I was looking for a dark brown riding boot that I could walk to work in but was also streamlined enough for the workplace...this fits the bill! Most people will find these comfortable enough, but I have very flat feet that are not well cushioned, so I had to put comfort inserts in the boots. Note: There is little to no arch support. But with the cushioning I added, the boots are definitely suitable for casual city walking and office wear. I have a similar pair in black (different style) that are more fitted around the ankle -- this style tends to run a bit larger around the ankle. Overall, I love the look of these boots, especially the imprinted design on the side and the extra leather embellishments. They are tall, although could be taller. As far as sizing is concerned, these definitely run a half-size larger than you would think. I usually take a 7 1/2 but had to send them back for a 7 -- and even with the 7 I have room for thin cushiony inserts. I did an easy over-the-phone exchange and it was a breeze...Enjoy!

I love these boots; they fit great, look good and with all the snow we have been getting, keep my legs warm.

I was quite surprised when I first laid eyes on these boots. They look more expensive than they are. The leather is of excellent quality and the interior is lined with a soft chamois type fabric. I ordered the cognac which is deep, orange-brown, just like in the photo. I usually buy black boots so this is a departure for me. I wouldn't keep them if I thought the color was too garish. In terms of comfort, my heel doesn't slide and the toe box is roomy enough so that my toes don't feel squished. The one downfall in this shoe is that the footbed has absolutely no cushioning. However, the shoe has enough room that I might be able to squeeze in my insoles. I wear a 9.5 and the 9.5 fit me perfectly. I recommend putting a protectant on them as the leather does scruff. Overall, I'm very pleased with this brand.

Classic, but uncomfortable - Love the look of these boots. The leather and detailing are top notch, but I'm returning them. They have no cushioning or arch support and the traction is minimal so they won't do for normal urban walking, especially in Seattle winters where there's always the possibility of slipping when chasing after a bus.

Overall, this is a good looking boot if you are looking for a more casual riding style. It has nice looking leather and details (although I could have done without the big embossed Aigner symbol on the sides). My main problem with these boots is that there is virtually no padding in the foot bed and very little arch support. I have had stress fractures in the balls of my feet so this won't do. I am returning them. They do run big, so order down half a size.

Disappointed in these. Very pretty, but very little arch support, and the calf circumference seems much wider than the 13.5" listed. I also found them to be unattractively wide at the ankle. Not for those with very thin legs.

First of all, Zappos truly surprised me received these boots in one day. However, I have thin calves that measure 13 and 1/2. I was so happy to come across such a well made boot that met my requirements, but when I tried them on they were much wider at the calf than stated on website. They overall look great; also the quality of leather is excellent. Just unhappy that they are loose in my calf.
