I purchased these shorts as I trained for my second marathon, while running about 40-50 miles a week. I am 5' 7" and 155 lbs and I wear compression shorts to prevent my thighs from rubbing while I run. The length was nice and a medium fit me well. While the tummy panel rivals most girdles, looking sleek is not my number one requirement in running gear. Function is far more important and unfortunately these shorts fail to deliver high quality. To my sheer dismay, the seams on the inner thighs of these shorts wore out after only 6 weeks of wearing them! The seams split in the middle of a 16 mile run and caused some extreme chafing and discomfort. I was extremely disappointed with the quality of these shorts for the price. However, my sadness was slightly alleviated by Zappos' excellent customer service.

I love these shorts! I also have a pair of the Pro Shorts, which I've had for many years. Even after many washes (cold water, line dry), they are still perfect and do not ride up or get stretched out. These new Stabilyx shorts are made specifically for the hip flexors and IT band. I got the medium shorts for me are a perfect (and snug) fit. I'm approximately a size 6, waist is about 28 inches, hips about 38 inches. These shorts are definitely worth the price--the nicest shorts I have ever run in--period.

The first time I wore them running it was uncomfortable because they felt too tight, but I am used to wearing them now. I cut out the drawstring in the waist (not needed) and the small patch of extra fabric in the crotch (I guess if you wear them commando-style?) and they fit great now. Really holds in the gut nicely.

These shorts are the best. I admittedly don't wear them out on their own. I wear them under yoga pants or at home. My joints are hypermobile which was causing a lot of pain. I even sleep with them on. They have made a huge difference in my pain levels. They seem to work specifically for the joints and alignment, they're not like just wearing Spanx. They do give me a bit of a muffin top but I can just hike them up a bit higher. I ordered more products from CW-X. Excellent quality.

These are the best workout shorts I\'ve ever owned. Expensive, but well worth the price for the support and comfort. Very true to size chart -- if they are hard to pull on the first time, you have the right size!

I bought these, along with others, and I returned them all but these. Best fitting and everything stays put!

This is my 2nd pair cause I love them so much...and once you use the tight kind, it's hard to wear anything else. The length I love on these cause it's not up high. And doesn't ride up.

I purchased CW-X Stabilyx Ventilator shorts after falling in love with the capri-length Stabilyx running pants I already had. I was very skeptical, but a fellow runner had some of these and said they were the best thing since sliced bread. So I got some and the support for my hips is amazing. The vents on the front of the shorts are nice in the heat. These are very comfortable shorts, and I would highly recommend the shorts for hip support, and the capri-length for both hip and knee support.

These shorts are my new favorites. They're compressive and supportive for marathon training without being uncomfortable. I'm 5'7 and 129lbs and a medium fit me perfectly. Well worth the money.

These tights are great! They hold everything in and prevent jiggling for us "baby boomer runners". Going to order the insulators for winter. Great service from Zappos.

The style is fine however they are very very tight. Maybe they're supposed to be but I'd be more comfortable with a size up. Maybe they'll be more comfortable when it isn't so hot outside. Once they're on (which requires a specific strategy) they are like a second skin.

I really wish CW-X comes in petit. CW-X is very well known for compression at the right places so that it helps with fatigue while running and recover faster after the run. However, because not everyone has long legs, this one hit below knee again.

I bought these to wear after I had hip surgery. The do a great job compression-wise but they are also comfortable.

I use these for playing soccer. Since I am close to 50 my joints, especially my hips, don't work as well as they used to. Wearing the CW-X Stabylix shorts really give me extra support and I am able to play better and longer and am less sore after games. After six months of wearing them almost twice a week they have kept their shape well and have softened a bit, feeling more comfortable. Maybe they will soon make one to help with my stamina?

I love these shorts! They sit just right at the waist so no flapping over. Legs stay put and secure and no chafe! I ran my first marathon in these in 90* heat and humidity! Did not feel over heated in these. Quad area provides great ventilation. Still have my mesh suntan though. :). Great compression feel and support but not ridiculously hard to pull off and on. I also felt great in them! Will buy others for sure! Sizing chart is accurate. I bought a medium. 5' 6" 153 lbs. they look super tiny when you look at them but they do fit well!

Love these compression shorts. I am a runner of half marathons and complete about 12 per year. I count on the CW-X vent short to give support and comfort. AND now my sole sisters wear them too!

I ran my first marathon in these shorts and loved them! They were comfortable and cool. Best of all I had no residual muscle soreness afterwards. I am a CW-X fan for life!

CW-X shorts are a must for running! Perfect amount of compression and the mesh in the front helps for hot weather.
