These are my most favorite shoes - ever! I have bunions and hammer toes and need a good arch. This shoe supports all three and then some. The unexpected treat is that there is something about the stretch material that feels stimulating. At the end of a long work day, I don't take them off! I do walking at my job and love the way my feet and legs feel, but I can't assess for someone who does mostly standing. As for looks, I can say that my goal was to find the best looking orthopedic shoe that wasn't the typical ortho shoe. I knew I liked them with slacks/jeans, but was pleasantly surprised when several of my coworkers commented (without prompting) on my "cute shoes". Size-wise, I wear an 8-8.5 and ordered size 39 (described as a 8.5-9). It's slightly roomy but I didn't want tight shoes. I'm satisfied with the size. I also bought two other Arcopedico styles and am not quite as thrilled. If you only buy one pair because you want (to paraphrase another poster) "the shoes God had in mind when he created feet...", I would highly recommend these. Thanks to Zappos, too for insanely speedy delivery, free shipping, and for having so much fun with your communications. You all rock, too! I'm a very satisfied customer!

If you have trouble wearing a closed shoe -- they rub your toes, they rub in the back, they aren't wide enough at the front of your foot -- then buy these shoes! They're the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn! You will love them!

These were really great looking and comfortable. Then I wore them a few times, and they stretched out so much, they will not stay on my feet. They're very poorly designed as a functional shoe.

These are my second pair of Arcopedico ES shoes and I love them. Very comfortable, good arch support, and long lasting. I've had my first pair for several years and they show very little wear. I am very active and travel a lot. These shoes are wonderful for travel as they are lightweight, easy on and off, great to wear when flying as they comfort your feet and accommodate any swelling. They are surprisingly warm for the knitted body of the shoe. The shoe's only draw back is that it is not water resistant. I wear a 7.5 and the 38 fit perfectly. Great comfy and good looking shoe; fits true to size. Had to share a story tho--I tried these on in a store while traveling and couldn't decide whether to get them. Subsequently ordered from Zappos (they came the next day of course) and tried them on. Funny, they don't feel the same, sort of stiff in the front foot. They had a layer of plastic packing inside the top of the shoe that you can't see or feel til you try them, so beware and take it out! Great walking shoe once the cardboard's out.

I absolutely love these shoes (and so does everyone who sees me wearing them), and now have 5 colors. They are so comfortable and stylish, I can wear them with socks and and long pants in the winter, or no socks with shorts or a casual dress in the summer. My husband doesn’t know how much they cost or how many I have. ??

I am loving this shoe. It is very comfortable and looks nice enough to wear with dresses and skirts even though it is a sports shoe. The shoes will be great on an upcoming trip, as they will be easy to take on and off in airport security, as well as feeling like bedroom slippers during he plane ride. I ordered a second pair after I got the first I liked them so much.

Super comfortable. Great for all day wear. I have hammer toe plus bunions, and these worked great plus sole was thick enough to provide extra walking comfort. Being I return more shoes than I keep. I just had to write a review for these!

These are one of the most comfortable shoes I own. They are my second pair of Arcopedico shoes. I really like how the foot bed molds and supports my foot. And they are fashionable and I plan to wear them with pants, capris, leggings and maybe a skirt.

This shoe is so comfortable you think you are wearing slippers! They are equally comfortable with or withbout trouser socks; and especially comfortable if you do a lot of walking. Men seem to notice when I am wearing this style and they always say how nice they are.

If you want pure comfort these are the shoes for you. These are my second pair of these. I also have them in black.

I found these in a store and had to have them. Sorry I didn't buy them here but I suggest everyone does. they are adorable and amazingly comfortable and at a great price. They are just so comfortable with so much support and so cute. I look forward to buying more here at Zappos as the price is slightly better.

Good enough comfortable shoe, but I had to return the one I bought because it didn't fit true to size (it was way too big).

This shoe isn't the prettiest shoe in town, but it's very comfortable. I have flat feet and a high arch so I have difficulty finding a shoe that fits well. This one was comfortable right out of the box. Thank you Zappos!

Bought these for my 95-year-old mother who has a wide foot with bunions and hammer toes and has trouble finding any shoes that are comfortable. She liked these very much and found them to be very comfortable.

This is a nice looking and easy to get on shoe. The stretchy material is great for my bunion and hammer toe. I bought both this style and the style ( Neoclassic LS) with the lace up top. I kep the lace up and returned these ( they have an elastic insert over the top of the foot.) It felt like I could better controll the fit and tightness with the laces. The foot bed is a bit narrow on both of these styles for my wide feet, but good enough to work for me. The sole is flexible and non slippery. With Zappo's generous return policy, I would recommend trying both of these styles.

Happy to report I'm very satisfied with these comfort shoes. I will be keeping them. I love the purple color, and think they kinda funky cool looking. *Now for the important info: I had a bad fall 8.5 months ago - from a ladder. Shattered my right knee & really messed up my right leg. Also fractured 2 vertebrae. I was 'non weight bearing' for almost 3 months. So suffice to say, I REALLY needed some new shoes for various things - that really gave me good support & comfort too. The arch support on these are great for me, as I have a high instep. The stretchy fabric allows for continued comfort when my foot begins to swell from too much activity. I'll be wearing these for light outdoor errands. But they're so comfortable, that I have a feeling they'll be a good indoor shoe too. If they hold up, who knows, I may buy a second pair. Now I just hope the support slippers I ordered are as successful of a purchase. Hope this helps someone else. Cheers!

I love these shoes. Very comfortable. They are definitely roomier than the tie up ones I was wearing. And so happy to get purple since 3/4 of my wardrobe is purple. Not necessary to wear an arch support since they have a good arch.

I love these shoes! I am not really a big fan of shoes, and would actually prefer to go around barefoot if I could. Because of this, I was wearing some flats (Toms) that provided zero support, but were so comfy it felt like I was barefoot. Little did I know that going without arch support was actually hurting my legs and feet. I started having problems with pain in my legs and couldn't walk for long stretches without a lot of pain. Somehow, I figured out it was an arch support issue, and started looking online for a more appropriate work-shoe that was still comfortable, but offered some support. After reading many reviews, I decided to try these...love them! And started noticing a difference right away in being able to walk further with no pain! Unfortunately for me...my dog decided to steal one, and make a chew toy out of it...I was so upset! And immediately hopped online and purchased a second pair. I don't normally purchase shoes this expensive but I didn't hesitate to replace these because I like them that much! Now I have two pair...one with my dog's signature chew-holes, and a brand new pair.

I LOVE this shoe! Had to exchange for a smaller size, but now that I know how they fit, I will definitely buy them again. So comfortable, with unobtrusive Ninja style.

I have great difficulty finding shoes that are comfortable, but these are the shoes I have been looking for. They are very comfortable and you can wear them with or without socks.

Love the shoe. Very creative to make a shoe that is comfortable, has good arch support and is washable. But for me, the toe box is too small :(

-PROs: True to size, extra elastic stretch on the uppers accommodate swelling, fit over AFO brace,, neutral navy shade, thicker soles without looking too sporty or dowdy, removable insoles, stretch still has some support and structure, fabric knit is smooth and seamless., hand washable, fold down for storage/travel, easy to put on for those with hand mobility issues, versatile, good soles for balance and comfort, ok price -CONS: not very chic or even quirkily cool, but better than the dumpy clunky alternatives or old man sneakers for people with tricky feet. The knit is quite large which lends to the chunky slipper look. Probably not a wet or cold weather shoe for outdoors. Bottom line: If you have an AFO brace, ankle fusion, bunions, bone spurs, hammer toes, or feet that swell, order a size up and fry these shoes. 9/10 recommend! I bought my pair from a retailer that shares its name with with a S. American River.

The knit fabric is way too loose to keep my my foot firmly in the shoe. My foot slides side to side and my heel comes out of the shoe.
