I got these shoes in the denim color. I thought they were very cute, but the heel slipped with every step. I got the 39 and I normally wear an 8.5. The size was right, I just couldn't tighten the laces enough to make the heel work. The sole of the shoe seems very thin.

I love, love, love, this shoe! The style is the kind of “different” that I like to wear. I have wide feet and after reading the reviews I saw that some people with wide feet could wear them. So I decided to try. It wasn’t too bad, but the plastic pieces that form the arch support was very uncomfortable. I don’t think I could have made it work, Too bad. I hope this company will consider making a wide shoe.

I wish these shoes would have worked for me because they are adorable. Just not the right fit for my wide, high arched feet.

I was looking for a black sneaker-type shoe that I could wear back and forth to work that would be comfortable and look a little nicer with my work clothes. I found this brand through an article stating that this brand designs shoes to provide comfort and could help calm neuromas. I was so happy when this shoe seemed to answer both needs and at first fit and formed so easily to my feet. It didn't take much walking though to learn there just simply is not enough base or support to suit my needs. Sadly, they are being returned.

This is my second review for this style and correlates to the second pair of shoes I bought. First pair I rated 5 stars in every category. However, the second pair is a half size smaller than the first, though I ordered the same size. Unfortunately, I didn't realize this when I bought them a couple of months ago and only wore them recently for the first time. I thought they might be okay, but got blisters after wearing them. I contacted Arcopedico to see if there was a recommended way to stretch them out a little after explaining the size difference. They indicated they don't recommend it and that I should buy the next size up. I expect that size would be too big and as the issue is fluctuating sizing with the shoes it doesn't address the issue. I'm also a bit bummed over throwing $100+ away. I'm writing this as a warning to anyone who loved the first pair they bought and want to buy other colors - sizes may vary!

Pros:Very lightweight shoe, knit upper feels good across top of foot. cons: sole is a hard plastic, my concern is that it will be slippery in wet conditions. Also that same sole is the arch "support" for the shoe. I was sensitive to this hard sole directly under my arch. The comfort from the shoe came from the material at the top but otherwise the shoe was not comfortable to me.

The Bordeux colored arcopedicos were utterly darling. They were more like a slipper than a shoe. No support for foot for walking really. Sad to send back but I need much more support from a shoe. All style no substance.

Meh. Bad fit overall - the fabric on top stretches too funnily when I walk, even when the sole fits perfectly well. Looks weird, and isn't all that comfortable!

I bought a pair of Arcopedico shoes several years ago and wore them almost every day. I was excited to find them available at Zappos, however, I ordered the same size and the medium width is still too wide. And there seems to be no arch support. I hate to return them because I love the look but they are just not comfortable.

These were really disappointing. I have problem feet (bunions, need for significant arch support) and these shoes didn't work at all. The arch support isn't enough, the soles are nothing special. The stretchy fabric is good for bunions and other foot problems, but you can find that in other footwear (or buy wider sizes). Obviously these work for other people, but if you really need strong arch support I'd look elsewhere. At least I can cross this brand off my "want to try" list.

The back of the shoe is weirdly low. It does not come up to the natural curve in the ankle like most shoes do. Can't imagine how they'd ever be comfortable.

They weren't as cute or as comfortable as I expected. I have neuropathy and have trouble finding comfortable shoes.

Such a cute shoe, but it is cut so low around the heel that it won’t stay on. Had to return.

My main issue with these shoes are the insoles which immediately bunched up inside both shoes after only a few minutes of walking. And the process repeated each time I took them off to straighten out the insoles. I suppose the problem might be fixed if I buy fabric glue and permanently attach the insoles myself - but I think the shoes are pricey enough that one would expect the manufacturer to take care of the issue before shipping to customers.

I wear a 9.5 and have a narrow, low-volume foot. I ordered this in the 9.5 and my toe touched the fabric at the end. Also, my heel extended beyond the base of the shoe. This shoe is basically a knit slipper upper with a sole. It has no support in the upper part of the shoe. It was also a little wide for me. The laces were cinched all the way--nowhere left to go, should it stretch out, and I would bet it would stretch significantly.

Back they go. Even laced so tightly so that the sides meet together this shoe cant be laced tightly enough to hold my foot in. very squishy and unstable feeling. Also, no cushion at all under the ball of the foot. Weird shoe Back they go.

I was looking for a comfortable pair of walking shoes for home and travels in Europe. I thought these shoes might offer great support for long term walking, however that is not the case for me. The shoes loosen after just a short amount of walking so I can't get them tied tight enough. The fabric is porous so one light rain and the feet are soaking. There is no arch support. I'm back to the drawing board!

I feel like I must have received completely different shoes than what everyone else is describing. I thought they were quite uncomfortable, with essentially no support. The sole is thin and you can feel every little bump in the floor/ground through them. There is absolutely no padding under the ball of the foot. I stuck my hand in and verified that the only thing between the ball of your foot and the hard plastic (or whatever) sole is a thin layer of fabric. There's an odd lump under the heel that is probably supposed to be cushioning but doesn't feel like it does it. To top it all off, my feet got cold while I sat at my desk in my very warm office. I don't get it - I was excited for the comfy shoes in fun colors all the other reviewers are raving about, but these just weren't that at all for me.
I'd also recommend:

Really disappointed. Uncomfortable footbed and at least one half size small. I figured they would stretch like my other Arcopedicos and have worn them two weeks. No better now than day one though the toe box does show my toe imprints!

The style was outstanding. The comfort/fit the most uncomfortable "comfort" shoe I have ever tried on. The arches on both shoes literally cut into the arch of the foot and can not take even one step without maximum discomfort!

I'm disappointed in these shoes. The heel is extremely hard and made it very uncomfortable to walk or stand for any reasonable amount of time. After wearing them to work (teacher) for 3 days, I started having back pain. I've never had an experience with shoes like this before.

I thought these would be a good substitute for L42 (the leather sneaker which I couldn't find), but they do not provide enough support and are wider than expected. Most of my shoes are Archpedico, so I was disappointed. Don't seem as well made as the one's I have bought in the past.
