With a foot deformity caused from bunions it is almost impossible to find shoes that are comfortable. I have tried every name brand orthopedic shoe, but they are all too stiff and too hard. I took a chance ordering these because they do not come in a EE width. Due to the fact that the uppers are made of stretchy fabric I am able to wear these shoes. They are really a C-D width and an EE would have been more comfortable, but I can wear these fairly comfortably. They are actually cuter than the photo and the golden-bronze goes with everything. I only wish Arcopedico would make their shoes in an EE width. I also ordered the leather shoe Scala and it has buttery soft leather...just what I needed, but it just wasn't wide enough. I just love their selection of styles and colors. Orthopedic shoes come in black and tan...period. Frumpy styles and ugly. I am going to write the main office of Arcopedico and beg them to make their shoes in EE widths.

This is a first for me. Finally a pair of shoes that feels great right out of the box. I really struggle trying to find shoes that do not hurt my feet. Not only are these very comfortable, they weigh almost nothing and will be perfect for taking on trips. They squish down for packing so they take no more space in luggage than an extra pair of insoles. They feel like slippers, but with a good sole. They also will accommodate any inserts, if you want extra padding. My feet love these shoes!

Love these! They just fit a little small - usually I wear a 39, but in this style I need a 40. The fabric has worn nicely even though in the past two weeks I've been caught in a rainstorm and easily walked 10 miles in them already. Every pair of Arcopedicos I've owned has been great, and these are no exception.

I love these shoes. They do run small. I wish I had gotten 2 sizes larger instead of one size larger since I use orthotics.Zappos is the best!

Very comfortable - stretchy top. The ankle was rubbing, but I put in some ankle padding, and it is fine.

I was very disappointed in the quality of this shoe and promptly returned it. The shoe looks great if you are a person who barely walks, but the quality was comparable to a cheap "Payless"-type shoe with skimpy plastic soles. There's no way this shoe is worth this price or even half. I returned them and bought a pair of Keen Mary Janes (for less) which I know will hold up to a person who doesn't live in a chair or driving in a car, but who regularly uses her feet.

Arcopedico is such a hidden gem of a brand. Yes, on first inspection of these shoes, they don't look like all that much. I understand why reviewers sometimes comment that Arcopedicos look "cheap" or feel like they are poor quality. However, I have found that the few pairs of Arcopedicos I own just last and last, even longer than many expensive leather shoes! They are simply great quality. And they offer plenty of vegan styles! I appreciate how lightweight these L18s are. I purchased a 37/7 in the Anthracite faux suede colorway and they are TTS. I don't think they look like real suede by any means, but that is not an issue for me personally. The Anthracite color has a slightly bluish undertone, definitely not a neutral or warm gray. My only wish is that the vamp didn't come up so high on the foot -- they look a little less feminine because of it. But the fact that they are super practical and washable overshadows any kind of complaint I might have about them otherwise. They remind me of a lightweight, sportier version of the Naot Matai, if that's a shoe you like.

When buying, consider getting 1-2 sizes larger than you normally get. I'm usually a 9.5-10.5 and had to get the 11-11.5 size (or the European 42 size). But thanks to Zappos free returns, this was not a big deal. I did add a foot insert to make the shoe fit just right, and now I can wear it all day. It's very comfortable and I like how flexible the top material is. And the velcro makes it easy to wear.

I bought this shoe following major foot surgery. It was soft, stretchy and the perfect shoe for me. I bought a larger size because of the swelling in my foot, but the velcro strap helped hold the shoe in place on the non surgery foot!

My new favorite shoe! I love this shoe - picture does not do it justice, it's really cute. I thought it would be too old lady-ish, but it's not at all. Very soft and immediately comfortable - didn't want to take them off. I'm all ready considering ordering a spare pair!.

Very comfortable and soft, but not very good on cobblestones due to the thin sole. I put an inner sole into it and it was much better.

A practical shoe, not too ugly, lightweight, not much to it. The sole is quite thin but you could easily insert your own insole for more support or cushioning. I have a very wide foot, and the toe box on these is very generous, so I kept them even though I'm not in love with them. I have worn them some - they do go with just about anything. I would avoid wearing them on a wet day, I think they would get really soggy. These would be ideal shoes to carry along if you needed something to wear indoors after you change out of your boots or sneakers. They would make good travel shoes. They're not the shoes you want to walk in all day long, but the ones you want the rest of the time.

I got these shoes because I travel a lot and wanted Mary Janes for airports and flights. It is also a plus that these are waterproof. They are so comfortable - like bedroom slippers! Some of the reviewers said the shoes were not attractive, but I like the style. They are very funky looking and will be cute with jeans and leggings. You can see the glue a bit around some of the seams near the toe box, but just a bit. They don't seem to have a ton of cushioning, so I won't use them for long walks.

I intended to re-order this shoe in 9.5. Loved the feel of the shoe, it was just too short. Let's try again. Thanks.

Based on other reviews, I ordered one size larger. But that turned out to be too large - I'd say this fits true to size. My usual size fit very well (once I reordered down a size). These are very stretchy and comfortable.

I wanted to love these shoes but you could see my toes through the material and I was afraid they might eventually poke through. Perhaps the next larger size would work. I normally wear a 10 1/2. They're light weight and flexible so if you want to run around and feel like you're walking on air, you should try these ballet flats.

This fabric is very forgiving because it's so thin and delicate, it makes room for my bunions. That makes it absolutely worth the cost. But by the same token, only a week after starting to wear them, they're already looking worn and I wonder how long they'll last.

The shoes were actually cuter than I thought they would be. The fabric is soft and velvety. I ordered the olive color, and they ARE olive green. They are NOT TAN as they appear in the pictures provided. (I did ask this question before ordering, and was told they are more brown than green. Not true) Also, the fabric is NOT STRETCHY as described. I have bunions and need wide shoes, so the stretchy fabric was what I was looking for. It was hard to get my foot through the not stretchy opening, but once I got them on they felt pretty good. I wore them all day, shopping and running errands. When I got home my feet hurt. Probably would be ok for short duration, but these are NOT an all day on your feet a lot kind of shoe.

This is a darling shoe, but even when I ordered up two sizes, it felt like my toes were sticking out of the top of the shoe. This is the same issue others had with this shoe, which is unfortunate, because it is so cute.

I almost returned these shoes because it sounded like I was walking on tissue paper in the soles out of the box. However, they are crazy comfortable with nice arch support and very soft flexible leather. I struggle finding shoes that work for my weird feet. I had a bunionectomy last year and need to do the other foot too. Also I have high arches. The arch support is moderate to excellent. I use orthopedics but don’t need them with these shoes and my feet aren’t killing me after a long day between working in kindergarten and going to grad school at night. I kept them in hopes the sound would dissipate with use. I’ve worn them a couple of times and it has become more subdued and isn’t as noticeable throughout the day at work. Also I usually don’t do this, but I’ve worn them without socks after only one use. No blisters or discomfort or even sweaty smelly feet/shoes at the end of the day which I’m not exactly sure how that happened. Perhaps I got lucky that time and won’t be so the next. Don’t care! Kind of miracle shoes in my opinion! Worth the money ?? Glad I took the leap of faith.

While I would have liked this shoe to be a WEE bit longer, the style and comfort convinced me to keep these shoes. I have tried several of this style and was disappointed, so I ordered these with skepticism. However, once I put them on I wanted to love them because they were so cute and comfortable. Even if I only use them for special occasions and for short lengths of time, I am glad I got them.

These shoes are so comfortable. I love that I can wear them dressy or casual. I love them!

Amazing, light, comfortable shoe! Roomy, runs wide... feels like a house slipper! I have never bought this brand before and this shoe has me SOLD. I am coming back for another pair in a different color. They are fantastic. They have enough support for me, but they are not as supportive as Therafit shoes. But the lightness, the flex, free my feet! Thanks Zappos and Arcopedico!

These shoes fit really well and I really like the style. I got theses shoes to have something to wear on long flights and they’re perfect for that due to their adequate width and on and off ease. Admittedly they are not attractive but are very cute in a funky way. Since they are vegan and water repellent they can be worn when it’s raining and get washed in the machine when they need it.
