I have severe over-pronation and these shoes brought great relief to my sore feet. Their structure keeps my feet in a good position. My orthotics fit in nicely. I especially like the nice roomy toebox; and the laces have a new type of texturing that keeps them from getting loose. With all their added structure and support, they still look stylish too.

Fantastic. I used to buy sneakers in the $80 range, and was skeptical whether more money would make a difference. But it does! These feel like air.

I have flat feet, a bunion & I pronate; these are the only athletic shoes that work for me. I have 2 pair & got them both from Zappos!

I really like these very comfortable shoes. I am on my feet all day and they are very light. They come in wide widths which are usually hard to find. I would get a half size larger next time. Overall, I love these shoes!

These sneakers are the updated version of WR1011. I will only buy New Balance because of their SL-2 last, which fits me perfectly: great support for my narrow heels, flat and arthritic feet. I could walk in them forever.

These are the best shoes! I know they are a little pricey, but they are perfect for severe over pronators like myself. My favorite style, the 1010, finally got retired, but the 1012 jumped in its place perfectly. Good fit, true to size, hardly any break in time! These are totally worth it!

I am a faithful New Balance customer and not surprisingly, I found another NB shoe that I love. My feet are long and wide and this shoe was an excellent fit. Maybe a bit lose in the heel, but I will try retying them. Tried them out on a six mile walk and they were great.

I have been wearing New Balance sneakers for the last 6 years. These are most definitely the best New Balance sneakers I have ever owned! The support is incredible and the fit is perfect! Once you start wearing New Balance shoes you will never switch to another brand!

I previously purchased the WR1011 model and now the WR1012. I love these shoes, very comfortable and lots of support. Hoping New Balance comes up with more colors.

Shoes arrived promptly, as usual - they are great, fit terrific, and provide excellent support to my extremely flat foot. I would recommend them to anyone.

Many reviews left here are for people who wore these shoes for walking/hiking/work. Well these are running shoes, and I bought them to run in. I am 105 pounds, run two or three times a week, 5-10K. These shoes are very heavy and took a month to break in. They felt like blocks of cement tied to my feet. I guess you can call that stability! I have wide feet and bunions and thought I should try more stability compared to my last pair, which were Saucony ProGrid 2, weighing in at 10 ounces. Well, the extra 2 ounces on each foot and the stiffness of the WR1012 caused my calves to cramp up. I had to stop every couple blocks just to stretch out the cramp. For a larger/heavier runner, these shoes may break in more easily, but for smaller frame runners like myself with no real orthopedic issues, 12-14oz. shoes are overdoing it.

This sneaker is just too much shoe for me. It seems very large and heavy.

I first want to thank Zappos for their great customer service. I ordered the sneaks on a Thursday and received them the next day. The New Balance sneaks I ordered are very comfortable and true to size.

Great shoe for problem feet because of the combination last. I have bunions, a very wide forefoot and narrow heel. This is the first shoe I've bought that is wide enough and completely comfortable for my sensitive feet. I bought a full size larger than my measured size, and a half size larger than what most shoes run. This is the first 2E width that is truly wide -- plenty of room for my bunions. The shoe has excellent support, cushion and plenty of room in the toe box. My feet are very happy, and I am thrilled to find a shoe that is comfortable for walking. Plus, it is a good-looking shoe and does not look like orthopedic. It would be great if New Balance would make more styles in this combination last. Thank you Zappos!

These shoes are awesome for my flat tired feet. Went for a walk twice now since I got them today and what a wonderful difference I do own another pair of New Balance shoes but these are better than the last pair as far as comfort Thank You again Zappos, you have a life long shopper.

I have spent about $2000 & tried 4 different brands of shoes in the past year before I finally found these NB. I have the opposite of pronation (my feet bend outward on my shoes). I love the stabilizer bar in these shoes. They are super comfortable. Hopefully they will hold up better than the others I bought! I usually wear a 10 wide but I had to send them back and get a 9 1/2 wide. They are perfect! Zappos is wonderful to deal with. I received my shoes the next day and was able to get the replacement pair without waiting for the return to go through. I had found the shoes cheaper on another website but they didn't offer free shipping both ways and charged tax. The customer service at Zappos is well worth a few extra dollars!

Usually I love New Balance products, but buying this one was a mistake on my part. When I was searching the Zappos web site, I limited the search to New Balance walking shoes. This one looked good, I ordered it, and it fit. But as I walked in these shoes, I realized that they were not comfortable; they felt flat-footed, lacking the rocking effect of a walking shoe. Sure enough, when I checked the Zappos web site description, I saw they were described as a runing shoe-- even though they had come up in the selection when I asked for walking shoes. I think this wasn't helpful on Zappos part, but by the time I realized my mistake, the shoes had been worn too much to return. I ended up giving them away-- and being more careful the next time I looked for shoes.
I'd also recommend:
None. I generally wear only New Balance.

These shoes are way too wide. I wish they came in a narrow size. They seem like they are what I was looking for.

My orthopedic surgeon recommended the SL-2, the base that these shoes are built on. I always preferred Asics rather than New Balance shoes, but I decided to give these a try. I am relatively young, 34, but I have bunions, and I have found that these shoes have a wide toe box that is very comfortable for me. I run in these shoes all the time. They feel a little big, but I think that is just because the toe box is not crowding my feet like my old Asics did. I definitely plan to buy more of these in the future.

These are the best shoes ever. I never thought I would spend this much money on a pair of exercise shoes, but they are worth it. The fit is great, they are cushiony, and they work for everything -- treadmill, walking, and running. I put these shoes on, and they make me feel like my feet have wings. I really like these shoes. They are well ventilated.

I have chronic foot issues, morton's neuroma and hammer toes and tend to over supinate. I found these through a New Balance store in Tucson and love them, best fitness shoe I've ever worn. Ran really long, I usually wear 9 1/2 in fitness shoes, could fit into 8 1/2 no problem but wound up with a 9 to be safe. I work in fitness teaching classes and personal training and highly recommend this shoe, it is worth every penny.

I was strictly a Saucony person until they changed the type of sneaker i wore. I ordered the New Balance. Although I think they are a little pricey, but I have to say so far they are wonderful even though it's only a week. So far they are great.
