Fantastic shoe for classic style and basic comfort. They were quite noisy/squeaky at first and still are a bit squeaky after a few weeks (where the tongue rubs against the rest of the shoe). Getting them wet helps in this regard, but who wants to walk around in wet shoes, albeit quite ones.

Love this shoe. I've traveled through most of Europe and SE Asia with a pair and they are sturdy and stylish.
Semi-water proof but don't try and walk through a monsoon.
Very bummed I can't find them in all black leather anymore.

These shoes are very comfortable. They run true to size, in my opinion, and they are stylish. I get compliments all the time since they are classics. I did encounter the squeaky noise from the tongue rubbing on the inner leather of the shoe. As recommended by others, just rub some lotion on the tongue and that takes care of it.

This is one of the nicest pairs of Adidas that I own. And I have a few. I like the fact that they are all leather besides the usual suede parts on other Sambas. The fit is perfect.

These rock! These are the second pair of Samba's my 12 year old daughter has had. She loved the first pair and had them for years. Comfortable, durable and good indoor soccer shoes too. They didn't wear out, her feel grew too big and she had to have another pair. Great value.

I got these for riding (cycling) and they are great, stiff sturdy sole and breathable material. Not to mention cute! They do make a weird squeaky noise when you walk, like other reviewers have mentioned, I'm hoping that will go away with more wear. One thing I do want to point out is i had to go through two returns and exchanges to finally get a size that fit me (thank you Zappos for your truly amazing customer service!) since these only came in men's sizes, I had to do a bit of conversion. My advice is to follow the standard/universal conversion chart, instead of the one provided by Adidas. I'm normally a size 7-7.5 in woman's, and a 5.5(us) in these are a perfect fit.

I was fairly warned- these shoes squeak. It's fine if you're outside but inside an office or building you could definitely hear it. It's going away a tad but something to be aware of. Otherwise, they feel great although I personally prefer my Gazelles.

Great shoes. I love them! The heel liner is leathery stuff, not fuzzy cloth, which I was looking for.
They squeak a lot when I first got them. As I tightened the laces toward the toe, the squeaking has gone away.

Absolutely fantastic. Solid basic casual sneaker for men. Comfortable and looks great. Only 2 issues: the laces always seem to come undone - make sure you double-tie. They can also be very squeaky - I've been applying Vaseline to the tongue to stop that.

Really awesome shoe. Had it for three months now, and it's perfectly broken in. Not showing scuffs, which is huge because I go through shoes really fast (4-6 months). Tough, comfy, good looking. What more do you need?

The description of "Original" is so appropriate to those of us that have long memories and when I put these classics on my feet, inevitably I forget I have them on because it raises a vision in my mind's eye of when I wore these guys "in the day".
