The boot color is a different grey. It looks charcoal grey; when I received the boot it looked green. I will return.

I read all the reviews before I purchased these and yes, there is a smell but it lasts a day. They are super cute with jeans. However, they are very cheaply make and I haven't worn these more than a few times and the sole is already coming apart from the shoe. The price is great for this shoe but as with all things. I got what I paid for and I'm returning them for a different brand of shoe.

Cute boots / Awful, terrible smell: I bought these for my daughter but we somehow entirely missed that they are pleather (or faux leather). They look absolutely great in 'distressed brown'. However, they have the most bizarre petrochemical smell. We held on to them for a little while to see if it would dissipate at all; it did not. At all. We returned them. I cannot help but be concerned: How could something that smells this weird not be bad for you? Zappos Customer Service was, of course, as usual, totally great -- and they have assured me that they will look into this matter further.

I love these boots. I have bigger legs so there just the right height for me, I always have trouble with long boots. I have really low arches n these shoes still feel comfortable, never thought I'd pull off a pointed toe but these are awesome.

I just got these boots and absolutely love them! The chemical smell that everyone seem to complain about was nothing bothersome. I love the style and the color. I am used to paying much more for a pair of shoes so considering the price, I cannot really complain, I am rather really happy with them. I guess you do not have to pay a fortune to look cool! And they do not look cheap at all (that was one thing I was hesitant before ordering).

Cute boots. Bought them in gray. Poor quality. Not worth 10 bucks. The "leatherette" immediately started peeling off of the toe. I had wanted leather boots but couldn't find gray ones fast. If you're not going to "wear" your boots, then they're nice to have. These feel so comfortable, but the cheap fabric started peeling almost immediately after wearing and scuffing. They are now unsightly. What a shame. Zappos is great no matter!

You want to be comfortable and sexy at the same time? This pair of boots are it! It feels like I am walking on clouds! I do not detect any unpleasant smell as mentioned in other reviews. I will no longer be spending so much on boots. This pair beats them hands down!

Really loved these boots. They did not smell funny as described in other reviews and the fit was comfortable the moment I placed them on my feet. I'm so sad that the heel/sole fell off a week later. Shoe glue, here I come. Next purchase, I'll save my receipts for a month before throwing them away.

I have 2 pairs of "authentic" cowboy boots that I love, but they're not the most comfortable shoe I own. The hard soles are hard on your feet. This pair is SO comfortable! Yes, they are rubber soles and not authentic leather, but I get compliments on them all the time. I can wear these all day. I love the pointy toe with jeans and the heel is perfect height. I read a review that they smell out of the box, I didn't smell it? It's a great boot for the price.

Great fit, comfortable wear, and distinctive color. Love them despite some of the other critiques. Glad I decided to give them a try.

I bought these boots with a coupon and it was well worth it! They are about a half size big, but with the narrow toe, I could have not worn a smaller size. Look great with some skinny jeans and a flannel. As for some other reviews concerning a bad smell...mine didn't smell at all, overall happy with these!

This was my first pair of cowgirl boots - I got them for a western themed wedding. Love them and still wear them regularly! So cute and get so many compliments. I'm usually a 7, and the 7 was perfect. They do smell a little funny when you get them, but not a big deal. I prefer fake leather anyway, and the smell faded after one day.

These boots are flat out awesome. They look way more expensive than they were, and the chemical smell the other reviewers had me freaked out about disappeared within an hour of wearing. Completely comfortable, took no breaking in time at all. Buy them! You won't regret it.

Great boot! Super stylish, easy to dress up or down. Definitely a good staple to have for your wardrobe year round but especially for autumn. Fit is nice, a hair large, just a hair. The sole is hard, I recommend a padded insole if you are going to be standing a long time. Overall, great buy.

I like these but I was looking for something for work. They were not quite right. My foot did slide down a little and my big toe was rubbing a little. Not too bad though and maybe better with an insole. Overall I am sending them back because I need something completely comfortable for work. For going out they would be fine, but not what I needed. Others were correct that the smell is potent but I'm sure that will go away. I'm not to sure how the material will hold up though.

I ordered and normally wear a size 8. The fit was a little big but I'll wear a thicker sock. This is a nice comfortable casual style boot to wear with jeans.

These were super cute and I was really excited until i realized they are not real leather... back to the store they went. If youre not picky about genuine leather, they are great boots.

Very cute but be WARNED: The heels on these boots won't last long, they are cheap plastic. I bought these boots about 2 years ago and still have them but the heels are toast. Very soon after getting I started noticing white marks on the heels - the faux wood texture/paint was rubbing off and showing the white plastic underneath. Soon after that the bottom of the heels started deteriorating quickly. The heels are hollow plastic with a cheap nailed on cover to close it in. This cover piece has completely fallen off on one boot and now makes a strange plastic clicking and echo sound when I walk. Due to this I can no longer wear them. But I still love the upper part, so much that I was wondering if I can get them re-soled to salvage them. Seems silly b/c they were pretty cheap to begin with but that's how much I love them. Put higher quality heels on these boots and I would totally buy again!

Style over substance. While I loved these boots and wore them frequently they are headed into the garbage in less than six months. The faux leather peeled away from the toe areas within the first couple of wears. In the last month the heel on the right boot cracked open and now squishes down with every step.

These boots felt great on my foot, but I don't need arch support. I liked them large feeling -- and the snip toe makes this style even more rockin' as far as I was concerned. But they scuffed up (permanently) the first day and this vinyl material is cheap! Too bad they don't make these in leather: I'd hop on them. As it is, when you try to clean the "scuff" up, the vinyl just peels off. I have to give these a 1 because of really poor quality. I made myself wear them a couple of times but that was money wasted. Don't waste your time on these at all: Take the money and apply it to a good pair of leather boots. If they get scuffed, no big deal...just leather paste wax. (Oh, and the smell of this urethane material or whatever it is, was awful for awhile.)
