Teva runs wide . Good quality. Rugged sandal with good support.

This is my second pair of Tirra. Not sure I'm going to keep these because the straps are just barely long enough and make the fit tight. I normally prefer a wide width, but since that is not offered (why?) And my last pair was acceptable, so why the shorter straps?

I have had two bouts of Plantar fasciitis, so need good arch support. I am a size 7.5 by measurement, but already owned a size 8 in this sandal. I ordered size 7.5 and 8. I discovered why I had bought the size 8 a few years ago--the arch on the size 7.5 hits too far back, so does not give me the support I need. These sandals in a size 8 (for my 7.5 foot) have kept me symptom free. My only complaint is the non-breathing insole which tends to make my feet sweat and the tiny tracks that collect road dust that leaves my soles dirty. the insole is washable (I use water and a toothbrush), but it is a nuisance. That said, the whole sandal does well if it gets wet, and the support is tops. Also the Velcro on all the straps allows for a custom fit and room for socks in cool weather.

This would have been my 5th pair of Teva Tirras in about 7 years. I ordered the same size I have always ordered before and when they showed up I expected to put them on with no issues. Their sizing has changed (smaller). I held the old pair up to the new pair to compare and sure enough there are a marked difference in size between the two. Here's hoping the new size will still fit as great as the old ones have.

I've recently purchased 19 pairs of sandals from Zappos, and returned or will return most of them. I'm including this intro in all my reviews. First of all, thanks Zappos for your free shipping and free returns that allow me to have the equivalent of a personal shoe store. Second, I've discovered that my feet have become very sensitive, and I can't tolerate anything except shoes that are perfectly comfortable from almost the moment I first put them on. My left foot seems to be more sensitive than the right foot, especially to any lumps in the footbed. Third, and related to #2, even though I think thong sandals look great, I just can t handle the thong unless it's extremely soft. I consistently take a size 10M, my feet are what you'd call medium volume, and I have low arches. Teva Tirra - Much like the Teva Verra, I really liked these but the arch support in the left shoe was really uncomfortable although the right food felt fine. Great style, great fit and would be super comfortable if not for the left arch support, which I knew I would not be able to tolerate. I returned them.

The Tirra came with me to the beach and proved to be very walkable on both sand and stones. I've been wearing them around the house and there too they're comfortable. No break-in period needed because they are so adjustable.

The ankle strap is cut high and straight across, unlike the Pretty Leather 3 sandal. I couldn't seem to find the right fit no matter how many times I re-adjusted. Nice looking sandal though!

Got this shoe today to replace a much loved pair of Open Toachi sandals.They do seem pretty comfortable to wear. Lots of cushion. The arch support doesn't impress me. The strap going around the ankle is too high and feels slightly uncomfortable but maybe I will get use to it. I will agree with others who have complained about the length of the strap and the amount of velcro that is not covered. There is a good inch of it left out to see after putting the shoes on. I can see where wearing pants would not be a good idea as they would rub on the velcro all day long.

Normally I wear a 6.5, but it was a little too big. The 6 fits better. Adjusts to fit my wide feet comfortably. Love the cushioning. I think these will feel good on my feet after a long day of hiking.

The sizing was accurate, but the ankle strap was uncomfortable. I'm a fan of Teva sandals, but these missed the mark for comfort.

The strap(s) were too stiff and scratchy, so I returned these.

I have several pairs of these sandals, I wear them with everything! Today I received a new pair that seemed smaller than the standard 8 that I wear. The strap around the top of the foot didn't fit right and the shoe seemed smaller and more narrow than all my other 8's. I am hoping it's just a fluke, so I am exhanging them to see if it makes a difference.

The size was good and footbed very comfortable, but the ankle strap was a strange angle that just did not fit right and was uncomfortable.

One shoe fit perfectly, but the other *really* pinched under my ankle-bone. When I compared them side-by-side, it did look like the one had a slightly taller back piece than the other (but they're soft and curved so I might be wrong). Either way, I can't have only one shoe fit, so I had to return them.
