I bought these for something to wear with jeans other than athletic shoes as well as for winter weather when boots aren't necessary. They are perfect for that and I have worn them often. Very comfortable, sturdy, and required no breaking in. I wear them also with yoga pants and casual pants too. May go back for another color. These are more gray than they look in the picture.

Absolutely wonderful shoes. I have bad feet, wide feet, troublesome feet, and these shoes are the best...a bit slippery on snow and ice, though.

I love these shoes! I wear an 8 1/2 and have a wide foot. I recently have been told my foot pain is because I'm not wearing shoes with enough arch support. I have worn these shoes for three day and have been on my feel a lot. My feet feel better than they have in months! These shoes look nice also. I want a pair in every color now! Worth every cent!

These are very comfortable shoes. I have a wider foot towards the toe area with a skinny ankle. My toes have plenty of room. I have a normal arch and they fully support it. I did have to put in heel grips so they wouldn't slide as much, and that really helped. Also, consider what socks you wear when trying these on. Tried them with regular cotton socks and they slipped a lot in the heel. Put on my smart wool and Teko socks and that remedied the situation. Proof that a cheaper sock just doesn’t cut it. I wore these all night standing on cement floor for a concert and they kept my feet comfy. LOVE THEM!

This pair of Keens gave me blisters on my heels the first time out. Now that we’ve grown accustomed to each other, it’s a very comfortable shoe. As with all Keens, roomy toe box, study arch support.

Great looking shoe. It works well with my new orthotic insert because I can pull out the existing insole in this shoe (and in several other Keens, just check the descriptions). The Urban Chic color is very cool. Looks nicer than a sneaker. The material is a bit stiff but is good quality and I think it will soften up. They don't come in wide, but feel wider than a typical medium width shoe. The big toe box help keeps my toes happy.

I LOVE these shoes. I have problem feet, including bunions and a tendency toward plantar faciitis. I have tried on SO many shoes over the last couple of years trying to find something that fit and was supportive, but was also cute and contemporary. I had even tried Keens before, but had not found a style that fit these criteria. By chance, I thought I'd try some Keens again, and found Toyah....perfection on my feet! They accommodate my foot issues and are comfortable right out of the box. I am on my feet all day teaching and they just feel so darn good. I'm not even using my custom made orthotics with them because of their support. (They will accommodate them, however.) I literally feel like I have a spring in my step when I wear them. As always, Zappos service is amazingly fast and I am always happy with their selection of styles, brands, sizes and colors....and simple returns if needed.

I made the right choice with these Toyah shoes. Very comfortable from the first time that I put them on. I ordered a 8.5, they would be loose if I did not wear socks. The color goes with all my casual wear. Have had many compliments on them. I love these Keen Toyah shoes. I would like to have more colors in these shoes.

I love my Keene shoes! This is the 3rd pair for me. The others have put in tons of walking,hiking miles all over the world, and my cranky feet stayed happy. Thank you Keen's and Zappos. You are my lifeline.

I stand up all day at work. Eight hours on granite. These shoes are perfect for that. I have been looking for a pair of shoes that I can wear outside in the Boston ice/snow and also wear all day long at work, and these are it! There was almost no break in period (just a small spot on the right heel), and they can also easily accommodate a small heel lift that I wear. This is my third pair of Keens, and they never disappoint.

I am still trying shoes out indoors, but I'm pretty sure I'm going to keep them. They are pretty comfy, but feel pretty snug. Not sure yet on long distance walking which I need shoes for.

This is my second pair of Keens in the same style. I got a pair of brown ones last year and wore them almost constantly as they are insanely comfortable. I work in a bookstore and am on my feet for 8 hours a day or more. I also walk to work. These shoes are definitely up to that. They do run a bit small. I got a half size larger than I usually wear. I would like to try some of the Keen sandals in the summer.

I have had Keen shoes before, and normally I can wear them straight out of the gate without a break in period. These have required a bit of a break in period. Disclaimer: I have had several surgeries on one ankle, so often times shoes will cause challenges during break in on that foot, as did these. I think the rubbing on the back of my heel is related to my condition, not the shoe (my other foot/ankle was fine with no blisters). I will say the tongue of the shoe is quite stiff and rubs, though not enough to leave a blister. You are just aware of it. The arch support of this shoe is excellent. Also, they are very blue, but cute.

Great shoes. I have wide feet and these are very wide and getting wider. The sole is a bit stiff but softening as I am wearing them. I found I needed to wear my orthotics with them.

I wanted to like these shoes. They were fairly comfortable and stylish overall, but the heel fit too loosely. I wear a 9.5 medium and don't think I have an especially narrow heel, but these shoes were sliding up and down my heel when I walked. I returned them and got the Merrell Quartz instead, which fit perfectly (no slippy heel).

I tried these in three different sizes and none felt quite right. My normal size 9 was best but the soles just didn't provide much support. The shoes were also very stiff and rubbed at the top of my feet when walking. Really wanted to keep these but had to send them back. Nice grey color and they make your feet look tiny.

I love these shoes they are great! They only problem I have is they leave my socks stained black from the inside padding of the shoe.I dont know if that is normal for all shoes but I rather hate it.

This review is written for those who may be debating between trying the Toyah versus the Presidio. They seemed so similar to me and I wondered how they differed. A few months ago, I purchased a pair of Presidios a half size up from my usual size, as recommended by a lot of other reviewers. The shoes felt wonderful and I kept them. After wearing them for a while now, I was starting to think that perhaps they were a touch too large after all, and that I should have at least tried them in my usual size. Since I hadn't ever tried Toyahs at all, I ordered the Presidio in my usual size, a Toyah in my usual and a Toyah up a half size. The Toyahs are definitely narrower than the Presidios are. I have a wide foot and that is what I like about Keens, that they usually accommodate my wider foot. Neither of the Toyahs fit me. My regular size in the Toyah was just too small. The other was too long but still too narrow. The Presidio was wide enough and allowed one's toes to wiggle. The Toyah, besides being too narrow for my wide foot also didn't allow any vertical toe wiggling; they were much flatter across the toes. So, I ended up keeping the Presidio in my regular size (I'll wear the original Presidios with thicker socks), for they were ideal. If you have a true medium width or narrower foot, the Toyahs will probably be great for you - and they have so many more appealing color choices. But, if like me, you have a wide foot, you'l like the Presidio much better.

I purchased these to do yard work and some light walking. I bought a size 8. This is my true size but I frequently buy size 8.5 or dress shoes. These felt tight from the moment I put them one. I wore them for 2 days straight doing yard work and walking the dog. After the first day I had mild blisters. After the second day I had more substantial blisters. The blister occurred where it rubbed my heel. I couldn't put them on the third day. They are supportive and rugged and stood up to shoveling and hauling rocks. But if I had to do it all over again, I would buy an 8.5 or I would break them in slowly.

This shoe is not at all comfortable. It hurts! Tried it for several days, but unable to wear it. The leather is stiff. The tongue is too long by 1/2 to 3/4 inch. It rubbed a sore spot on the front of my ankle. Ouch. My feet, ankles, and knees hurt after wearing these shoes. A waste of money. Buy the Keen Presidio instead!

I bought the Peppercorn as the only one available in my size and I love them. At first felt snug and wasn't sure but walked around for several days inside and they are wonderful. My feet never hurt in them. Yeah Zappos!

Very comfortable shoes, and good looking too! Has great arch support and a wider toe box for those of us who like wiggle room for our toes. I have several pairs of Keen Toyahs in different colors and just love them.

I had read the reviews about sizing and was worried, so I ordered my size and 1/2 size larger. My regular size fit me perfectly. These shoes have great support and were comfortable from the start. Love them. Zappos return policy is so easy and hassle free, I was able to return the 2nd pair without any problems. I will have no problem ordering from Zappos in the future, they are awesome and easy to use!

I love this color. Neutral but not brown, although wore out a pair of brown and liked those, too. Fit was my usual Keen size, a half size larger than other shoes. Zappos service was quick and accurate. Very happy with my purchase!
