A friend raved about these shoes but after I got them, I remembered that I'd returned them once before. It's the ankle strap that is the problem. It's just the wrong angle--positioned too high on the foot so it rubs when walking. I cannot afford to buy shoes that will just stay in my closet-- so they are going back. Too bad, because otherwise they feel and look good! I'll keep wearing my 15-year-old Tevas until they completely fall apart or Teva finally makes an improved style.

This was not for me. It was not what I needed. I take full responsibility for ordering it on recommendation from a friend. But I really needed something more like a camp shoe and not a "flip flop". I thought I might keep them anyway but I found them to be uncomfortable.

i liked the look of the shoe and it was super comfortable all except the ankle strap. I wore them for about an hour and i had sores on both my ankles from them. It was so disappointing. I owned an original pair that lasted 8 years and LOVED them. I will go back to the basics.

I had to return this shoe. I the upper strap is is high it hit right in the bend of my foot and ankle very uncomfortable. I wear a large size so maybe they just got it wrong in the longer sizes. It was really bad.

These sandals were comfortable, but after only 5 or 6 days of wear, they reeked. I wear sandals all summer every summer and I have never had this happen before. Zappos was very very nice and let me return them, but I wanted to warn others. This seems to be a problem with Tevas specifically, something about the material they are made of. I would choose another brand.

I bought this for walking in Disney. I wore the sandals a little each day for a week leading up to my visit. They were pretty comfy for short walks, going shopping and around the house. Half way through the day my feet were killing me! I definitely won't be wearing them there again. The sandal had no give or cushion. Very disappointed.

While I have worn Teva sandals for many years, this is the first model that is very uncomfortable. I wore it one day and found it very uncomfortable as the strap comes up so high on the ankle that it presses on the ankle bone and rubs it raw. It is the way the shoe was constructed and probably for some people it isn't a problem, but it certainly was for me, so it is going back. Which is too bad, as it is a cute shoe.

Purchased for trip to Disney, wore them on the first day straight out of the box. They were very uncomfortable after less than an hour. Straps cut into my feet even after adjusting them. Blisters in the back. Very disappointing.

This sandal is very supportive, but I do not like the material of the foot bed. My feet sweat terribly on the rubber like material and then both my feet and the sandals start to smell bad. When I wash my feet, I also need to wash my sandals.

Regrettably, the top edge of the little padded flap on the inside ankle rubbed in a way that I knew immediately would cause problems and I didn't want to end up using moleskin or Bandaids every time I wore the sandal. I ordered the Teva Toachi to replace the Tirra, and while the Toachi is fine and I'm already wearing it, I LOVED the styling of the Tirra. if the padded flap were a little longer, the edge of it wouldn't have been a problem.

I specifically ordered these sandals for walking. They are very durable and have good support. The major problem is the strap that crosses the front of the ankle...it's way too wide and hurts when walking. I've tried loosening it but then my foot slips in the sandal. I have several pairs of Teva thongs and love them but this Tirra model is not well designed. I wish I had returned them.

The strap lining material chafes horribly. The padding under the straps does not line the straps completely (zoom in to see what I mean), and everywhere the padding stops and starts creates red marks on my feet. I've worn and enjoyed Teva sandals for years and years, bought my first pair way back in the 1980s when they were not widely available. I wanted to love these, but unfortunately they really didn't work for me.

I could not wait to receive these shoes. I had read all the reviews on how these shoes were so comfortable. I have purchase Teva shoes in the past with nothing but love for the sandal, but these were very uncomfortable. The arch support was lower than my previous pair of Tevas, and they just didn't feel the same.

I wanted to love these because the footbed is very comfy and supportive, but the ankle strap hits my bony foot in just the wrong spot, no matter how loose or tight I make it. After only a few minutes of wearing them around the house I was already developing blisters under the ankle strap. Regrettably, I'll return them.

Makes my feet look like Fred Flintstone feet. Toe straps can't be made tight enough and arch straps are too tight. Unable to get the proper fit.

I really wanted to like these sandals because they are really cute and very versatile. However, they are just extremely uncomfortable for me. The back strap rubed on my achilles tendon really hard and caused some deep bruising before I even realized it. It actually prevented me from hiking normally the rest of my trip out West after I wore it for a day walking around town. I do not recommend it for people who have sensitive feet or sensitive skin. I also got blisters in a variety of other locations where the hard material rubbed on my food.

This shoe seemed perfect for a casual walking shoe for the summer. Although once I wore them around the house a bit, I found the top strap to be uncomfortable - loosening the strap didn't help, so I had to return them.

Really cute for this type of shoe but very uncomfortable unfortunately. Both foot straps dig into your foot after walking a few minutes. Sadly, I had to return them.

The straps are not long enough. Lots of velcro hang out and could catch on clothing. This sandal
has little to no arch support. I can only wear mine for small amounts of time before my feet start to hurt. Not what I was expecting at all. Am already looking for a replacement pair of sandals.

In terms of fit, this sandal was adequate for
wide width feet. The problem was that the
plastic or whatever it was made from literally
caused the soles of my feet to burn. I washed
the soles of the sandals. I scrubbed the soles of
the sandals. I soaked the sandals. The sandals
burned the soles of my feet? I have never ever
had that reaction with anything. Ok. I admit I
have a unique case in that I was forced to put
my name on most of my socks recently. Someone
frequently dirties my shoes without my knowledge.
But this was right out of the box. There was something
wrong with the plastic used in the construction of
the sandals, which was unfortunate bc I had a pair
of similar Teva sandals 2011-2016 that were wonderful. I
switched to SAS to buy an American product, but they
don't make a super sturdy sandal that can be washed
thoroughly. I tried to go back to Teva last year, but Teva
isn't what they used to be. Could I possibly delete this
post after 30 days? I hate to leave a bad review. This
is most likely a case of sabotage I would guess.

I had high hopes of wearing these sandals during my five-week overseas vacation. Unfortunately, I didn't have a chance to fully break them in before my trip, and I ended up developing blisters on the back of my heel. I contacted Customer Service to ask about a refund or store credit so I could purchase a different style that would work better for me. While they were unable to honor the request since it was beyond the 30-day window, I was really disappointed given that the sandals were nearly $100. Sadly, this means I'm unable to wear the sandals or get a replacement.

I have always worn Tevas and absolutely loved them. I don't know what has changed, but these are no good. My feet have never hurt so bad. Constant pain, and believe me, I tried breaking them in and wearing them for awhile. No improvement. I don't think I will be purchasing Tevas ever again.
