This is the Cadillac (or the Lincoln Town Car if you prefer) of sandals. The footbed is a bit soft or mushy, almost gel-like, yet still has great shape and arch support, which took about 15 minutes to get used to, then I was like, aaaaahhhh. It's a bit hard to describe, but very easy to wear. It's plenty adjustable, and the straps are super soft leather as well. I just finished a marathon of ordering, trying on and rejecting sandals, since I have high arches and need a lot of support, and these are the ones I kept. The sole is sturdy rubber underneath the soft top layer, so good for the stub factor and easily up to the most rigorous urban or trail walking. This is not the sandal I will be taking to the pool, and I will not be sloshing around in any rivers in it, but for my day to day summer wear, it doesn't get any better than this. And yes, at this price it's not for everyone, but if you have super picky feet and like a high arch combined with cushy comfort, buy these today. My one gripe is that they only come on snooze brown color, but I can't be picky with the feet I was given.

After a few minutes of walking in these the straps cut into my ankles and I needed bandages to keep wearing them the rest of the day. The arches are too high for me as well, but maybe those will break in.

I ordered this sandal for my husband inasmuch as his current pair were 9 years old and were ragged. He put them on and loved them instantly. They are very comfortable and fit him perfectly.

These are great sandals! All day comfort right away. Really good arch support that may cause a little discomfort until used to.

I am a woman with very wide feet, large bunions & lots of pain in the ball of the foot. It is very hard to find shoes that are wide enough & that also have good support and lots of cushioning. If you problems similar to mine, RUN don't walk to order these sandals before they are gone. I'm thinking about buying several more pain in case they stop making them! I'm so excited to have found these! I can't imagine anyone not loving these sandals.

This is the second pair for me. I wear sandals all year. These sandals are high quality and very durable. They fit well, and wear well. I like them and would recommend them. Zappos service is very good. I also recommend Zappos.

Probably the best feeling sandal I've ever used. Downside is that wear points around the perimeter after a few months of solid use. I've gone through two pair and now ordering a third. Much like some car tires, there may be a trade-off between wear and design intent, in this case, comfort.

Love these! A comfortable waterproof sandal, who woulda thunk. Teva combined with Zappos strikes again. Great product, great service as always and at lightning speed. Nice job Zappos, nice job!

A very comfortable sandal for those who have wide, high arched feet. In addition the foot bed is flexible and giving, perfect for everyday wear.

I love these sandals. Very comfy and I do lots of walking in them. I must add, the best part of buying anything from Zappos is their great customer service.

These are great sandals and they are comfortable, even with my bunions. My wife says they look good, a comment she has not made about some of my other footwear choices.

I've worn Tevas for over ten years, usually the Tanza. I decided to try the Obern to see if it was a better shoe. I like everything about it, except the insole. Instead of a smooth surface, there is a pattern stamped in it that just bugs me. It feels like there is sand or dirt under my foot. I'm getting used to it, but could certainly do sithout this distraction.

Outstanding construction, and materials, even the Velcro straps are stitched HD. The sole may look synthetic, but it is buttery leather, no odor at all, ever. I liked seeing the half size for a change in sandals, however they should be rounded up a half size, my 9 1/2 became a perfect, "10". The quality shows in person of the materials used. I am very happy, best Tevas I ever had, most expensive too! Of course still the best strap system, and these have the arch support of a sneaker; you can jog in these things! You actually get more than you pay for, but these are not for the budget minded.

I was a little reluctant because of the price. But since I could return for a full refund at no cost to me. I figured how could I go wrong. These are very comfortable. I love them. Fit perfectly. Great support.

I love these sandals. I was initially intimidated by bad reviews about break-in period. I did have a little trouble with the skin around my ankle bone getting roughed up a bit. But I didn't feel this was out of the ordinary. In fact, it might be a good idea to wear socks with these during break-in. Now that they are broken in, they are extremely comfortable. I love the style because it is casual, but looks nice enough to wear with khaki or linen pants for a summer party.

The arch is extremely good. The sandals are very comfortable and give great support. The sizing runs like athletic shoes (half size larger than than casual/dress shoes).

Wow, I ordered 1/2 size larger than usual and they fit my EEE feet well enough to use! They also have great arch support that is located in the right place so I can use them for long periods without orthotics. This is the 1st pair of sandals I could use this way.

The shoes have thick soles and provide great cushioning - the upper straps have a bit of an edge that I am having to break in - the upper straps could be better designed. However, I think this sandal is still one of the nicest ones I found.

Nice sandal overall. The footbed fits my husband's foot, but the straps over the instep and ball of foot are woefully short. Conclusion -- nice sandal but not for guys with a wide foot with a high instep. Will be going back to Zappos.
