Got these shoes about a month ago. I had wanted a pair for years and years. The first couple times I wore them, they were very uncomfortable and rubbed against certain bones near/around my ankle area. I got a painful blister or two. So I was sad because I love the way they look SO much! Also, I am a very tiny person, with very narrow feet, so it surprised me that the shoes felt so tight. But anyway, I stretched the shoes out with my hands occasionally, and now they fit great! Another thing that helped at first was putting Vaseline all on the places on the shoe where it was rubbing against my foot, and even put Vaseline on my socks a couple times. The other issue I had was the squeaking sound that the tongue made. I just took water on a paper towel and scrubbed it, then a little more of that good ol' Vaseline, and that fixed the issue, no more squeak! I love wearing them, they look stylish for a tennis shoe. And the shoes arrived in just a little over a day after ordering them!! That was awesome. Very very happy overall.

These are great and stylish. Mine do not seem to squeak much like some other reports. Also, I went down half a size than my Stan Smiths and that was the right choice.

I have a wide foot and found this shoe to fit better than other standard width shoes. You have to be OK with little arch support. But for hanging out, this is just fine. There's a reason it's a classic.

I have a difficult time finding tennis shoes that are wide but not too wide. I never thought of buying shoes that are men's and women's but I gave it a try and they're great. I had to exchange for size smaller, but of course, service was fast and efficient!

I had the black ones for many years over 10 years ago so I decided to give the white ones a shot. These are really, really cute. I wear a true 8½ women's. What that means is that I have the most minimal amount of toe room in an 8½ and could do a 9 without it flopping off my foot. Based on the reviews, I decided to get a 6½ men's/7½ women's and they fit pretty well. My toenail is slightly long so I could have gone up half a size and been more comfortable but considering that I will not be walking long distances the size I have is fine. I do plan on walking in them though and I do not imagine that they will hurt my feet. My only gripe with these is that that the leather is not as supple as they used to be back in the day so I do not expect them to get that cute worn-in look that I have grown to love so much with Sambas. I hope this helps.

Don't worry about the squeaking when you first get them you just have to break the leather in I promise it will go away! Shoe is perfect goes with anything you wear, sambas is all I wear!

Love them. Super comfortable. A little big but I have a wide food so it's not enough to go down a half size for me. I just will have to tie them tightly. Classic great shoe!

I had read reviews so when I got these yesterday I rubbed the soles hard on the carpet to get rid of the sole squeak. Then I wore them to work today and I read of others using hand lotion on the part where the tongue meets the main shoe but I only had burts bees chap stick so I used that and no more squeak! And can't beat the iconic sambas style.

My favorite pair of shoes ever. They are stylish, comfortable, and durable. These have been my main shoe for the last 8 years.

They arrived yesterday so I don't have a lot to say about all-day comfort but the fit is pretty good. I wear a women's 7 and these fit pretty good in length. The width is a touch more than I expected so if you have narrow feet, the Medium width will be too wide. I am not sure if they will be too wide for me once I break them in and the leather stretches a bit. They look sharp and are quality-made. The laces snug up well without pinching or bunching the tongue. Overall, I'm really happy with my purchase and look forward to wearing them.

Thank you, Zappos! I was emailed once my size was available, then I called to place the order. The gentleman over the phone informed me it would be shipped the next day, and it was! It's a classic white sneaker to wear all year long in California.

Nice sneakers; however, I had to exchange for a smaller size. The women size chart is not accurate. I am a size 6 in women and a 5 in men was too big. My back heel slips out when I walk in them so I exchanged for a 4.5 in men.

A great, durable shoe to knock around in. Over the years I have also tried the Samba Classic but I feel the Samba Original is well worth the extra cost. The main difference I find is the material of the white stripes on the Originals stays white while the stripes on the Classics tends to dim and does not clean easily.

I wear a women's size 6.5. I ordered the suggested men's size 5.5. The shoes fit great. They are a little roomy in the toe box, but I'm fine with that. I am rating these as "Felt true to size" but keep in mind that they are women's size converted from men's size. I wouldn't say they are a true 6.5 women's size because of the roomy toe box. I would say they also have a little less than moderate arch support. They are a little squeaky as noted in other reviews, but not too bad. I will add some lotion as recommended to fix the squeaking. I like how the back of the shoe does not rub high on the back of my ankle. Overall these shoes fit great and look great. I've gotten loads of compliments.

I've read other reviews where people have said the shoes squeak. They do, but they are so comfortable and look cool that it doesn't matter. Unless you are just walking around your house, it's not noticeable. I am a female and wear a wide (D) in women's so these shoes were perfect.

I was having a hard time figuring out the difference between these and the adidas Originals Samba (not leather) shoe that is cheaper. The materials on this shoe squeak a lot more (I've had a pair of both) than the cheaper ones, so I assume the leather difference is that this show uses more authentic leather. Also, the tongue is smaller. Besides those two differences it is essentially the same shoe as the cheaper version.

I had a pair of these in high school and was longing for another pair. They definitely did not disappoint. I love the old school feel of this sneaker. I am a women's 8 and the men's 7 fits perfectly! They are a great pair of old school kicks! As always, Zappos' customer service is the best in the business! :-)

Bought the originals vs the classics on a whim. The big seller for me was the leather on the inside heel of the shoe, where the classics have cloth. This should extend the life of the shoe a lot. When I got this shoe in, I was shocked at the quality difference vs the Samba classic. The originals are worth double the price in build quality alone. Seams are straighter, material is higher end, and they fit a little better than the classics.

I have had a pair of these replacing them back to back for 25 years. They look great, are comfortable and have timeless style. Get every color. I have several.

Great fit and comfort. The tongue squeaks a bit at first but found adding a little hand lotion to the areas that rub clears it right up. That is funny but true.

Perfect casual spring shoe. Wearing them right now. They have the comfort of all the Samba shoes. Smooth/shiny white leather with an off-white more textured toe-kick area.

These felt true to size with Adidas. I'm a ladies 9 and I always wear a men's 8 in Adidas (the men's are always less narrow than the ladies shoes, they're just more comfortable in my opinion). The tongue is pretty stiff and can be sometimes a little pain to put on and get flat, you might have to reinsert your foot a few times - I really only have trouble on the right foot. That's really my only qualm with them. I love the way the look and feel!

These are the most comfortable shoes I own! I have received soo many compliments on them as well :) Had to use a bit of vaseline to prevent light squaking, but other than that I'm in love!!

I love these sneaks! They fit well and look great. My only complaint is that they squeak a lot! I'm hoping that as they get broken in that goes away...otherwise it's going to put a real dent in my ninja skills.
