Very narrow despite buying the wide size. The calf for wide calf didn't seem to be much difference either.

Only reason I didn't like these was because of the quarter inch edge of the tred Around the base. It doesn't feel right walking or looking down at them. Nothing wrong with the boot. Just not the original style I like personally.

I bought these this year and they are already worn out. Doesn't seem to be as long lasting of quality as the previous exact boots I have ordered. Disappointed.

I work on a horse farm and was wanting a good boot for everyday wear. Something waterproof, comfortable and durable. I thought Ariat would be the best because in the past I have well loved western boots that lasted forever. Well after only 4 months of everyday use they're cracking on the sides, the sole is coming apart and are no longer waterproof. If I'm spending this kind of money on any boot I expect better quality from such well respected equine brand. It seems the quality has gone downhill.

I wore these for about a week and afterwards I had pain all the way from my feet to my hips. I changed the insoles and everything and they still just killed my feet and hips especially. My coworkers swore by them but I couldn't bear to wear them anymore. In addition they got dirty so quickly and creased after day 3. Not a fan (personally)

I was so looking forward to wearing this boot!
Unfortunately, it has a very narrow neck and I am unable to even get my foot past the turn. If I could get my foot in the boot it would likely fit. So sad.

I have purchased numerous Terrain Waterproof boots for the last 10 years. Something has happened with the quality of these and other Ariat boots. In fact, at the horse rescue ranch where I volunteer, a few of the other gals agree with me about this significant decline in quality (and increase in price!). This review is for the latest pair of Terrain Waterproof boots I bought about two years ago. I wear these boots twice per week at the ranch for about 5 hours each day. My feet are KILLING me by the time I'm done and this did not start happening until my last pair (which I replaced with these and now have to replace again - but this time with a different brand). Also, my feet feel like they are on fire after my day is done. I'm just really sad that Ariat quality has taken a tumble - there were so many years where their women's boots were unbeatable. I gave them two stars because they are still pretty well waterproofed!

I've had these boots in the past with no complaints but they have changed. Not the same quality! I may have kept them but in addition there was a defect inside the boot that made them so uncomfortable I had to return them. Easy return & refund but disappointed. I've been around long enough to remember Ariat from the start, when they were a good quality company. Now like every other company they have outsourced to China.

I've been buying Terrains for years and the quality has progressively gotten worse and worse. I always have at least 2 pairs of paddock boots, and often are rotating 3 pairs. The Terrains are super comfortable and useful for me BUT they DO NOT last anymore. For example I usually wear a specific pair of Terrains twice a week. The last 5 pairs I bought separated at the seam at the ball of my foot on both boots within 9 months. That's not much wear!! I never get them wet or wear them in the mud - I have muck boots for that. I clean and condition them weekly at least once. I've even tried 2 different sizes but they still fall apart at the same place. Looking for a replacement - going to try Justin or Mountain Horse. No more Ariat Terrains for me.

When the Terrain boots first came out they were the only shoes I could wear when I had plantar fasciitis. The last 3 pairs I've gotten have not lived up to that quality. The materials seem cheaper, more plastic than leather, my feet float around inside them, they stretch out faster and don't even last a year now. And the ATS foot beds flatten out way too quickly and seem very thin. I've had this pair just under a month and my feet already hurt. I wish they would go back to the original quality. Unfortunately I can't return them because I've already worn them outside working.

I absolutely love these boots. However, I just noticed that on one of the heels the glue/gloss is peeling off. I have worn these boots maybe 5 times. For the price of these boots, they should be better quality. Very disappointed.

Loved these boots until they came apart where the leather meets the sole. Both boots both sides. Boots aren't even a year old.

I bought these about a month ago and they are very stylish boots. My reason for buying them is I work long hours on concrete flooring and I need something that keeps me comfortable. I have received a lot of compliments on the style of these boots, however, my feet and body hurt at the end of the day after wearing them. I tried putting inserts in them but, it didn't help. Maybe I need try Ariat inserts for them. They seem like they will last and I love the Aztec design but, I wish they were more comfortable. I also wear thicker socks because they are a little wider than expected. I wear an average width size the they're slighter wider than that. For style I would recommend. For comfort I would not.

This is my third pair of Ramblers. My first two were exceptional. This last pair it appears that the quality of leather has changed (not for the better). The toe is not as squared as they used to be, and stitching is a much different color. These boots are also now higher than the last ones. I realize fit changes with leather but the fit on these is off. My left boot is perfect and my right boot is very loose. Tough deal but I'll be shopping for a different style next time.

I loved the look of these boots, I had read all the good reviews and was so excited for them! Unfortunately I found the leather extremely stiff and uncomfortable. My left foot fitted inside the boot but I couldn't get my right foot into the other one! I was sad to send these boots back.

I have had two sets of these boots. I love them because they are comfortable for riding as well as hiking. But one boot on both sets ripped at the toe so it isnt waterproof anymore. This happened on each set only after 6 months! And I only wear them in the mornings....though they do get wet a lot. I would not call these boots very rugged at all.

I was really excited about these shoes, wore them for a few hours for work, and my Achilles tendons were extremely sore. I put them on the next morning for an hour of work and had to take them off because my tendons were so sore I could barely walk. I'm unable to return the shoes to the store where I bought them, so I suppose next step is to try and sell them.
They did keep my feet warm and dry, the support was great, and sizing true!
I really like Ariat, but these are not for me.

I have purchased two pair of these boots. They were very comfortable. I use them every day all day working on my ranch. Both pairs only lasted about 5 to 6 months. They crack and wear out in the crease where they bend at the base of your toes. Very good boot if you do not plan on using them much, for the occasional hike or weekend use. For me too expensive for the time I get out of them.

First I ordered my size for hiking shoes, 8.5. They felt half size a little too big. So I thought it’s easy, I’ll exchange into 8, half size smaller. 8 came, and they were even bigger. I checked the box, I checked the shoes, everything says Woman 8, but they feel and measure like 10. So I gave up and ordered Merrill.. they are fine as usual.

I had bought these about a month ago and can't even wear them for more than a few hours. The left one fits just fine. The right boot is super tight and uncomfortable. I even bought boot stretcher and have left it in there for a week and it'll go back down to the original size within a few hours to wear it squeeze my foot.

Just way too wide in the calf, was hoping they'd be narrower than the original heritage I have. Loved the colour.. just need to be made narrower

In September of 2018, I ordered these boots. It hasn't even been 6 months and they're falling apart. The toes are peeling, the sole is coming off, and the water resistance has not been affective since the first month I bought them. I don't wear them everyday, maybe 2-3 times a week. Very disappointed in the quality of these boots for the price I paid. I expected a much higher quality as I have always chosen Ariat when purchasing tall boots for English riding.

Within a week of starting to wear these, I HAD to go out & buy inserts for these boots. Standing in them for any length of time was agony, and ended up at night with me popping Advil and having to elevate my feet.
In addition, I ride and train horses, & find these boots not high enough on the leg for walking in sand arenas when training. I end up having to take off the boots and shake out the sand and shavings before going in the house.
Disappointed
