Excellent boot for the money and even better than some higher priced. Well made, good construction, non-slip pattern (which works very well, so far), pull tab very handy when donning, and best aspect is the boots just keep getting better looking with each wear. Great deal for what I expected. Actually, when I viewed online them they looked very different than when I opened the box. Didn't like them, too 'plastic' looking. Planned on sending them back. A few days went by and I gave them another chance. Still apprehensive and was going out in the weather (mud & rain) didn't want to expose my Birkenstock boots not having waterproofed them in quite a while. So, for the price, I figured I could use these as garage boots and just wear them. Well, surprise! They felt like slippers and looked actually very good with 501's. Wore them that day and was sold. These boots handled the job with nary a scratch or ding due to the quality leather. Feet didn't get wet (surprised) and stayed warm in the 47 degree rain. If you're used to Birkenstock or similar 'hard' boots/shoes, these may be too soft/spongy. I recently damaged my plantar moving using sneakers (duhhh) and went back to my Birk's with the high insole for comfort, which helps tremendously. Here's the best part about these Timberland boots - my Birk cork insoles fit perfectly inside so now they're serious boots given the exterior work-boot quality and the Birk insole. These boots have become a staple in my foot tool box. So much so, that I plan on getting a 2nd pair to give the first time to dry in between wears. Bad idea to wear same footgear several days without giving them a chance to dry. Great price, quality, build, workmanship, styling, safety (grip), support (with Birk insoles), and of course Zappos' dedication to customer service. Been using Z's for many years and there is simply not a better place to buy shoes! Michael

As others have reported, run about a half size large, so take that into account. Seem like a solid boot and they work well around here in the winter which tends to be cold, wet, and sloppy.

My Husband loved these in look and feel to my surprise as I felt they looked flimsy compared to his Old Havana Joe's. Highly recommended based on this.

Great shoe. Looks good and seems like good quality. Definitely go small. My regular size is 11 and I ordered a 10 1/2 and the fit is perfect. I also have width issues (corn) and this shoe fits.

I bought these boots for my husband who needed a solid, comfortable shoe to wear with business casual clothes or a suit, especially on cold or bad weather days in NYC when dress shoes just won't do. He says they're very comfortable and his orthotics fit perfectly. He's gotten sooo many complements and he absolutely loves them! As suggested by other reviewers I got a half size smaller than his normal size and the fit was perfect.

My size for most shoes is 12D, but I decided to order a half size smaller based on reviews, and the boots fit perfectly. Very comfortable and good arch support. Also, has a fairly roomy toebox (important for diabetics).

Very comfortable from the first wearing. They are my daily work shoes and are easily cleaned with a wipe or two. Hint: Much easier to get on with a boot hook!

So far these are good boots. The winter has not quite hit yet so we will see. So far, though, I am very impressed. These are a little bigger than I anticipated.

These boots are very comfortable for long hours on the job, and are holding up well so far, but are not quite as slip resistant as I had hoped. Compared to other brands of slip resistant shoes I have tried, the extra comfort and durability are a worthwhile trade-off. They are also far more stylish than the majority of the other slip resistant shoes I've worn over the years. They do feel a bit large for the size, but that may be because I ordered the wide width. Considering all that, I would certainly buy these again.

Timberland offers a high standard for quality boots. the Demi boot did not disappoint. It is a very sharp boot that I imagine will last a user a long time. The leather is deep and rich with just enough gloss to get away as semi-formal and also work for any dressy casual event. I really do love this boot, unfortunately had to return it b/c my 4E wide sized feet couldn't fit into the 2E size. I do have other Timberland work boots in W(2E) but have worn them in over time, didn't know if this kind of leather would show as well with the stretching.

Great shoe. I wear a size 15 athletic shoe and usually one size smaller in boots. These fit great. They are a little loose at the tops, but that's probably because they don't lace up which I've not had in a boot before. Overall they look good in pants or jeans and they are super comfortable.

Can't say enough about the shoe and it's just great. Be careful of the sizing though. I wear a size 12 in every other brand I know (Adidas, Nike, Aldo, Aasics), but in Timberland it's size 11. Get this shoe, just order a size smaller than normal.

Shoes are nice looking. Pretty comfortable after breaking them in for a week. I would buy again but the sole is very squeaky. It's hard to sneak up on anyone if you're walking on tile.

I love these boots. Great with a nice pair of jeans and a button up shirt and tie. I look forward to using them in the winter here in Colorado. My only concern is the elastic on the side of the shoe. It's definitely not water proof but I think it will still work good for milder snowy days.

These are the most comfortable boots I've ever worn in my life, they feel a little big for Timberlands because the Pro's I always wear fit a half a size small, but these run a little big which is great because I usually wear a 16 or a 15 wide but these are great. I want to order a second pair but they're not in stock.

A casual shoe with enough appeal to pull off in dress situation, the Timberland Pro Five Star does well to provide amazing comfort and fit while still maintaining a level of support and style we all look for.

These are very similar to the slip-on type Chukkas that Timberland used to make under its general (i.e. not "Pro") brand. They seem to try to chase the styling of the moment there but these are cleaner and more classic looking. I just wish they made them in brown as well as black.

These were purchased to replace an older pair, quality and workmanship were much better on the older ones. Originals made in Wash. new ones in China and it shows; would not buy again.
