Love these sandals -- I am about to buy my second pair, my first lasting about three years. I have worn these walking and hiking all over the world, including a 17 mile hike in a river and they have been so comfortable and sturdy. Obviously you want proper boots for many types of hikes, but my feet get a little claustrophobic, so when I can get away with sandals, I do! These have been great for all types of terrain, wet and dry. My feet are two different sizes (a half size different), so these are awesome because they are so adjustable all over the foot. I normally wear a 7.5 and the 7 fits perfectly. Love these sandals!

This is the second pair of this style I have purchased. The first pair wore very well for about three years and I wore them every day in the summer!

I bought my first pair of Tevas (Tirra Slide) in January and was impressed by the comfort of the footbed, but needed something a bit more stable for serious walking. Now my feet object when I wear anything other than Tevas! The EVA footbed is so comfy that I could walk all day and never feel it. The style is definitely more sporty than fashionable, but the comfort factor far outweighs everything else.

I needed a waterproof sandal for gorge and waterfall hiking in our region and these are fantastic. They have excellent traction, your foot is kept firmly in place even on steep declines (and even when wet), and the support on the ankle and arches was super comfortable.

You don't even want to know how many sandals I tried, when replacing my old tried-and-true sandals that are no longer made. All the sandals I tried were higher end - $70-$130. These are the keepers! They are completely comfortable, right out of the box. They are adjustable to accommodate my bunions and wide feet, and have excellent arch support. I feel very stable and secure in these shoes - they don't slip on wet surfaces. My former favorites had a closed toe, but I like have the top open to show off my pedicure. The only thing I'd suggest is that Teva consider their colors. Many of these colors offered are awful! Let's get some nice earthy colors in the palette - maybe a faded kelly green, too. Teva is one of my go to brands for summer/outdoor activities. This is the second pair of Tirras I own. The 1st pair (black) I bought last year for a vacation touring Oregon wine country., Portland, & Seattle. Walked all day! Very supportive and not too un-stylishish:) Also the only shoe I've found to accommodate my foot after foot surgery 8 weeks ago!
