The first year I had these boots was great. After a year the lining started to come apart from the outside, making the fit sloppy and also making it very hard to take the boots off.

I have a pair of Terrains, marked 6.5B, I got about 4 years ago. They fit perfectly from the first moment--no break-in period required. Although marked a B width, they were so wide that I had no issues with any rubbing (like I normally do); in fact, I had to pull the laces as tight as they would go (1st time ever). ILOVE these boots. They are pretty beat up looking now, so I wanted to order another pair for work. Tried on same size Terrains, same color, in store--6.5B-- WAY too small. Even held up my current boot to it, sole to sole, and there was a big difference in width. Both supposedly 6.5B. So I went online and ordered a 7B, because the color I wanted did not come in a C width. (WHAT IS THE DEAL WITH THAT???) Still too narrow. Held that one up to my 6.5 B and the 7B was more narrow and less than ?? longer than the 6.5B. Returned those and ordered a 6.5 C. Those are more narrow than the 6.5 B I had originally as well, and they are supposed to be the wide width! Returning these also and will try a 7 C this time. I really hope this one works; if not I will be searching again for the perfect boot with another brand. **to those whose first response is ?your foot changes over time??that is not the case as my original 6.5B still fit perfectly. Obviously, if my foot had changed that much, those boots would not still fit** What is going on with your sizes? Why the change? If my original boots were incorrectly labeled from the start, I need to find whatever that size and width is. Are you getting any more C width boots in stock that are actually wide? I see several styles that indicate a C width is available, but then when you click on it, only certain colors are available (example: Heritage paddock boots?C is available in black but not brown). Would men?s boots (if small enough) be wider than the women?s? I am very disappointed in this development-- I finally found the perfect boot, and then you changed the sizes. I don?t see the point of doing that. Looking at several reviews, I am not the only multiple-pair owner who has noticed a change in the sizes. I truly hope I can find the size that fits once again and remain an Ariat customer.

This is the second pair of terrain boots I have purchased and I love them because they are so comfortable and require no break in period; however, I am disappointed because they wear out so easily. This last pair is not even six months old and is no longer waterproof and the soles are starting to separate from the boot. I do walk many miles for my job but at this price it's hard to replace them just after a couple of months

Very comfortable. Boot welt fell apart faster then any other boot I have ever owned. Unfortunate but not surprised.

I just love, love my original pair of Fatbabys - solid, roomy, thick padded footbed, soft shaft, just so easy to wear all day in the field. By comparison, these felt so light and unsubstantial in the hand and on the foot, and were so stiff they rubbed my skin raw within 15 minutes of walking in them. The leather on these is clearly inferior to the original models, and what's with that foam/fabric lining? These are really more appropriate for fashion wear than work wear, which is unfortunate because they look so cute. But I sent them back and bought used original Fatbabys online.

I bought these as my first pair of cowboy boots about 2 months ago. Yesterday, I discovered that the rubber sole at the toe was splitting into layers. After further inspection, I discovered that the stitching had pulled through the rubber, so it was splitting all across the front, and was beginning to pull apart on the sides, too. For being so expensive, I didn't think structural integrity would be an issue, and am very disappointed because of it. I will be taking them back for a replacement, since they ARE incredibly comfortable and fit well, but if those fall apart as well, I will have to find another, sturdier boot.

I bought this boot in powder brown several months back and when I took them out of the box they looked so different than in the picture. The top was powder brown, but the bottoms were so dark that they looked funny with the tops. Also the tops are suede, so if you don't like suede stay away from this boot.

So i purchased these because let's face it, they look awesome! However, not even a year later, they are coming apart. The stiches that hold the sole are all ripping and the gap is ever growing where the big toe joint meets the sole. They have been taking on water from about 3 weeks after purchase and i don't mean i go swimming with them on, but just walking through morning grass with due will cause them to leak and eventually soak right through. This is my 2nd pair and i'm affraid after the dissapointment, will be my last Ariat boots. :(

I have worn Ariats for years and these are the most uncomfortable boots I have ever had. Very narrow in fit and hard insole and footpad structure. My feet kill me by end of day. Design is cute, comfort is awful.

There has always been so much to like about the Ariat Terrain over its lifespan as an Ariat boot model - fit, comfort, etc. However, since Ariat began the use of the 'hardshell' toe and heel covers, the Terrain has declined as my choice of boot. What in all aspects would appear to be a design improvement will, over time and wear, become a problem for the owners of this boot. I have had two pairs of boots with this feature, and both have come unstitched where the toe and heel material attaches to the leather of the boot. In the case of the recent pair I ended up taking them to a repair shop to have them re-stitched. For what this black plastic hardshell cover gives me, I would rather go back to a plain, reinforced leather model. Oh, and ARIAT has - I am certain - heard the following before, PLEASE lengthen and double or triple stitch the finger pull tab at the back of the shoe. At least on your men's shoes they are completely unusable - they are way too short, and tear easily. If you need help with this take a look at an Aussie boot - R.W. Williams, Baxter's, or Blundstone's.

These are great looking boots. I love Ariat and really hoped these would work. Unfortunately, this boot didn't fit me and I tried two pairs. I've been told I have high arches but the support in this boot is too high and not quite in the right spot for me. It caused pain in a short amount of time. I had to return them.

I love the look of them, however, they are the stiffest upper that I have ever worn or even seen. I truly hope that they soften up soon orI willhaveto call customer service and ask them what Ican do.

I got these for Christmas and was devastated they don't fit. It already sucks that most retailers don't carry a size 11, so my family travelleda couplehoursto find thesein an11, but when I went to put myfoot inthey are narrow! So narrow my foot couldnt even get IN the boot. These are a long narrow boot. They are a size 11 in length but a size 8 in width. I went and took a look at the rest of what ariat has to offer and they are all narrow. Guess ill keep my 3 year old pair of ariats and buy a new brand. I would normally consider these boots an everyday versatile boot, but I am rating them casual as I could see them being very discomforting to anyone with a wider foot.

I found these uncomfortable - cut into me at the ankle. I think I'm just better with the boots that provide more support and cover the ankle, which I've wornforever.

I walk miles and miles on concrete and hoped I could wear these year round. I spoke to customer support and was told these would be perfectandwould evenhelp myfeet andalignment issues. I tested them out ona couple of 57 degree days and my feet were extremely hot. I tried the thinnest socks I could find and my feet were still hot and the top of my toe was on it's way to a blister. Also, it hasn't helped my knee issues at all. Lastly, these have full grain leather and a Cordura nylon upper -- whatever that means, but they feel like pleather. Customer service was very nice, but these boots aren't for me. Very disappointed.

I think that these are great work boots! My only big complaint is that there is not enough tread on the boot, if it rains i find myself slipping!
