We've only had this a couple of days, but we're very pleased at this time. One design element that I'd like to see changed is the polycarbonate on the lid and water level. I think it would be much classier and appealing if it was glass. Boils pretty quickly, even from cold water max fill. Much quicker than my previous stove top kettle (on gas). I like that I can have my French Press coffee at the correct boil temp and keep the water warm for the next pot.

As an avid tea drinker, I appreciate having a pot that can achieve the right temps for each type of tea. However, the fact that the "hold temp" feature operates only if one remembers to press the start button again after pouring a cup is annoying. I even wrote to Breville, thinking I had a defect. Also, mine came with a discoloration on the inside, bottom of the pot which I've again notified Breville about and am awaiting a reply. I only use bottle spring water and get mineral sediment, another unpleasant characteristic. However, this being my first, I have no other brand with which to compare.
