The Breakwalls are aptly named. Maybe they should rename them Breakwell. Mine broke at the ear piece where it joins the lens, while hanging around my neck on a cord.

I guess Maui Jim came up with "cheaper" sunglasses and boy are they. Mine broke after the 2nd week. I would not recommend these at all.

I've had these glasses for about a year and a half and have worn them every work day since I bought them and they are awesome. Super light and pretty durable, I've probably dropped them 15-20 times and they are still holding strong. There are a few scratches on the lenses, but it's to be expected due to the abuse. I wear them at work because they are ANSI certified for shatter resistance and safety glasses are mandatory all the time.

So far so good! I got these before reading any reviews, and I have to say that I love them. They are very lightweight, flexible, and so far, my hair hasn't gotten caught in them. It's true that you may need to use both hands to slide them on as the arms are very flexible and get a little wonky if your hair gets in the way... but for the style and comfort, I think I can live with that.

I have owned a pair of Maui Jim Breakwall for several months. I live in southern California and wore them recently while in Hawaii. They are excellent sunglasses that provide excellent protection. In my opinion their only shortfall is that the sides are not hard plastic but rubbery and flexible so it makes them difficult to put one with one hand, especially if you are trying to put them on while driving. Because the sides are flexible they may catch and bend in your hair while putting them on. While this protects them from breaking easily, it can be annoying. However, overall, I have been very pleased with them.

I've had mine for several months, and I wear them every day for work. I've had absolutely no problems with them. They're lightweight so wearing them all day is no problem. I work as a contractor, and everything I wear takes abuse. I have yet to find a pair of jeans last more than 5 months. These Maui Jim's don't even have a scratch on them. I've found that as long as I don't use my shirt to clean my glasses, they don't scratch. Overall...lightweight and comfortable, check. Durable, double check. Inexpensive, well relatively, uhh, check. Buy these. They're a good value.

Lost one of the nose piece cushions simply wiping the lens off - didn't even feel it come off. Then the support arm on the right broke too easily. Flimsy glasses - and you can't find parts anywhere. Garbage.

Super light weight and great clarity! Lost them, but knew I had to reorder a new pair.

I came across Maui Jim's by accident, while serching for glasses for a friend of mine. I drive truck for a living so I wear sun glasses all day so how light they are allows me to wear them all day without the side of my head by my ears hurting due to the arms pushing into my head. The root beer works well in all conditions for me. This will be my second pair. I had accidentally stepped on my first ones. Cannot wait to get back home and pick them up.

I just purchased my second pair after loving my first pair for over 6 yrs. I had a wonderful experience getting my the previous pair repaired after I let them go through the washing machine. My ears are not even and these flexible, light weight arms make these glasses fit amazing and straight. Love my Maui Jim's!!

Just bought my second pair!!! I needed a backup pair in case something happened to my other ones. Having migraines these have been a blessing for the light sensitivity and are light enough not to cause more strain. Have had my other pair for 2 years now and only trouble was the nose bridge broke and MJ was great about fixing it for me.

Light weight yet durable! I'm tough on sun glasses, but these are the bomb and Maui Jim repairs them and I keep trucking. Thanks

Had my first pair of Breakwalls for years. Had them repaired twice. Sadly, I lost them. Thankfully, they still have this model and color. Absolutely love these. I have another model of Maui Jim as my backup, but these are my favorites.
