This is sturdy, well made nylon travel bag that folds up easily and I always pack it in my luggage as an extra bag for presents, etc. when traveling. It has four outside zippered pockets allowing quick access to passports or other travel docs and a separate 7x9 inch zippered pouch which I find very handy for smaller items I wish to keep together in my carry on.

Exactly the lightweight weekend bag I was looking for. The zippers are especially great, and the bag sort of folds into itself when it's on you if it isn't full - which helps it not be an awkward shape. It's a little pricey, but my friends and family have had LeSportsac for over 10+ years without problems...so I guess it is an investment!

This bag was purchased for hats and bathing suits -- just the things needed when getting on a cruise ship. The bag easily held my husband's and my hat (mine with a 6" brim!), our bathing suits, 2 sets of flip flops (his size 13), cover-ups, sunscreen sprays, iPads, chargers, and two beach towels. The only things missing were the margaritas and the cruise ship handled that well!

Excellent quality bag for weekends, and more. Has 4 outside zippered pockets, one in each end and each side, and a detachable shoulder strap. Also comes with matching makeup pouch bag that is plenty roomy. Highly recommend for durability, lightweight alternative to a suitcase.

I love this bag; very light, roomy, and stylish (I ordered the black patent) - I hate to send it back, but I need a carry-on that will fit under the seat in front of me, and this is too big. So sad.

I love this bag so much! This is my go to when I'm traveling anywhere. I've packed for up to 11 days in this bag including shoes and other necessities and it serves me well. It's the perfect carry-on for plane travel as well. The strap is sturdy so it is mostly comfortable to hang on your shoulder. It's also a lot smaller than it seems. Ahh the wonders of this bag! Can't praise it enough!

This bag is the perfect weekender size. The pattern is not outlandish and it is very sturdy. I especially like the nylon material so it is easy to keep clean.

This is the perfect gym bag for me. I was struggling with a smaller bag because I often need to fit a couple workout outfits plus 2 pairs of sneakers in my bag, and my previous duffel was too small. This bag fits so much. The small makeup/accessory bag that comes with it is great to hold my headbands, ponytail holders, deodorant, etc. The duffel also has a lot of pockets (on each end and both sides) and the straps are great (short handles plus the long adjustable shoulder strap). I am thrilled with this bag.

Loved it. Perfect for a three day weekend in Sonoma. The snake skin print is a little too Dallas Cheerleader Mom for me, if you will, but still pretty cool. Bag feels strong and secure.

I love this bag! I actually use it as a diaper bag! Upon the birth of my second child my old diaper bag was just not big enough. It could not fit everything that I needed when I was out of the house with my two boys. Between a change of clothes for each, water, bottles, burp clothes, bibs, snacks, clothes and toys, my 'diaper' bag was over flowing. I usually wound up bringing two or three bags with me wherever we went. This bag is light enough to only hold the bare essentials and fit anywhere. In fact, I took my old diaper bag changing pad and put all the 'changing' materials in one of the front pockets. But this bag is also big enough to hold everything you need for two children for an all day party or outing. It also holds anything I need as well - wallet, keys, sunglasses, etc. Bonus feature - when the kids out grow it, I can still use it as a weekender bag!

Great bag. I purchased this to use as a carry-on. I'd also ordered the medium version and the non-patent black, but I returned the others and kept this one. I haven't used it yet, but the size is perfect for a carry-on (max. TSA-allowed size, or close to at 22 in. across). I'll be using this for a week-long trip, and I always overpack, but I think I should be able to fit all my stuff in here. The black patent is simple without being boring. Can't wait to use this bag!

This is an excellent quality weekender bag. Very roomy and well-built. I purchased this particular size to hand carry a home-made, queen size quilt to a wedding. I rolled the heavy quilt up like a jelly roll and it fit room to spare. Worked like a charm and protected the quilt, even though I wound up having to check it as luggage. Sailed through the flight and baggage handlers perfectly. I strongly recommend this bag for sheer strength and durability. Excellent! Also, very cute with embroidered pink flowers reminiscent of the '60s. Love it!

Great weekender bag! Several different compartments for smaller items/toiletries. Very easy to wash, and durable.

Love this bag. Bought it as a carry on to use for my trips around Europe this summer. It's the perfect size in that it's not too big (was even okay with Ryanair!) but it can still fit 2-3 days worth of stuff and still have a bit of room left over. I personally don't like LeSportsac's prints, so the black patent was perfect. There are a few visible scuff marks here and there, but that's to be expected with a traveling bag. As others have noted, my only complaint is that the strap isn't padded. It gets really uncomfortable to carry around, even if it's not very heavy. Completely worth every penny, however. Buy it!

Great carry on! I could pack a lot more than I thought. Light weight, but tough material and well made. I like the feature of top zippers can be pulled from either direction. Can be rolled up compactly, too. I am glad I found this bag!

Perfect bag for two night stay at hospital. The room was tight and I didn't have space for rolling luggage. Will use for weekend trips and loan to daughter for sleepovers. Love the zippered pockets and quality weather resistant material. Can't go wrong with LeSportsac! 4 stars for comfort because I wish it had a shoulder pad. 4 stars for style because I ordered a sale item which wasn't my first choice pattern.

Excellent LeSportsac quality as always. Bag is light and easy to carry - I use this for my 4 day business trips.

I have had a medium weekender for more than 15 years and it is still the most useful travel and all-around bag I have ever owned. I can fit enough in it to travel for 2-3 days and It also serves as my gym bag. I bought the large weekender for those few times when I need more than 2-3 days of clothes for a trip. The large weekender is perfect...it holds more than I could ever wear. The shoulder strap is adjustable and that is important to me since I am quite short. The carry handles are comfortable. If this lasts as long as the medium one has, I know I have all my travel needs covered for the foreseeable future.

This is the perfect weekend bag. Great size for lots of stuff, and I love the four separate compartments on each size. Definitely worth the money, I can tell this will last me for a long time. No complaints.

I'm mad I waited so long to buy this bag! It's perfect for a quick weekend trip (which is what I bought it for initially). However, it is extremely awesome as a gym bag. It has 4 easy-access side pockets, and plenty of space to hold your stuff. Great quality bag.

Much like a patent shoe, this shiny black duffel brings an over the shoulder bag to another level. I use this for business travel when all I need is a quick change of clothes. I've also used this bag as a secondary travel bag for jackets and extra shoes. Well worth the price, would recommend to others.

LeSportsac Large Weekender in Black This bag is lightweight and it has a lot of compartments, but in person, the fabric has a wrinkly appearance to it. In photos, the bag looks sturdy and smooth, but I guess since it s supposed to be foldable and lightweight, wrinkles are a given. It can fit a lot of items, and I love that the cross body strap is removable. The bag also comes with a zippered pouch for smaller items.

Very nicely made. A good size for overnight, but I wouldn't call it a "large weekender." Not for what I take on a weekend trip, anyway!

Like others, I agree that the lining needs to have something to it. The black hole feel is a real thing. And I also agree that I'm not a fan of all Lesportsac patterns, but I have this bag in patent black and in the cheetah print that was out for a bit. They both have a chic but casual feel. I've used both for airline travel and weekend/road trip travel. I've found with airline travel, it fits well for the overhead with no problems, and for a shorter girl like myself - it's much easier to lift up than a suitcase! The strap is uncomfortable after a bit. There is a certain luxury wheeling your bag around, but a simple little investment in a velcroed shoulder pad (if you ever go to trade shows, I know companies who give them away as freebies!) helps that a lot. With the airlines tightening up on their sizing, I would suggest this bag or at least having this bag with you if they tell you your carry-on suitcase is a no-go. I also suggest if you switch to this bag, you buy a set of packing cubes. I've found the cubes help give the bag some shape and form, and keeps the wide open black space a little more organized! I don't use the outside pockets, so the cubes help me to keep my clothes, shoes, and toiletries while keeping everything safe from the other (liquid, shoe bottoms, etc). I also like the cubes because when you travel with this bag you don't want to open it and shuffle around in it and your personal items going everywhere. This is a great bag to have in your traveling arsenal. Do yourself a favor!

I am now in love with this brand, and all of the purses they make are simply awesome, being that they are washable and lightweight (as is this bag) but this particular larger bag is going back. No, they're not Gucci fashionista, but the durability and practicality of them is unbeatable. This was a nice larger bag, and might be good for someone who doesn't mind paying this much for a lightweight travel bag, or if you are traveling and need to pack a bag within your larger suitcase, this would be the perfect bag for you, being that you can fold it up to very small and wash it later too...but for my own purposes and occasional beach or road trips, I chose a Nike Brasillia instead. The Nike bag was much less expensive and seemed more practical as it has a wet/dry storage, a place for your dirty shoes, and a water-resistant bottom too. But LeSportsac is awesome!
