I have had these sandals for about a month now. They are comfortable but they feel slightly like high heels. Their soles are thinner than my old Teva sandals (five years old) , particularly the toe end which tends to gather more dirt and rocks because of how thin it is. I think the large stitches on the Velcro straps looks like it will not hold up well. Yes, they look nice, but I wonder how long they will last. They do not seem very sturdy for a serious hiker or just for long term use. They also already stink. I thought Teva resolved that issue by now.

I didn't like the strange chemical smell of the sandal. I wonder about the quality of the product.

Love Zappos the company and 3 years ago bought a pair of Black dressy strappy sandals that I love - great support, comfort and style. Like everything about the Teve Tirra sandal except there is a buckle on the inside of the shoe that hit right below the ankle bone so I had to return it. But...again Zappos return is easy and friendly. Thanks, Zappos!

I needed a break in period - the edging on the straps hit the top of my little toes and the top of my foot - got little blisters but now they are good. I love my regular Tevas but the black sole turns my foot black so wanted to try a light colored sole. These should be good but not like my others.

I want to love this sandal but it just doesn't work for me. I bought a pair last year and returned them and ended up doing the same this year. The strap across the front of my ankle digs into my bones and creates a mark, no matter how I adjust the strap. The padding does not go all the way across the ankle but ends partway across, leaving an edge that digs in...a design flaw in my view. And with every step, my foot seems to stick to the foot bed and it makes a little sound as I walk. My skin is very dry so it's not from sweaty feet. They just didn't work for me.

I have plantar fasciitis in the left foot, and the sandal provides excellent support and is very comfortable. With narrow feet, it's hard to find sandals that fit, so I can only wear those with adjustable straps. In this case, the straps hold my foot securely, but this shoe should have been sold as a Wide! The foot bed is a half inch wider than any other medium sandal I own, and that includes two pairs of Tevas. They look enormous and clunky, so I have to return them.

These are very comfortable BUT the 1st pair of any-type of shoe that ever made my feet stink! Also I noticed they are looking 'worn' after 1-month.

I was so excited to purchase these walking sandals for my vacation this year. Sadly, they strangely rubbed against my ankle and toes which left blisters. I'm so disappointed.

Mostly pretty comfortable, but chafes a bit around the front of the ankle strap.

Runs half size too big, Usually Teva's straps are much softer on underside, against foot. It seems well made. This shoe is very stiff, rubs against my toes so I know it will chafe. Immediately not comfortable for me, I returned it.

This shoe looked clunky and didn't seem that comfortable. I have a medium width foot and I wasn't able to adjust this enough across the instep to get it to fit.

After all the great reviews, I was disappointed in these sandals. It took awhile before I finally got the straps adjusted. While I can see being able to make so many adjustments can be a good thing, it didn't help me. The foot bed felt very comfortable, the straps were the problem. No matter what I did, couldn't make them comfortable. If it works for you, the straps probably make the sandal fit really well, but they also make the shoe rather clunky looking. Teva is an excellent brand, but this shoe is not for me. Thanks for the usual great service from Zappos!

These sandals felt comfortable at first, but after wearing them for a couple of hours, I noticed my skin chafing. Also they are very slippery on wet surface. I was wearing them at a resort in Cancun, and they did not have any traction on wet smooth surfaces. I did not see any review that mentioned this problem. These are the only two problems I have with the sandals for now.

These are very comfortable. Unfortunately, they are super ugly. They run a little big overall, and looked huge even on my extra-wide foot. There is quite a bit of support, however, that was not comfortable for me, as I have weird feet that are both really flat and have normal arch (really thick muscle under arch), so these were pushing my mid foot up a bit too much. Otherwise, just could not look at them without crying.

Oh my, should have believed the others who said these make your feet sweat. I wore them for an hour maybe in my air conditioned house, feet got very sweaty. Too bad, they would be good walking sandals. I will stick with my old Merrell's. I have very small, wide feet, so it is challenging to find sandals that fit. They did feel a tad long, but I could have dealt with that. I was not bothered by the hind foot strap, felt as if it held my foot in place really well.

Sadly have to return.. Once i passed mid-fifties started to have less "padding" on bottom of my rather bony medium-narrow feet - foot pain due to suspected neuroma and plantar fascitis. I wanted to have something I could take long walks in on the beach and surf and these were waterproof. The base of the shoe did a great job keeping my foot from feeling shock and was comfortable. Took one long walk - I like to walk rapidly - when I got back, the straps had been rubbing (some sand may have gotten in) and my feet were bleeding in several places - not a matter of adjusting the straps - regular walking on them in the house was OK. My skin must be extra sensitive as well. This is not the right shoe for me and the right application - i will probably get out my old Merrels with a "thong" and soft leather with strap around the back that I walked in for hours all over with no pain - just did not want to get them wet. Before I do that, however, I am buying the surf shoes made by Speedo. I am not sure why, when i searched water shoes water sandals, etc etc - these did not come up in the search on Zappos the first time. My daughter actually told me about them and then I found them. I don't think the straps on this Teva product are overly comfortable if you have sensitive skin - soft leather is better. ALSO - after ONE use in the surf - the velcro on one of the straps started to peel back.

These sandals were immediately comfortable as soon as I put them on, so I kept them to use on a trip. I expected to need a sole with a good grip for a wide variety of terrain. At the last minute, I threw a pair of Keen Whisper sandals that I was not enamored with in my luggage as well (they look clunky to me), not being sure which pair would work the best. These being cuter, I wore these initially on my trip -- until I began slipping and sliding in them on wet stones outdoors and wet tile indoors. They scared me half to death. So switched to my Keen Whisper sandals and never had a concern for safety after that. In fact, I wore my Keen sandals constantly on the trip, they were so comfortable and I felt so stable in all kinds of situations. Back at home, I wear these Teva sandals as they are definitely comfortable and a good walking shoe. But I would not recommend them if you'll be anywhere that can be slippery when wet.

I bought these for a trip to the Amazon and Galapagos where I figure I will be in a lot of wet/water. I was desperate to love these. The adjustments in the front made them real nice for my wide feet. It was the strap over the ankle/instep that did me it. It doesn't reach forward to go over the instep, it cuts directly across where the foot bends and the tendon there is in constant battle with it. It left my instep numb and there was no place to adjust it that worked. Tight enough for non-flexed foot was too tight for a flexed foot, etc. Walking, which includes constant flexing, even when under no stress, like walking around the house was just impossible for me. Back they went.

I needed a pair of good water shoes for a summer vacation. These sandals are so comfortable, but they look much cuter online. In person the ankle strap is very bulky and the mid straps are also larger than I expected - not flattering at all. I wear a 10.5 and can usually get away with a 10, so ordered a 10 and 11. The 10 was definitely too small and the 11 was too large, but I could see how comfortable they were. It baffles me that a company making active outdoor shoes would not make half sizes after a size 9.5. The fit is critical to the performance - at this price point they need to fit properly and be at least moderately good looking, since these are neither they are going back.

Needed a pair of sandals to use for fishing and light hiking. However, my feet are too narrow for this shoe. If I put them as tight as they can go, I only have about a 1/4 of an inch of velcro holding the flap down. Going up and down slickrock, my foot slides around. For fishing the line gets caught up on the velcro flaps. BUT for just around town when I don't need them sinched down, they are a perfect cute shoe!

I was a little disappointed because I hoped these would mold to my foot. I always wear a nine, but these are long (didn't bother me until I'd worn them a while) and on the heavy side. Nice looking, though.

The ankle strap on this Teva rides high and is not adjustable. Not for someone with thick ankles. The footbed seems much narrower than the norm for Tevas.

Not enough arch support for my Plantar Fasciitis, so I have to return them. It seem all I can wear are Orthaheels, but their quality control is terrible. I read review of this product before I bought and some people with PF said these were great, I guess I just need higher arch support. But this is my first pair of Teva's and I have to say that they are made well and the materials are all comfortable.

These are comfortable enough, but I just cannot seem to get past the part of me that thinks the shoes are more directed at my mother than me. I kept them and will wear them periodically, but not when I want to be even the tiniest bit stylish. This is the opposite of the "cruel" shoes that Steve Martin talked about on "Saturday Night Live."

I had high hopes for this shoe - tried on a size 8 at a well-known shoe store, but it was a bit too small, and they didn't have an 8.5. So I ordered the 8.5 from Zappos and got the green since it was on sale. The shoe overall was almost perfect - but there was a small part of the main strap (going over the ankle) that slightly rubbed into my foot the wrong way. Maybe that's why the green was on sale. Sending this back. It might have been a bad batch - I may order this in a different color to see if it makes a difference. I have weird and picky feet!
