend, fits great and true to size. Wrinkle free, go anywhere dress. Fun, flirty and yet classic! She looks stunning in this - dress it up for a romantic dinner or dress it down for the beach.

This dress is exactly what I was looking for. Comfy, supportive up top (read: no bra needed), soft material that is "humidity" friendly, and tailored. With some nice jewelry it is dressed up, but also great around the beach with flip flops. I wish there were more color options!

This is a very comfortable and flattering style sundress. It can definitely be casual or dressed up with heeled sandals. I love this dress. I am a size 4 and 34D and this dress fits like it was made for me in size small. I am going to get it hemmed about an inch and a quarter to make it hit just above the knees. I am 4'11". I would buy another color of this dress if it came in another solid color.

I love this dress! I purchased my first one last summer through another retailer, but then stained it while cooking & couldn't get the oil removed (warning: the fabric seems to really absorb stains!). So I just bought my second one, also in black - the fabric seems almost softer this time around. I wear it as a daytime casual dress but have also dressed it up on warm-weather vacations for an evening out and get lots of compliments on it. Somewhat form-fitting but not tight, very flattering. A little bit long for me, so I might hem this one just an inch or so. Fantastic dress!

The fabric is soft and the style is flattering to my figure. I am 5'6" and 135 lbs and ordered a medium, which fit perfectly. I am a 34DDD and I didn't have a problem with the fit when wearing a strapless bra.

I love this dress so much that I'm tempted to buy a few "extra" so I have one for each summer for years to come! This is an amazing dress - it's soft, light, and fits just right...the halter top doesn't cut into my neck and the waist is that perfect combination of roomy and slim fit. I have both colors (not the new blue color) and know this dress will be my summer staple. No cleavage showing here but I'm a 34B. For the record I'm 5'4", 130lbs, athletic build. You won't find a better dress!

Very wonderful fit - it looks great and smooths out midsection bumps naturally. The fabric lays nice and heavy, but is relatively cool, with moisture wicking properties. The cut is great, and I've gotten lots of compliments. The only issue I've had is another woman wearing it to the same party as me! I guess it's getting popular!
