I bought these 3 months ago. I had to get arch supports to put inside because these boots would kill my feet after hikes. And these boots were made for trailing and not for hiking, because I would slip climbing up a hill and onto rocks.

I ordered my normal size and they were huge so I exchanged them for a full size smaller.
Once I got the correct size they seemed to fit great. These were great for hiking and were comfy at first but almost immediately rubbed huge blisters on my heels and sides of my feet. They fit snuggly and I was wearing thick socks with Band-Aids so I don't think they should have rubbed as much as they did. Not sure I will be able to wear them again if they are going to always rub this badly...

These boots look and feel nice. I can wear them all day with no problem. My only issue is that one boot fits differently than the other. I have had other boots and I know my feet are not different in size.

The tongue on the left shoe has an extra large hard piece hurting the top of my foot. Unable to wear. Have to rerurn.

Everything about the shoes are good except the seam over the top of the foot where the tongue meets the body of the shoe rubs the top of my foot badly, Only the left foot has this problem. Looks like I have to return it.

I bought these in a 10D a month ago and have been happy with them. I usually wear a 10.5 or 11 in shoes, but the ones I tried on in store were WAY too big. So I went with a 10D in these. I thought with time the slipping on my heels would stop once they got broken in, but it's actually gotten worse. My left boot fits pretty well and is snug across the instep. My right boot is snug across the instep when I first put them on, but throughout the day they stretch and I can almost walk out of my right one. I don't know how to fix this issue, I couldn't get my foot into a 9.5 and the ball of my foot falls within the widest part of the boot.

These boots are pretty comfortable and waterproof. But they have no traction! I tried them out on a 3 mile hike in slightly muddy conditions and I was sliding all over the place. It seems odd that hiking boots would have soles like a gym school. Look carefully at the photos before you buy if you need good traction.

I had a pair of original Fat Baby's for over 10 years. The new pair I have just isn't as comfortable and I hate they aren't leather on the inside anymore. Don't get hay, foxtails or anything else in your boot or it gets stuck. At least I still have my brow originals.

Never thought I would own a real pair of "cowgirl" boots because of those pointed toes. These fatboys are perfect...no pointed toes and the fix is amazing! Love these!

Ordered an 8.5, based on the fit of the other Ariats in my closet. This boot was tight in the toe box which slopes in more like an almond toe instead of round. I had wanted to use this boot as a hiker but the tread is not as deep as I had hoped so will not be ordering the next size up. Thanks Zappos for easy returns.

I bought these in June of 2019. I wore them everyday and they are comfortable but not as durable as I had hoped. It's now August and they are falling apart unfortunately and no longer waterproof. They are great for light usage but not everyday farmwork.

I was so excited to have a fresh pair of Ariats - my old ones are 15+ years old! These seemed to fit the bill and I wore them for about a year. I finally had to give up on them because they stretched out so much that I had to wear two pairs of socks with them and they still were loose! Rather disappointing, especially since I've had 5 other pairs of Ariats over the years that worked out well.

This boot felt wider, and just more roomy than the others. I returned them.

Toe box was too narrow for my feet. Shoe bent across top of my toes when I walked forward. Not comfortable. Returned.

These were a lot clunkier than I thought they would be. I wanted something a bit more shoe-like, but I felt like I was a lumberjack in these. Great quality, just not what I wanted.

Toe box in Wide size was still too narrow for my feet. The lining seemed to require thick socks for real comfort. Since there was no room for thicker socks, I have returned these shoes. Will try something else.

In last 7+ years, the sizing for these boots has drastically changed for the LARGER. My current 7+ year old Ariat Terrain H2O boots are 7.5 and still holding on, but wearing a little bit. Today I'm struggling to not have my feet swim around in a new size 7. I even tried 6.5 but they're too short. I'm trying the Ariat Terrain Pro H20 in 7.0 and hoping for the best. Nothing beats the Ariat Terrain comfort and all around versatility, but it looks like I'll be wearing my banged up boots a bit longer.

received these 3 days ago. bought the hombre red. It is more of a brown with a little red hue. toe is very tight. i always by a "B" width in my Ariat boots but find these almost too tight to wear.. Would not recommend if you have a slightly wide foot. narrower than most "B". I may have to return

Great boot except for color. They are very comfortable, but are not really black, rather a weird shade of blue.
"Distressing" looks a bit like mildew.

My feet are a solid sized 9, yet so many shoes do not fit correctly and this was one of them. I really wanted these shoes to work, yet it seems the hiking style shoes are so much larger (perhaps to accommodate fat socks?) I found these so large, in length and width, that I was concerned that the next size down would still be too wide. The toe box area was roomy, which is preferred and I felt would still work even a half size smaller. I felt them slip too much on the heel with every step and I would imagine blisters after hiking for a couple hours. I liked the color though visually they looked long and the red "Ariat" tag right in front I didn't care for. So the wide heel was a deal breaker and these were sent back for another brand. I cannot speak to their waterproof claim as they were returned.

I've owned these for few years and the boots are still in excellent shape all around except for the pink lining which is peeling, flaking and making a general mess every time I remove my boot. I have another pair of Fatbabys that also have a colored lining and it is sealed and flat like the day I bought them. Maybe I just got a defective pair? These boots are the most comfortable shoes I own but I only wear them around the house and for outside work now because of the mess.
