I am on my third round of these. I ride in them multiple times a week stomp in the mud and walk around town. My only reason for not giving a 5 star- the cushioning would be improved, when I try other Ariat boots the cushion is much softer and more supportive.

They were so comfy, lightweight and comfortable. a little darker than the photo online but very pretty. I returned them because the back of the heel area had a scratch and looked like glue was on there. Customer service was nice on the phone and they emailed me a free return shipping label. I will be re ordering another pair because I loved them. But I was being picky with the quality.

My first ariat boot purchase and I am very satisfied. These are super lightweight and comfortable. The color seems a bit darker than what is shown on the website. Overall I really like them.

bought them for my husband and he loves them wears them 5 days a week for work. Bad thing is the sole of the boots cracked on both of them and now i have to buy new ones and there pretty pricey. He loves them though and i will have to get him some new ones they lasted him 2 years so that was good.

I just wish it was a composite toe and had the same stitching on the toe as the other rambler. I got 3 years out of the pair I had.

Love the look and feel of these boots. The rep told me to order them in my tennis shoe size (9.5D), but if I could go back, I'd order them 1/2 size down as them seem to run a little large (loose in the heel and a bit long). Other than that they're extremely comfortable and look great.

I like non insulated boots for summer. It's not waterproof, which is what I like. They have a more comfortable sole than the WorkHogs... I like them so far. 3 weeks old

Incredibly comfortable boots. I'm on my third pair. I've worn them everywhere. I am hard on the soles of footwear and the heels hold up great.

There was a manufacturing defect in the seam of the boot so I called customer service and I sent them back and I'm currently awaiting the refund

I got them as a gift from Christmas. When they arrived they already had a big scuff across them and I was upset but I have worn them outside doing chores and every where and love them. They are so comfortable and hold up well.

I just got these boots in the mail today and I will say I was a little bit disappointed in the color. I ordered the color "Sunshine" and it is more orange in real life but other than that good quality. I would recommend a size half a smaller then your usual shoe size. For example I am a 9 and they are big on me so I would order a 8 1/2

I love the look of the boot and they are comfortable, however I noticed the brown around the bottom of the boot is subject to scraping off the brown leather. I have scrape marks on both (I believe it is when I get in or out of my car) but I don't know how to fix it. Scratch marks going everywhere, looks like they need painted. It has been too long to return them but I haven't worn them that often. I have never had a pair of boots do this before. If there is a way to fix them I wish I could find out how, google searches not showing much. That is why I gave them 4 stars vs. 5.

I read reviews and thought my size would fit. I always wear 9.5 in Ariat but folks were saying they ran small.. Much to my surprise they were a bit big. I think if I wore thicker socks they’d have been okay, but didn’t want to spend that much to be wrong. Sadly, they were returned.

I like these boots. I had some heavy-duty hiking boots that were bulky and hot and was looking for something that would be lighter, durable, and waterproof. I like the Ariat brand, they always fit well. I haven't worn them hiking yet, but did put them on to go shopping and to break them in a little. I took out the insert and added my own because I need extra arch support. They were very comfortable. My feet were not too hot but were a little damp when I took off my socks. They seem pretty durable and well-made. The soles (and uppers) are slightly stiff and a little noisy on hard floors. I have an average foot and wear between a 9 - 9 1/2, sometimes a 10 in some brands. I got a 9 1/2 and they fit well with thin socks. I think maybe a 10 would have been too large. The only thing that bothers me is that I wanted something cuter and they look like, well, regular hiking boots. However, I would rather have something that is durable and supportive for my feet. They are nice boots and the quality is something that you would expect from Ariat.

Does not fit like Cooper Ariat Terrain H20, which I purchased. The toe box on the Distressed Brown is too wide. I've had a lot of Ariats, but this one fits differently than the others; just not supportive enough in the front part of the shoe..
I'd also recommend:

These are great endurance riding and every day wear shoes. I have horrid feet and been wearing 8.5 M terrain in other colors since '92 but have worn the black for a very long time now. I worn hard orthotics since '82 and nsg school. I have to take out the insert. These are the only shoes I have NEVER walked over the soles. (Clarks were only a month before I walked them over, but those were for office work. ). I love these shoes and I have been bugging Ariat CS ever since they came out with their first wides asking for black. . Wide black have been in the "process" for decades now. The only dressy color and they can't make it wide. I have no idea what their problem is! Lots of reviewers complain at the lack of wide. I do not like distressed leather but they all seem to be that. Every little mark shows. I've had them before. So now I am going to the H2O terrain in Copper in a 9 wide. It seems the darkest. My toes need more room. I pray this solves the squished toe problem. These last about 2 years before the sole tread srarts to go in the ball of the foot and heel. They really can last 3 before there are smooth spots on the soles. Heel starts first. I have not tried other brands because they do not promote a steel shank nor stability.

Boots arrived today! I usually wear US women 6.5, but that was too large in this boot. Going down to size 6 provides a perfect fit. Haven't been outside yet to test the waterproof claim, but am very pleased with the materials and construction and most of all the comfort. My footing will be confident going into winter!

I bought 2, Earth and Wicker, in 12EE. Wicker is slightly larger but it is manageable. Earth took a little longer to break in. Overall satisfied. I would buy black if I could find it.

I bought a regular size 12 women's ariat a couple years ago. I have a hard time finding my size and wanted a black pair for my job however can't find them in stores. Fat baby II I ordered and they were way to big for a size 12. I wish more stores had them because ordering online is irritating knowing anyone else can walk in a store and be okay. Finally a size 12 came out in a regular fat baby. Color black and now I am waiting for them to come in while having to send the others back. Hopefully we can get more of a selection to the stores so we can pick from them in person. If you order a size in a fat baby number 2 than it'll be too wide and big

So I've come the the realization that I don't wear a W in Ariat; maybe a D rather than a C? These are really nice boots and I really wanted to love them, but they're just too slim for me. (Although there's good arch support, nice heel protection, heels are narrow enough to prevent slipping when walking, and top of boot is high & spacious enough to allow plenty of comfort for my higher foot because of my high arch.) I normally wear power-step orthotics and this footbed is good enough that I think I could pass on the inserts. Sadly, I have to return them. Otherwise, wonderful boot! waterproof, nice dark brown, leather, comfy (for others :). If you wear a medium, buy it!

These are CUTE. But they are not for serious terrain hiking. The tread minimal. They look great on, but that’s really not the point of a hiking boot. These are also hard to GET ON. With no hooks at the top (they lace all the way up), it’s hard to get them wide enough to fit my foot through.

I've had these boots for two years and wear them when riding my motorcycle. Typically, they might be worn twice a week from mid-spring thru mid-fall. Accordingly, the leather and soles are in really nice shape. However, those black rubber toe and heel caps......they are turning into a nice gooey black mess on both shoes. If you touch it with your fingers, better get some Lava bar soap or GOJO Waterless Mechanics hand cleaner to get the stuff off. In technical terms, the polymer material is breaking down (i.e., separating) into whatever petrochemicals it was formed from. Yea, it's bad and the product should be avoided.

I really wanted to keep these but the right one bothered me so much in the back that I'm afraid when I'm hiking it's going to be worse. So sadly I have to return them.

I have been wearing these boots over a year and they have been through lots mud and rugged terrain but the welt stitching goes through the bottom tread, what is with that. The stitching is has been massacred because of the open stitching on the bottom. Overall good boot but the open stitching is a downside.
